Got very lucky with guess 3 - not only was it right, but it gave me all five letters for top left too.
Guess 5 set up WALTZ nicely, but then I was at a loss for bottom right, except for the fact that there was practically nothing else possible - didn't even know it was a word!

After letting it sit and coming back, I still couldn't get that last word without just working alphabetically through remaining letters. The first word I entered was in the game's word list and, sure enough, that's what worked. I don't like to do it that way but that word never would have occurred to me naturally.

Both top words had several possible final letters, and I went back and forth with them, using letters that might appear in both first. It turned out that both did share the same missing letter (W) hence how one followed the other. I was left with a tricky last word for a 9, but found it in the end.
