What are your go-to strategies?

I'm an eliminate-the-vowels guy. First three guesses are always SALET, VICHY, ROUND and then I get them on attempt #4. The only thing that screws with this tactic is the presence of double-letters.

There aren't really any foolproof strategies. I go the RSTLNE route and I usually get the word, but not always quickly.

I do vowels first as well, but I use CAUSE and POINT.

So I read somewhere that CRANE is the best word to start with so I go with it. Prior to that, I was using HEARD.

I'm an eliminate-the-vowels guy.
Definitely this.

I start with SOARE pretty much every time and then go from there - either to start guessing the word straight away (if I get a couple of greens or yellows) or on to another elimination word (with the remaining vowels). Speaking of which, I like that SALET, VICHY, ROUND approach. Seems solid.

My best quordle yet.

I have a few starter words and select them based on what vowels were not used in the previous one or two games. If I get one or two greens on the first attempt and it points to a word that has lots of possible guesses, I'll use the next turn to eliminate common letters.

STAIR then HOUSE or OUNCE is a typical opening gambit for me, but I quite like AUDIO, esp. for Quordle as an opening word, followed by a word ending with E including any hits from AUDIO.

This was harder than it should have been. I spent 20 minutes punching in "sheltered" words (without enabling sheltered mode) and relying heavily on words not being on the list and my own memory for words I'd already guessed. I finally got it and kicked myself because it was obvious.

Who knew nouny was a word?

I always start with the word "stare" and then just work with what I'm given. If I get nothing on the first word, I try "cloud" for the second word. I've only been playing it for a week or so, but so far I've solved it by the third or fourth word.
