You should have seen the car that hit that camaro, i wish i would have gotten a pic of it....lets just say that every form of fluid in the engine was leaking...there was smoke coming from the engine and the front end is about 12inches shorter now!

sorry i dont have a picture, but i saw a miata that had pulled in front of an expedition. The Miata was trashed. sadly... i dont think that the people in the Miata lived :(

worst wreck i saw was certainly my friend Matt's fatal accident. :(

well, i didn't witness it, i just saw the aftermath. cut in half, torn, burned, twisted... it was hard to tell it had been a Mustang.

Damn that is horrific...

I've only seen fenderbenders myself...well I was involved in a wreck worse than that one.

a late '80s Ford Econoline delivery van hit us offset at about 45 in our '89 MPV...I was sitting in the passenger seat, on our way to the bank, and we are at the light, ready to turn left onto a fairly big road. Our light turns green, we start going, and the Econoline ran the red and hit us off-set on the passenger front at about 45MPH. We did approxamately a 450 degree spin(in a MPV mind you)and ended up looking like we were turning right onto the street after spinning around. Me and my bro had seat belt bruises, and my mom had a slight neck pain. I literally saw the hood crumple right infront of me. it was strong enough to bend the front frame into the wheel and almost out the wheel well. But, through it all, from the beginning of the passneger door back was flawless. It was still running after the wreck too, my mom had to turn the MPV off. The MPV was totalled...it was fixable, but it woulda taken forever, and the frame would be weak. It was amasing...just the night before my dad did a full service on it, and it was in perfect condition then it was gone...I have no clue how it wasn't wercked more, it was stong. After the wreck, it was taken to my dad's place and sat for a couple of days(the next day after the wreck, my parents found our '92 MPV and bought it, we drove the new MPV to see the deceased MPV...it was tearful. The '89 was taken to a junkyard(but they didn't tell us which one) and we never saw it again...

And, before the wreck, my mom was thinking of driving the 323. I don't think I would be here if we took the 323 and got slammed like that...

At the yard my bro works at now, they had a White '92 MX-3 GS that was T-boned hard...hard enough that the door was pushing the drivers seat up into the roof(the roof was bent up from it) and the other seat(which was pushed into the passenger door), and the steering wheel was bent from it hitting it. I highly doubt that the driver survived in that one, the side was pushed in a good foot...it's still at the junkyard.

Also my uncle was T-boned in his '92 Protege...bent the support beam inbetween the doors in about 6 inches and it was totalled...he was OK though, and now he has a new Protege which he loves.

i love camaros!

There were no drunk drivers, the woman who hit the camaro was running a red light and just plowed into the camaro.

Just prooves that people can be retards without the aid of mind-altering substances...

I saw a dump truck smash the passsenger-side door of a purple 4th gen. v6 Camaro once. Looked like that red camaro, but the hole was a 'tad bigger.:(

That door looks like it was built really really strong...

It doesn't matter how strong the door is if it's hit by another block of rolling steel weighing over a ton (in most cases much more) at any rate of speed greater than five miles per hour.

That really sucks for them...I hope the passenger was OK. :nervous:

Honestly, I have seen more carnage in one year of traveling on the turnpike than the rest of my life. It's almost enough to make me drive like a grandmother for the rest of my life.

risingson....there wasnt a passenger just the driver in all 3 cars, thank god.

the Maine turnpike? or just other turnpikes?

just wondering, Maine doesnt seem like a place with a carnage riddled turnpike:D

You'd be surprised...although the overall traffic density is far lower than, say, Massachusetts (there really should be a sign upon entering Mass. on a highway that says TIME TO WAKE UP MUTHAF*KKA :p ) the long stretches of nothing can lull you into a false sense of security.

And then there's deer and moose....

Worst wreck I ever saw I walked away from. Yep, it involved me and my Subaru, which was half as wide as it used to be after I was done. If you want a more detailed explanation search for posts involving "wreck", "cement" and "Subaru", by me, GilesGuthrie.

Worst one I've ever seen was a collision between a Teurus and an Escort...T-boned, escort wrapped around a light pole. Ouch..Coming right off the highway, too.

Hey all - I'd like to make a note that the grey car behind the Camaro is none other than a Honda Civic, reinforcing my Honda drivers suck stereotype, though today I saw a Kia Sportage blast through a red light about fifteen seconds after it changed.

Oh, the worst wreck I ever witnessed was the one I did a few months ago on my birthday where I destroyed the truck on a tree.

Though, the worst non-me wreck I ever saw was some loser in a Maxima (the square version) attempting to make a right turn, losing control, hitting an oncoming car stopped at the light, and driving off (naturally, his license plate fell to the ground and he was charged that day). Losers.
