It used to be that parents would have to knowingly invest heavily into kick-starting a career in motorsports for their kids.

Now kids can catch the attention of racing outfits without their parents even realizing that the "toys" they're buying for their kids might heavily influence their entire future. Incredible and great.

Looks like Schothorst ended up coming in 7th in his group, so somewhere around the middle. Not bad for his first go in a Formula Renault car.
