Ok, great! I will be looking for a car to drive then :D

Even though I've disliked GT4 rally very much and only played it in the licenses, I'm willing to give it a try. I think after getting used the the physics I might begin to like it, so this looked like a great opportunity 👍

I think I may just focus on two or three classes max. But I'll wait to see what the field sizes looks like. I'll definitely run 2WD Open with my rotary renegade though. :-)

Thought I better post some pictures like everyone else!

And one more

clio2small3nj.jpg

That last one would of looked really awesome with some backfire....

Nice angle with the first shot. The second shot is really good, but the really skinny tires somehow mar it up by looking out of place.

HHmm...perhaps I'll throw some sweet pics up here too. IF I have time that is, I now have to record everyone's car picks and stuff.

Hey Ben nice to see ya around dude! Feel free to ask more ?'s we dont mind! Pick some cars, some upgrades, roll around in the dirt and let me know what you want to race and if you change your mind about the series no prob! :) .

I'm going out for a little testing now, I'll see what I come up with :D

Someone mentioned pictures... so I couldn't resist.

The FTO:

The Audi:

Glad to see you guys really getting into this! Hell I thought I'd have about 5-7 people run at first then after about 3-4 weeks have like 3-5 people run. This is great to see the enthusiasm!

I'm so excited I have a tip to share with y'all! I apologize if I come across like a 'know it all' or condesending (sp?) but if u are having trouble making your ride just under the HP try NOT giving it an oil change. Or if ur like 30HP under, SAVE your game first THEN do an oil change, if ur over just reset and not worry about it! Seriously 20HP won't make or break ya....too much atleast.

Jerome

Okay, my Land Rover project blew a**. Thanks to jump_ace, I have a new devastating rallye weapon to give all you guys hell. :trouble:

The Nike One 2022 I'm not kidding....

Eh? Are concepts legal for Open 4WD?

Well the rules state 'No outright rally cars', so on that basis I guess it is. However, the Motor Sport Elise wasn't allowed to race on those same rules despite obviously not being an 'outright rally car'.

However, it would be interesting to see if that Nike car was ever good for anything...

Yeah I can't see how that thing could possiably get around a rally course without having heart-failure.

Yeah that Nike was a grey area but because its not a rally car and not a real race car AND because it has only 250HP (if I remember correctly) AND because the only thing u can do is put tires on it, I let it be legal. It was a tossup and I had to look into it personally, but seen as how u cant even adjust the tranny or anything, there's really no 'advantage' to choosing it unlike the Motorsport Elise which has 'racing everything.' It does handle real well very easy to drive so if you aren't good at rallying in general it would be a good car to learn on. I hope this doesn't upset too many people, I know I stated that there should be no concepts, but the whole reason I said that in the begining was to avoid everyone picking that car because it has such an 'edge' over everything else. 250HP is not an edge, when u can have 425HP.

EDIT PLEASE READ, I APOLOGIZE FOR THIS CONFUSION EVERYONE!:

I just did more testing in the car and I"m gonna have to retract that answer Jet. Even with all that low HP and not being able to adjust anything, it is still way over-powered against the other comp in 4WD. I hate going against what I said but this matter needed to be looked into further. Sorry Jetboys u'll need to find another car, but if you run out of time in picking another car I'll give you an extra day to decide as it is my fault for not thoroughly testing it right away like I should have. At first the car seemed fine, but it does have an 'edge' its VERY VERY stable and drives too different than the other cars. So with that 'edge' I"m NOT allowing the car.

Jerome

Honestly, I have to say, that if the Nike One is allowed in, everyone better take it.

Go take a few practice laps with it at any snow/gravel and you will see what I mean.

And I can not understand why this concept sleeper is allowed into Open 4WD but the Mo_Sport Elise, which comes with no adjustable racing parts is not allowed into 2wd Open.

Um NO! Wrong Number!!!!! LOL. That is why I chose Costa instead :) Kolyana understands why... :sly:

Okay so with about 24 hours to the 'deadline' we officially have 12 drivers signed up. I"m gonna make my spreadsheet and determine points and all that and make the week 1 page tomorrow. This is turning out way beyond what I was expecting! 👍

@SHig, did I miss your final car selection or are you still waiting? Or did I just miss your car selection :dunce: ?

jump_ace

I love Citi Di Aria, especially after re-running it forwards and backwards to win some Rally Cars I wanted to test out ... bloody great track. But we can only have so many and then the series gets *too* long and if the organizer HATES IT BEYOND ALL RECOGNITION WITH VENOM AND LOATHING LIKE THE VILEST BUBO ON THE BACKSIDE OF HUMANITY, then I can see why he'd not include it :p

Something like that yes. Now THAT was funny!

Gotcha Nitro! Sorry had pm's to sift thru.

Oh by the way, I will be using the max turbo for my cars. (stage 4) As per the rules choosing only one setup for the entire season. (Just the stage 4s for the WRC and Historic.)

Oh and my RX-7 is at 399 after break in, the Stratos is at 451HP and the Evo is at 513HP? I somehow lost 2Hp? wtf?

A minor setback. I'm flexible; I can adapt. :)

It happened to Kolyana during the Muscle Car Series too, dont sweat it. Another flaw by our gracious creators.

jump_ace

Yeah, it seems that every 500 miles, you lose 1hp off your top and an oil change won't get that back for you. Someone in another thread said that a CHASSIS REFRESH will get this HP back too, but I haven't tested it.

Well it did'nt seem to get the HP back for me. Thank you Poly for stupid programming. :-P
