A little survey I thought about doing that involves certain things that some people may or may not want to buy as a DLC. So to start things off. Would you pay cash if PD were to:

•Give you the right to finally see the interior of standard models instead of a dark silhoutte. But they have they packaged the DLC like this:

Standard car interiors from the 60's or below priced at $3.99

Standard car interiors from the 70's and 80's priced at $4.99

Standard car interiors from the 90's priced at $5.99

Standard car interiors from 2000 to 2010 priced at $5.99

Complete Standard car package priced at $20

• Gives you the DLC that brings back the 3 Lap battles

• Gives you the DLC that brings back 1 lap magic races.

• Gives you the DLC that adds more locations for Photo Travel.

• Gives you the DLC that allows you to changes sponsers on your racing modification cars instead of the usual Gran Turismo logo.

• Gives you the DLC that can add more main menu videos.

• Gives you a DLC that lets you change the appearences of certain HUD tools. (Speedometer, that little turbo meter that you see next to that speedometer, etc.)

• Gives you the DLC of old songs from previous Gran Turismo games.

Which of these things on this list would you consider paying for if these things were to one day show up at your Playstation Store?

no this should have been in game since luanch. the cockpit view i mean.

I could at least see the logic of making standard car interiors optional DLC as opposed to being part of a mandatory patch. That's going to take up quite a few gigabytes on the HDD.

I don't want PD to have to worry about all that; making detailed interiors for 1000+ cars would be a very daunting and time consuming task. I'd rather they focus their attention and talents on GT6 :).

There would be a riot if PD charged money to customize the HUD. A riot.

Ditto if they charged money to add the equivalent of the GT4 Driving Missions to the game in A-Spec, because that is all the Seasonal Events have been so far anyways.

All the things you mentioned are things that can be updated tru patches or seasonal, wich we currently have for FREE

No, I don't think I'll pay to get standard interior cars, I'd rather spend my money on having Premium cars, or new tracks.

Even the racing mod bit I mentioned?

And about the standard interiors, its more of a hypothetical question. Supposed one day PD actually went through all that trouble and did add all of the interiors, but added a price tag, would you still buy it anyway?

No to all above, I'm not interested in seeing half-arsed standard car interiors and certainly wouldn't pay for them.

• Gives you the DLC that brings back the 3 Lap battles

Not really, this sort of stuff could be implemented so easily in an update, PD do seasonal events every week which just shows how easy it is for them to make events. Not worth paying for.

• Gives you the DLC that brings back 1 lap magic races.

See previous answer.

• Gives you the DLC that adds more locations for Photo Travel.

Yes, if it was a reasonable amount for a reasonable price I'd buy them.

• Gives you the DLC that allows you to changes sponsers on your racing modification cars instead of the usual Gran Turismo logo.

No, that's stuff that should be added in an update.

• Gives you the DLC that can add more main menu videos.

No

• Gives you a DLC that lets you change the appearences of certain HUD tools. (Speedometer, that little turbo meter that you see next to that speedometer, etc.)

No, again that's simple update stuff and not worth paying for

• Gives you the DLC of old songs from previous Gran Turismo games.

If it included all licenced songs, yes.

Yup, all licensed songs. Should of clairified that earlier. Me personally, would only pay for 2 things on the list, But I've heard A LOT of crazy demands from other people. The interior bit was based off a demand my friend made. Gonna show him this thread and see his reaction.

None of that is worth the money, IMO.

None.

I was also considering buying the newly released DLC, but now I'm not so sure.
For $20 I don't really see that I'm getting that much more content that I'd use.

None.

Is it that bad? I'm hearing so many rumors about it.

Would anyone find it worth it if PD offered the "GT Remix" pack? For $19.99? (Any price?)

