Just to be clear, the answer can't be a plural of something? Only something singular?

...that's a word? I thought it's what Moe calls Marge by mistake?

Quordle was fun today - despite getting off to a good start with a 3, I still only had one word right after 6 turns, and needed to get the other three in the last three turns...

It's a very common word in Scotland... but I'm guessing not very well used elsewhere. A 'midge' (pronounced midjee) is a tiny biting flying insect that is very common in the Scottish countryside and hills, and if you are not careful you can be bitten to absolute buggery by swarms of them.

Another Scottish 'midge' connection is that one of the two organisers behind the massive Live Aid benefit gigs in 1984 is Midge Ure, also of 'Ultravox' fame (and the song 'Vienna); the other organiser was Bob Geldof of the Boomtown Rats

Completely slipped my mind to post my results from yesterday. I didn't get it, was one letter off.

I thought I had heard of it and talked myself out of it for guess 4 and went with MIKED. When that wasn't it I felt I had nothing to lose and got it right.

Despite it taking me five tries to get it, it’s still probably the fastest I’ve ever done one of these. I think it took me less than a full minute.
