I have tested almost every car at every course in GT3, and the Supra handles FINE IMHO. :odd:

Worst car? Easy-The Mira. Even the MINI can kick its ass.

BTW, this is my 1st post.

Welcome to GTPlanet, then, RJ.

I was referring to an earlier post in this thread, hence the AOL-speak typing. I've got about 18,000 GT3 miles under my belt, and I'm far from a fast player, but I do know a bit about tuning.

I find that the Supra's power potential is vastly greater than its handling potential. Based on extensive testing at Apricot Hill during a 200,000-credit OLR event, I found that the Supra could really only effectively put down between 600 and 700 hp. After that the poor chassis was just overwhelmed and the car was not stable enough to take advantage of its astonishing speed capability.

For instance, with both the Supra and the RGT at maximum power, the RGT was clocking clean 1':11.low" laps in my hands, and dipped as low as 1':10.low". The Supra was reaching faster terminal velocities at the ends of both big straights, but was struggling to turn in 1':14.low" laps, and most were not clean enough for OLR standards.

I completely agree with neon_duke (With one small exception: American sports cars are probably better benchmarks for Supra in the game than a RR RUF. And a high-powered Vett absolutely owns it).

I -despise- the Diahatsu Minivan... Thats POS is the games worst sad excuse for a scooter with a body. If I could pick a punishment for the man who created it, seriously it would be along the lines of casteration by spoon.

The Spoon S2k is pretty sweet.
Although it does understeer on occasion, that can be fixed by adjusting the sport dampers that come with it.

As for worst car; New Beetle.

Why? Why is slow bad? The car handles like it's on rails.

Casteration by spoon? You're going to dust him with 5ml of fine sugar?

For approximately the same amount of money, I was able to beat the built Supra with the RGT, the Viper GTS, the Z06, and the RX-7 RS.

true, true. but nevertheless ive seen some videos of the supra drifting sweetly around the wet SSR5 track. hey DUKE, how come on uk version i cant sell the viper reace car  . not that i want to. its just that im allowed to sell other race cars and not that one. come to think of it, is there other cars im not allowed to sell???

You can't sell the Honda S2000 won in the Type-R meeting either. No reason - just a glitch.

The Honda S2000. Not the Spoon or Mugen S2000s.

It's a glitch in that you can't sell the cars. That's pretty much it.

I developed some settings for the Escudo for the track. The full-bore version too - all 1881hp of it.

There's a thread around here called "Can't Drive The Escudo?" with them in. Give 'em a try. Worked for me in the Rome 2hr endurance (yes, really), and I've had a lot of positive feedback on it.

Really Famine, I'd held you in such high esteem since getting onto GTPlanet, but now I find you taking an Escudo to Rome enduro? To blow away a bunch of sub-300HP Euro-carts (not counting the Griffith 500 if it happens to be there!) That's no fun at all, how many 10s of laps did you win by? No offence intended but I'd have thought you would be past that sort of thing.

Anyway, my votes for worst car go to the Diahatsu Storia X4 and the Suzuki Escudo, which is only good for getting the Test curse over & done with quickly so we can get back to real racing on real racetracks, i.e. those with more than 2 bends and (here's a novel idea) right turns!!!

None taken - I was using it so that I could enter a time in the "Suzuki specials" category at Racing-Line for that Endurance. No other reason.

hahahah youve got a point. but i done an endurance race with a full bore escudo. but i was doin it for mere fun and tryin to see by how many laps i could win by!
i laughed for sooo long.

That explains a lot.

 Godlike status restored!

I really despise the Skylines excluding the race car versions. Their weight distribution is immoderate and they could not turn that well. Skylines may have great acceleration and superb top speed, but when it comes to handling, it is the weight that can wear out the tires fast.

not entirely. it also depends on which version ur talking about. i tend to prefer my R400 the nearly every other skyline. the skyline i hate most has got to be Mine's GT-R-N1 V-spec. i know its very stable and u have to use the hand brake to spin it. but like u said its weight distribution is very immoderate. the standard R-34 however will give u god like balance during any drift.

IMO the supra handles TOO well.... also the Silvia in S15 trim breaks loose to easy with certain tires, and that's a little drift bias on that car.....
The skylines are pretty cool, and I think the Mine's car was done DAMN near to the real Mines R34....It's stuck to the ground, easy to correct etc.....

there is no "worst car"......n00bs

Do not try to be a smart ass. Every car has its pros and cons and you think that there is NO worst car? I find that remarkably preposterous. Let me interrogate you on 3 things.

1. Have you ever driven the Escudo? That pathetic excuse for a race car can almost NEVER turn in any corners. It is designed for use in the rally tracks, Super Speedway, and the ultra-monotonously boring Test Course. And this car is every n00bs favorite race car and every expert players' hated race car.

2. Ever driven a Zonda? It goes uber-fast on straightways but fails pathetically when it comes to turning. But when you play your cards right on this one, the Zonda becomes the fastest fully modded street car in the game, whooping even the RGT.

3. Have you not tried the Nismo 300GT? Many people here in this forum know that this car quickly becomes an egregious disappointment when tuned at any level. 703hp does not feel fast in that car and trying to turn in corners with this car makes matters worse. I suddenly learned the consequences when I had driven it.

So there you have it. If you call us n00bs for the worst cars, you are absolutely hurting yourself. These 3 cars are examples of what you should be avoiding. Who is the n00b now?

you're obviously the n00b.....you basically backed up what i said while also making yourself look like an a-hole. there is no specified "worst car" because every car in the game serves better in a certain field over another car. saying there is a worst car in the game is the same debate as deciding the best car of the game. n00b.

Not sure if I'd classify myself as an expert player, but I deliberately spent several hours (including the Rome 2hr Endurance) to make this thing work. And I did - and posted my settings up here for everyone. I don't hate it, but I don't often use it.

Zam the Spam - The Nissan S15 Silvia Varietta (don't confuse with the S15 Silvia SpecRAero) has no application where it is better than any other car (in fact anything else you could pick would be better), coupled with an appalling power-to-weight ratio and the worst state of tune in the game. And it drives just dreadfully. It IS the worst car in the game and anyone who's tried it agrees.

You have not tried driven any cars, have you not? I hate it when people do not give me any answers if they have driven bad cars or not. Fess up, you are the n00b.

If you have answered me that you have driven cars in GT3, whether good or not, then you would not have bothered telling me that asinine contradiction.

Well that sucks because you had a good point, but who really looks like the "a-hole" now? Remember, picking on newbs is never cool.
:indiff: ;)

But you do have a good point.

In my opinion everyone has their own worst car.

Shoot!
How do you even judge worst car?

You know, some of us might consider one of the best cars in the game to be one of the worst simply because it has one major flaw in the opinion of the judging party.

For example, the escudo.
Frankly, I feel like it sucks. Flat out.
The thing is, if you put the escudo in its element it can't be beat.
Rally or straight line runs, the escudo is a great car.
Only the handling can ruin its rating to some of us, but even then it isn't the worst.
Trust me, some of you may hate the escudo, but go race it on complex string and then try to match Famine's best time on that track with the escudo.

So yeah, some cars may suck to some of us, but since no car sucks in the opinions of every person here so we can't declare one car to be the worst.

Anyway, keep the discussion up though cause I sure liked hearing famine mention the silvia s14 (?) as the worst car. ;)

Kent, he is doing what he does over at MCForums. Picking on the new members.

If it was my choice, I would ban him from GTP and leave him at MCForums where he belongs. Buts not my choice, is it?

Escudo still reigns the worst car in GT3.
