Worst sounding car you have?

Just got the Viper SRT '06 in a shuffle race and expected it to sound beastly, but it sounded like a whiny vacuum, especially in bumper cam.

It was before an update fixed it, the sound hasn't changed much though.

I'll add the Blitz Dunlop ER34 as one of the best :drool:

dude no one cares really, i just posted my opinion, and did like this so people that ONLY look at new treads would look at this and say, hmm, lets see what this guy thinks and maybe ill post my opinion if its worth it.

It's obvious people care, other users don't want the main page spammed with already covered topics. Follow the link others have left and pot your opinions there.. Check my exhaust thread that is linked in my signature for in depth Car and Exhaust combo's.. "No one really cares" is not a good attitude to have around here.

not one muscle car sounds good or real, they butchered the SLS, the Sauber C9 is just a crying shame, and the BMW M3 and M5 sound nothing like real life, lets just say the cars in GT5 sound horrible and not real except I say the LFA, 458 Italia and Zonda R other than that sounds of cars not PDs strong point or DLC car selection only good cars to come from dlc V12 Vantage, Aventador thats about it and Golf and Sciracco R are ok
 
Well i can speak for alot of people when i say that the Cadillac CIEN Concept IS MESSED UP with stock exhausts, i mean holy SH** i refuse to drive that with stock Exhausts on. Plus the RL version of the CIEN sounds more like an ascari or saleen. not the Dyson concept 3.6.
 
Hate the sound of the go-kart. That "swarm of insects" noise really annoys me. I also don't like the sound of the Veyron. An 8l W16 should sound much more beefy than that surely. The Kubelwagen is less than glorious as well
 
The Panoz Esperante GTR sounds like a mosquito:ouch:, I hated myself for choosing it for the 24 hour Nurburgring, and quit the race to choose the X2010:sly:
 
Let's just face it head on. In the original GT-1 it said the car sounds were actual sound bites of the original cars. Since GT-1 was my first racing game some of the cars did sound really good. It seems with each evolution of Gran Turismo the car sounds just seem to get worse. It would be difficult to actually get real sounds for so many different cars. The thing I wonder is why the the V8 muscle cars sound so good when you get in them to change to some strange bumble bee sound in the race? So for me the muscle cars have the worst sounds.
With most of the muscle cars if you don't use the racing exhaust the do retain some of the true V8 rumble. Maybe if PD spent time on car sounds as they have on graphics we would have a more enjoyable true racing experience. I just wish they would make Gran Turismo a PC game so I don't have to wait so long for things to load and I am more than sure that my PC has more than enough processing power and better graphics than a PS3. If only, if only pigs will fly one day!
