So, my idea came to fruition? That's uncommon. Right, it's Friday, the 29th of November. The calendar is marked.

Anyways, time to try to find an '05 Subaru...

Well I haven't yet decided if we should go with ECU change allowed or tuning prohibited but that's the finalists. Think I'll go with tuning prohibitet, depending how which changes you may make then.

@mel, I may have an '05 scoob to donate, if so I will send it to you, is the sedan version ok?

speaking of trading I'm looking for a VW Golf R32, should be AWD if you have it please send it, I will return the favour,

@rally, my potential choice, pending the (R32 VW) is up on share, I haven't modified it other then, oil change, Engine rebuild, chassis rebuild, I left the rest stock pending your evaluation,

Because the cars running in the P-WRC are actually stock cars and not cars made to look like stock cars my opinion (feel free to disagree anyone) would be :

* Stage 1 Weight Reduction (if required)
* Rigidity Refresher
* Sports ECU
* Height Adjustable Sports Suspension
* Weight = 1350kg or higher (in line with current regs)
* No Other Modifications (except of course paint colors)

I'll let you guys mull over the above. Good? Bad?

I am very interested in driving for this series.
But, I dont now if you guys have figured out any dates yet? which day a week the rally will be going? :)

Yet to decide on the final PWRC regulations but expect me to make a statement latest on Tuesday (due to the well known parent problem)

Saturdays every other week is the day, starting some time in January :) (hey, my original idea turns out to become official  )

Edit: OP updated. PWRC will disallow any changes affected by "tuning prohibited". Not that I don't trust you but rather be safe it's close to equal :)

So... does that mean PWRC cars have to be completely stock apart from body colour and wheels?

Yes Katie, you can change oil, rebuild your engine, and adjust brake balance, possibly camber too, That is all,

..........Now I'm really going to have to change out of the AUDI, 227BHP under this rule,

I'm going to confirm myself in an '05 STi or a Lancer Evo X.

ok people, here is a list of true to life Subaru's mainly for MrMel's sake but if your looking for a specific then here you go, as PD and the GT crew got the year's totally WRONG!

STi00.jpg

This is the 1999, 22B Subaru, Last made in '99, PD say it was made in '00,
the 4 door was last made in '00 ,PD say it was last made in '98,

WRXSTI02.jpg

Here is where the first of the balls up start's by the GT guy's, and the knock on affect happens fright through the rest of the cars,
This is the '01-'03 Impreza, PD say it was made in '00,

2004-Subaru-Impreza-WRX-STi-FA-brick-1280x960.jpg

Next is the '04- '06 Impreza, PD say's its made in '02,

WRXSTI05.jpg

This is the late '06-'08 Impreza, PD call it the Spec C '05, which is almost correct, its the '06 Club Spec but, the Club spec or Spec C only has 1 Turbo, twin turbo set up's are STI only,

STI08.jpg

Gah, 2008, what stupid year for Subaru, They announce that the STI version will only come out in the hatchback/ wagon/ estate shape only! which I thought was mental, but IT WILL BE my next Subaru purchase after the Legacy gets to old and out dated, PD say this is the '08, which is almost right, production started in August but was not released to the public until March/ April 2009

ST11.jpg

Now, this is the only one PD got right, after bad sales on the WRX STI hatchback the soon realized people prefer the sedan version, its a part of the STI essence, so to rectify this they designed and quickly produced this sedan version and released as soon as they could, but because it was rushed there were a lot of thing's over looked, and other things "forced to fit" which really isn't Subaru, because of all the mechanical and aero drag from this poorly engineered version, the RS non turbo hatch is the current fastest version, really that's BS you say, well.... its true, the RS no turbo hatch is only 30BHP less and is also (depending on optional extra's) can be up too 200KG less, that's where the added performance is gained,

I hope this helps anyone who is looking for a specific Subaru in the game and think, this shape doesn't match what you believe,

Look!! GC8, GD8, and then the "GE8".

The GC8 was made in 2000, Dave. I mean, really.

GD8 was made from 2001 'til 2008.

GE8 is ugly. GD8 "Jet design" is ugliest. GD8 "teardrop," though, is incredible. I own one.

