at this point we have 10 people, that's plenty,

Well, remember sign-up and show-up is 2 completely different things. I don't remember if you were there but when I organized the All Night Endurance race we had a full signup list. 6 people showed. Same story about Grand Valley 300 KM. I'm not assuming we're enough until I've counted the numbers in the room.

I'm going to be there. Sorry for being really late to the party. :( I've been horribly busy with everything and havent been home at all except to sleep for the past couple weeks. Haven't had time to practice but its cool. Eiger is my strongest venue. I run under 3:45 at the K trail sipping on coffee with one hand on the wheel. :p I'll be fine. :)

I just this whole post, under 3.45 with a coffee? wow I'm somewhat in trouble,

Pray for penalties:scared:

So is the plan to organize and if we're full enough we run?

the GVS 300 was almost not done? that sucks! I hate that, if you can't commit to something then you should be down as a reserve, I hate time waster's!!!

Well, we ended up doing about 150 KM then stopping, because at that time we were 3 drivers on the track.. Had there been a rep system some drivers would've got a big 👎 from me

Heeeeey metalgear, decided to join us mortal again :)

Pfft, depends on the definition of mortal. On outright pace, I might edge metalgear out a bit. On consistency, he edges me out a bit. In short, we are mirror opposites of each other, and I'm faster. (insert "I'm not bragging" comment.)

Seriously, I'm glad to have my teammate back. Now, sleep!

how many actually turned up? and what was the issue?

You should be glad to have one. As I said I don't even know if mine is coming

@Dave, I think we were 5 or 6 drivers at the start, some retired due to time (we've delayed it AN HOUR to give people a 🤬 chance!!!) others due to damage/being very far behind

That's what I really mean. :) I saw your comments about how we're not mortal, and, I assure you, that we are, we just choose to seem alien.

👍

and just to clarify, we're starting at 7 or 8pm? I never remember.

the only person to reply to my PM's was metalgear, so far,

had my situation with the internet been different I would have showed up, and I will be attending tonight,

and a touch over 9 hours bud,

@metalgear, 7 pm bst, or in 9 hours :)

@Dave, no worries, what's happened has happened :)

that sounds about exactly right, I'd better get some sleep :p See you all in the morning. :D

I'm too tired to do any time conversions at the moment, but I'll try to wake up in time for the rally. I picked the worst night to stay up late. Though, if TDZdave didn't send me a PM, I would have missed it for sure.

Where'd you get the 53 from? I think someone's been looking at my Twitter page for too long...

I'm going to finally get down some practice in my Suzuki today. In the words of thy Block, I'm STOKED for this rally! :D

Exatcly. I'm just anxious about throwing away the championship too soon. However, I know why I got such a good result at Eiger and not at Chamonix. I practiced for hours in my Peugeot on Eiger, I knew I didn't have the fastest car, but it's not always about the car. A fast car cannot be fast without a fast driver. A slow car can be fast with a fast driver. Once I got the word that I'd been offered a seat at Suzuki, I let it get to my head, and didn't bother to practice as much as I did for Eiger, which clearly made an impact.

I still think I look like I'm taking this too seriously, but it's like I'm living the dream, virtually! I was even tweeting like a rally driver during the mini rallies...

Oh, and looking at the schedule... I'm so excited for the season! Or should I say... stoked. :sly:

I was intrigued as to see how someone "virtually tweets" like a race car driver, good job by the way!

I haven't tweeted or facebooked anything to do with my racing career, virtual or real life since I told my F3 manager to, in the words of the bloodhound gang, "stick it where the sun don't shine!

and I'd probably get the ..... taken out of me for falling into the online virtual trap, my friends would be like, so... dave.... how is the world of war craft???? meet any dudes yet???

Haha, thank you! I follow enough rally drivers to know how to tweet mid-rally. Although, if anyone visits my Twitter page right now, they'd get a shock looking at my recently uploaded photos. I was drunk on Monster, don't judge me.

I don't Facebook my virtual rally shenanigans. All I do on Facebook is like or share photos of cars, and perhaps I'll add a witty comment to a friend's status. I do most of my social networking on Twitter, where none of the popular people from school can laugh at me.

same, but I have noticed most recently that no one I know is following me on twitter, perhaps its time to get a little more articulate and confident in my tweets, about myself, I'm very confident and vocal about bashing Martin Brundle and that other half wit on their F1 comments, and Mark Skaife and Neil Crompton from V8 super cars,

that's why I liked Murray walker and the main WRC voice over guy, They didn't do their jobs because it was what they are good at, they do it because they love the sport, and they have all the equipment and technology but usually memory to know exactly what they're on about, the Martin isn't even a "has been" he's a "never was" spent most of his career being a mobile chicane, and I want Mark Skaife back in a super car, last year's Bathurst and Sandown races were so much better in the coverage then this year, not because I think he is a great driver and won both events with Craig Lowndes but the commentary was so much better because we couldn't hear what he was saying, which is usually something bias against the Ford teams, grrr I want to slap him down with a cold wet fish so bad right now!!!!

You raced in F3 for real?

You raced in F3 for real?

in the Australian F3 championship between 02 and 05, didn't get to do many races as I didn't have the financial budget of Will Power, and many more drivers that came through from there, but I was continually testing the cars as well as, Aust GT, V8 super cars, Sports sedans, porshe GT3, and some others, until 07-08, I got fed up with not getting a full time go and being promised the world every year, sponsors make that happen, and I was very short on them, but the ones I do have will stick by me in which ever course my career takes in the capacity that they can,

Or saying it short, when somebody goes from gamer to racer the world needs to balance itself and turn a racer into a gamer.

I've always been a gamer, If I ever got to race in the bathurst 1000 I would be like, can we start 15 minutes later, there's a race on GT5 I have a good chance of winning

save your penny's, yes go karts are fun, but if you do venture into motorsport, try going for production or saloon cars if your making it a hobby, a little bit more expensive to begin with, but cheaper for parts in the long run, and you will always be competitive, some friends of ours used to get their motor's blueprinted and rebuilt after every meet, they would turn up to 2 day meets with 3 engines and gearboxes, way to expensive,

Thanks I am in Rally lounge testing if anyone wants to join me.

I'm 10 minutes away,

rallymorten
You change to Corolla :sly: just kidding, I think we can have an exception about turbo :)

Only 9 signed up for the rally?? I've got to say, if we end up being 7 or less at the start I'll cancel it.

NOO don't end it! The only reason me and my team mate made Accounts on GTP was to participate in this because RSRBR has weird online mechanics..
