So will this be a big or important update or major update?

I ask because then it is transitioning from 1.09 to 1.1. Most software or patches would be major or something when they lose that digit at the end.

Or will they continue with 1.9.X.
They've already had about 9 patches since it was released and most were minor.

Just curious, don't comment if you don't have anything nice to say, been noticing that a lot.

1.10 will probably be a major update. Hopefully it'll have in-race saves, new seasonals and new refreshed OCD. That's it I think, maybe PD would add the 25 tracks from old gt games like what is in the news section on this website. That'd be awesome, but I doubt that will happen anytime soon.

^Hopefully it completely revamps the Seasonal Events and doesn't just extend the current ones...

Talking about seasonals I miss the ones that actually had nice rewards, like the ones that would pay 2m cr.

One can only hope. I believe the process includes in-race saves, OCD update, and new Seasonals. Maybe a small tweak but I see nothing major just yet.

Based off the major 1.03 and 1.06 updates, I don't think it's going to be consistent in terms of when major updates are going to come.

For me, that depends if a money glitch occurs. If it does, then the next update WILL be solely dedicated to that . If not so, then I believe 1.1 will be a major update.

That said, I am willing to give Polyphony until late May to get the update in before I start to complain about it.

I just don't understand why they can't do a minor update for in-race saves, so i can finally finish the enduro's. gosh!

It's been a long time since their last few updates that were useful unlike the glitch fixes.
didn't they say they'd try to release a patch every month or something.

I would think so. Kaz has already confirmed the in race saves so that'll probably be the result of the update. And of course fixing all of the other darn glitches that every 11 year old kid loves to do.

Its not even the glitches or in race saves that concern me.
The things that make we want to rip my GT5 in half is the loading times and that annoying music in the race lobbies pre race.

Why can't it load as fast as GT4.
I'm pretty sure that the ps3 is way faster than that emotion processor thing.

You know you can turn off your music -.- just go into your music folder and select what you want.

Load time?? Install it onto the hard drive and play for a few hours, (I get 30 seconds when I first start to as low as 5 seconds after I play.)

You do realize that while in a room, it doesn't play your music, right? I know it doesn't in my case.

And I believe I installed the hard drive. Guess what? Same terrible loading time.

What I mean is before you press start race or drive. That annoying song with the kids singing. And the online lobby song before entering the race.

Also online takes very long to load up and is unreliable. There's always a message saying "You have been disconnected from the server" after sometime even when it's not fixed host.

Top it up, PSN disconnects oftenly.

The speed of the PS3 in terms of processing power has nothing to do with the load times. Load times are a function of how long it takes to read the data from a disc.

GT4 was loading of a DVD. GT5 is loading of a Blu-ray and whilst a Blu-ray can hold considerably more data than a DVD the drive itself spins more slowly. You also have much larger data files being loaded in GT5 than you did in GT4.

1.10 or 1.1 will be probably major as they might split the a large update into 2 smaller ones
one perhaps containing tracks and features. the other new premium cars
i hope this happens

I think PD should at least tell us what's coming up. It's taking so much time and every is so secret that there's gonna be a point where most people won't care anymore.

You know when you wait for something, for too long and when it comes up, you're not into it anymore ? I'm starting to believe that they're doing nothing right now.

To keep people interested, they should have weekly bonuses (If any of you have ever played Guild Wars), let's say, next friday, until monday morning, double money for races, week after, double xp, week after, paint chips as bonus for winning races (with the normal $ and xp of course).

So would it have been faster if they compressed it?

Hopefully matchmaking/online events and/or custom aspec events because as it stands right now, the only way for me to race a particular car on a particular track is to:

a.) cross my fingers and hope there's an aspec event or seasonal where I can ie. run a competitive race in my stock m3 around the Nur (still looking...)
b.) waste 30+ minutes loading up a bunch of lobbies in hopes the current host is still enforcing the room title.
c.) waste 30+ mintues creating my own room hoping i can convey to people what kind of race im trying to run in a <30 char title, only to have to constantly kick noobs that don't bother reading before joining.

What is the point of having amassed all these cars when all I can do is race a handful of them in the few "races" PD is drip-feeding me or go online and have to jump through hoops for 30+min just to get a proper race set up? :banghead:

For a large company like Sony and PD I don't even understand why it's taking so long.

Would it be cool of we could submit car liveries of our own and they added it to the game? Like a contest.

Only PD can know this...

Will we have sunshine on august 25th 2014??

As long as it has endurance race saves I don't need any more patches.

Have you tried the 'one make race' available in the practice mode?

I've had some crazy close battles around the 'Ring in my Motor Sport Elise! 👍