P.s.; I need the hood from that '04, Dave, made from carbon fiber. That's the hood I want.

yes I'm aware that the base structure was carried through from '01 to '08, but Subaru focused the year 2000 on the Liberty/ Legacy/ outback car surplus because no new models were coming through to the public until late '02,
I love that gigantic air intake, I may have one (fake) in the shed, I would have to check in the shed, but if I do you can have it at shipping cost,

Haha, does it have much rust? If no rust, then it's better than the one I've got now.

I just found this. I wish GT5 had tire pressure adjustments. I remember autocrossing my Accent with 40 PSI...

And, I just did PWRC testing... And got HUGE air. Ummmmm, I'm worried, about how much air I got. Time to PM rallymorten.

Quick question - can we make our own teams for SWRC and PWRC? That way there could be a SWRC and PWRC constructors champioship.

Swrc is for front wheel drive

Like a sponsored team, that way if the Subarus dominate the entry list, we have a more balanced teams list :D Katie, wanna team up?

Though I dont like the PWRC bhp limit, because they are really not standard car friendly. At around 320 bhp (following a full engine rebuild, tried on multiple cars), I have to put the power limiter as low as 91% to keep it at 295bhp. I am sorry, but that is complete 🤬, and it doesnt favour using UCD cars.

Also, signing up for SWRC with a Volvo C30 R-Design.

SWRC is two-wheel drive, right? Then, if that's the case, RWD does fit.

In PWRC, rally, I think 305 will work. That's what I ran in my Impreza, yesterday.

OP says FWD

I am retiring from this the WRC and DTM as its not worth my time getting/ staying up till 5AM Sunday morning to be told its cancelled, for those who still participate, good luck and have fun,

! We need to think of a team name! :p

PWRC will be Mitsubishi and Subaru. An Audi S4 or two might make an appearance. An Audi quattro should make an appearance. Dave should make MANY appearances.

Later-F1r3 world rally team for me! Colors are white with bright blue rims!

Guys, I appreciate the growing interest in SWRC but seeing as you guys couldn't turn the S1600 into a S2000 class, I'm kinda disappointed it took this long, no offence. So I'm considering turning it into BWRC (guess what the B is for), seeing as we lack cars and creativity for Super 2000 :)

Edit: Now that DTM has died twice I'm really keen to actually get it going or let what could be the most different (because rally) series in GTP history die for good.

@rally mate, I tried to get creative by using the VW R32, AUDI S3, Toyota Celica/ Caldina GT-Four but with tuning prohibited and engine size restrictions those particular car's are really disadvantaged, for obvious reason's I can see why the engine restrictions are in place, otherwise the field will be like this,

McLaren MP4/12C
AUDI R8 4.2/ 5.2
NISSAN GTR 07, 09, Black edition,
NISSAN SKYLINE R34, R33, R32,

you catch my drift, but here's how we can fix it, by adoption the Australian Rally Championship rules,
the ARC is both PWRC and SWRC almost, so lets get creative, we had the 2 split and I was prepared to get any "different" AWD car for PWRC, and something outrageous for SWRC,
Instead of the capacity rule make it so that the rule is "a version of this car must be in some form of SRC/ PRC" or could possibly be used in either real world championship,(engine capacity exempt) as we cant do engine swaps like forza 4,

I'd be quite happy to return on a part time basis if the VW/ AUDI were competitive,

The main idea was to make the classes as open as possible while still being realistic, though I just might scrap support classes for S1 and make them better for S2 (haven't I said this before  ?)

Anyway, I understand you Dave, and i respect what you have to do to get to whatever event that's not particularly aussie-friendly. I'm not sure I could go through the same 👍

the worst part for me with both series is the timing, I need it 3 hours earlier oor 3 hours later, you got to admit though, I did damn good for the first 5 rounds including pre seasons,

"damn good" doesn't even begin to describe it Dave

Eh, how many of us are mid/west U.S.? How much earlier woud you be able to attend? (If we can have it around afternoon GMT it's evening/early night Aussie time and morning U.S. time iirc which just might be more perfect :) )
