Which points system should we use?

  • 1: 40 per race, 20 pole position, 0 points second in qualifying

Remember this is a small track with lots of slowish corners followed by long straights. I fully expect to be hearing how overpowered the Renault is after the race again.

I can add ballast correct?

Yup. This isn't a strict series.

And lancer, whoever wins will be said to have a OP car, if I win heaven help me!

Volvo Too fast :p

Has already been brought up, both Volvo drivers bailed...

Lancer has it 2 seconds faster than my civic ;(

What spec is your Civic? Type R '08?

276/1200

And yep, the premium one. The newer, not the 1997ish one

I will guess it struggles with torque? Always was the cars issue in TOCA. Lightweight and handles well, but poor with no torque punch.

Lets just say I need to keep my momentum up by all means needed!

But hey, I like it.

Fun to drive, and a great handling car. Shame it didn't take as many TOCA wins as it could have.

I'd race it :)

I could've won 2 races so far here, but things haven't gone my way...

Meh, can say that about most of my TOCA weekends.

It's been 2 weeks...

Stop complaining, you don't work 40 hours a week.

Sorry, but I'm calling BS here... YouTube video to follow this afternoon.

But lets keep the discussion going :)

The YouTube video clearly shows me letting him past after he cuts me off and I almost spin him. Your video captures the "I'll do nothing, and go to the outside and let him past."

To be fair, Mel, it was High Speed Ring. Sometimes blocking is necessary, especially on the last lap. There isn't, and I would hope there isn't, a single person who wouldn't try and stop themselves from getting freight-trained and losing 5-6 spots, especially coming to the line on the last lap.

Watch the video.

I wasn't talking about the video, I was talking in general.

Yeah. But, braun wasn't being freight-trained. He was last. He wouldn't enter track at specs, spent time after qualifying to retune his car, and didn't run at correct specs. He backed out after controlled entry... I was almost late for my symphony because he wanted to cheat. :ouch:

And here we go!

Do you want a public fight? See Facebook. We're here to race, not argue about arguing. There are rules.

Mel are you completely online with the rules yourself?

Yes. I have been clear, throughout.

Braun received a friendly word of warning during preseason, for poor driving conduct. Then, braun received a penalty (DQ'd) for specifications infractions last week at Suzuka East. We discussed it. Then, this week, he still wasn't at Scirocco specs. I asked him to sit the round out (i.e., so that no one drives backwards à la Rolex yesterday.) and he didn't leave. He has never, and will never, listen to the authority running the series and offering $200 in prizes to Top 5 in points. The shame is that he could do well in points, given your absences ( :( ) and my poor showings. But, instead, he chose to cheat and punt his way to the Top 5 in points, instead of racing hard. No prizes for cheating.

The person at Rolex didn't drive backwards, he drove the right way, in reverse.

Either way.

And, for any one interested:

WMA Sporting Conduct Regulations

WMA Driver's Handbook

Both of those are rulebooks. The WMA Driver's Handbook is an as-yet unfinished full guide to online racing (ran out of time writing it.) The Sporting Conduct Regulations is the official rule book. We use it more often privately, to refer to a specific, unwanted behaviour, and less often publicly.

Woah, even more complaints about race 1 conduct from my PSN inbox.

I went on to check the points, and update them (finally have time, sort of) and found further complaints about braun. I feel justified, now, more than ever before.

Edit: even though he probably won't stay, I feel like bolding furinkazen's name, because it's at the bottom.

Edit 2: Points are up to date from Round 2.

Edit 3: All of the posts on the first page are updated, including points. cnd01 takes a huge hit in the points after Round 3, moving me up to a podium-points-position. I will not claim a prize, however, so there will still be prizes for all of you in the Top 6, if I'm in the top 5.

Race 2, Season II, Round 3, last lap. :) The best racing I think anyone will find anywhere. 👍 Great racing guys!

The Video of Polar only shows brauns weak-a** driving !!!
And braun never spun he "drifted" but himself was the main reason for that. He swerved blocked ran into Mel and steered into him although Mel was besides him already !!

==> that braun got a bann is more than justified !!

@Mel: Yeah last lap I thought oh man I´m going too loose this one and after the standings appeared I screamed "Yes Man !!".

 I was so disappointed when I saw how little speed I was carrying. But, seeing all of the cars separated by such a small amount of time was so worth it.

Fear not, I might get a win at Madrid. Or, whiskymaser, who plans on winning there himself.

As for the situation with polar's video, I let braun pass me after the contact, no harm. I know the OP says not to give back the position, but that's there for guys like Lancer and Sakery who are leading, so that drivers in the back don't have to swerve to avoid slowing traffic.
