Worst b-day car ever!

I don't like cheating in video games so I haven't used the B-day cheat in this game but today is my actual birthday and I was so excited to see what car I would get from 1987, the year I was born. I saw the headlights of the car I got and thought it was going to be some 80's RUF or something then boom! I got slapped in the face with a Be-1 '87!!! WHAT A LET DOWN! Has anyone gotten a worse car than this for their b-day? is there a more awful and useless car in this game?
 
Damn mine is in 87, hope i dont get that piece of crap haha
 
Mine was pretty good, I got a 85 ford rs200 rally car

On the note of birthday cars though, people born in 61 will always get the E-Type Jag, and 60 will only get the Art Morrison Corvette. 77 is only the Stratos Rally car, 80 is only the Renault 5 Turbo, and 82 is only the Audi Quattro. Not bad years there that's for sure.
 
Ugh, I'll get either a Celica XX or a Izuzu Piazza...

I'm basing this off of the car list. There is only 1 car from 1960, and it is the Art Morrison Vette. If they made some other work around with this, I dunno. maybe you put your second account in wrong? Also, I wonder what they do with the years that have no birthday. I would assume they get a car that is one year newer, until there is a reward. There's very few cars available from the 40s and 50s.
 
I was born in 1982 so I'll get an Audi Quattro or an Audi Quattro or maybe even an Audi Quattro. :rolleyes:

The Art Morrison Vette is BASED around a 60 corvette, however it's mainly a tuner model made more recently.
 
Wish I would get a car from the year I got my drivers license, not from the year I was born... Cars got a bit more interesting in those 18 years (which is the driving age here in the Netherlands) :(

According to the car list on granturismo.com, it is listed as a 1960 car. There are quite a few cars in the game that do not have a model year listing, mostly due to them being customs, fictional, etc. This one lists 1960 though.

I assumed the same... I'll try again tomorrow and see. I could have stuffed up but I'm pretty damn sure I didn't.

Only two times out of 30 or 35 tries, I got a Chaparell Race car and a Lamborghini Miura.

All the others were Nissan Skyline and Mercury Cougar in all sorts of colors.

I took the Miura and stoped cheating. A community member send me the car I wanted.

You need to have amazing luck to get a useful or rare car.
 
will know later what they give for '79s, i guess it's something that'll spend 10+ around the ring...
 
This June, I'll get the only 1980 car in the game. A Renault 5, hmm... :ouch:

the mercury cougar is not a bad car
 
I was born in 1950 (so no car for that year). On my birthday I was presented with the 1949 Beetle which is guaranteed to be my birthday car for as long as I play the game. Must be close to the Be-1 in terms of desirability.

After that I was more inclined to keep a Birthday account. I have a 1989 Ticket on a 1989 account which presented me with the R32 Skyline GTS-T as my first car (hadn't got it so sent it to my main account). Second use was the Sauber Mercedes C9 which was one of the reasons for choosing 1989. Today I got a nice metallic Purple 300 ZX 2 Seater.

If you have a 1970 Birth Year there are way too many cars that you can get (original Celica, Galant GTO, Honda 1300, Mini Marcos, Honda Z Act, Superbird, Chevelle, Charger and Challenger plus 2J) and as far as I have seen you stand very little chance of a Toyota 7.

I figure there is potential to spend (and grind for) stupid amounts of money to buy all the cars so a few free ones along the way are just going to make (GT) Life that little bit easier
 
I´m 1985 and I got the Lancia Delta S4 Rally car. Pretty sweet :)
 
I suppose I'll get the E-type but will have to wait until Novermber to find out.

Even better, you probably already have it as a prize car. I did when I got mine.
 
mine is in '88. i wonder what ill get? i though i saw a list of cars for each year somewhere