This would be taking 20-30 Race series/Endurances from prior GT editions and would include additional updated tracks from prior editions. These would both be added on to A-spec and B-spec with trophies for completion. Prize cars could simply be additional cars updated from past corresponding editions. A few examples:

-Reload of SS Route 11 (GT3 version) featuring a 60 lap endurance race.
-Reload of Test Track(GT3), featuring the "old" Like The Wind 30 lap endurance race. This also allows for proper drag races and 400/1000m tests.
-Reload of US vs UK, US vs Japan, Japan vs. UK championships(GT1); but tweaked to be European instead of just UK.
-Reboot of the "Normal Car" championship(GT1); but with the difficult level of the Expert Seasonal event.
-Trial Mountain 2 hour "Normal Car" event.
-78 lap event at Cote d'Azure with Ferrari F1 opponents.

Sounds very tempting, but $20 seems a bit high for me. But it would be great if I was bored after completing all the races. But then again, these things can also serve as a Seaonal event instead.

You should make a poll about it.

no

Naah, not interested in any of that, just interested in more tracks really, ideally, I'd like an event creator, I may pay for that

Standard car interiors from the 60's or below priced at $3.99

No

Standard car interiors from the 70's and 80's priced at $4.99

Maybe

Standard car interiors from the 90's priced at $5.99

No

Standard car interiors from 2000 to 2010 priced at $5.99

If it's cheaper

Complete Standard car package priced at $20

HELL NO

• Gives you the DLC that brings back the 3 Lap battles

No thanks

• Gives you the DLC that brings back 1 lap magic races.

No thanks

• Gives you the DLC that adds more locations for Photo Travel.

No thanks

• Gives you the DLC that allows you to changes sponsers on your racing modification cars instead of the usual Gran Turismo logo.

Just livery editor for all cars

• Gives you the DLC that can add more main menu videos.

Like you even want that

• Gives you a DLC that lets you change the appearences of certain HUD tools. (Speedometer, that little turbo meter that you see next to that speedometer, etc.)

Yeah i don't think i would buy that

• Gives you the DLC of old songs from previous Gran Turismo games.

Or this, as i already downloaded that.

Which of these things on this list would you consider paying for if these things were to one day show up at your Playstation Store?

None, actually.

I will only pay for more cars and tracks. Or other stuff if they are free in the complete pack like now :)

btw who would pay for songs. You can download every song you want and put it in the game.

i would pay only for completely NEW car, i expect they will upgrade some cars to premium for free, so i wouldn't pay for only the interior view

I'd pay for the Test Track events (which for some senseless reason still aren't part of GT5).

These are impractical. There will never be detailed standard car interiors because they are too time consuming. Whilst they look nice, they are a poor use of development time in my opinion. They spent all this time modeling the interiors which you only see about a third of the car, and you have to glitch inside the car in photo mode in order to fully see the car interior. If the game had an auto-vista-like environment then I could see some point in the detailed interiors.

• Gives you the DLC that brings back the 3 Lap battles

• Gives you the DLC that brings back 1 lap magic races.

• Gives you the DLC that adds more locations for Photo Travel.

Would be nice, but I'd also like more options in normal photo mode. More filters and a transparency sliders for the filter so that it isn't just 'on' or 'off'. Sliders to adjust colour levels and brightness, contrast etc.

• Gives you the DLC that allows you to changes sponsers on your racing modification cars instead of the usual Gran Turismo logo.

Trivial really.

• Gives you the DLC that can add more main menu videos.

• Gives you a DLC that lets you change the appearences of certain HUD tools. (Speedometer, that little turbo meter that you see next to that speedometer, etc.)

The only thing I want is the ability to to everything but the dials off. Seemingly this is too difficult.

• Gives you the DLC of old songs from previous Gran Turismo games.

Should just be in GT-TV anyway

Which of these things on this list would you consider paying for if these things were to one day show up at your Playstation Store?

Amusingly on the car interiors, I was playing a shuffle race online yesterday from cockpit view and I was a lap and a half around the track before I realised that I was in a standard car instead of a premium.

Where's the choice for:

- DLC that allows you to actually RACE against an even field of fast non-parking AI cars, difficulty adjustable, after qualfying if desired, while selecting your opponents in Arcade Mode, using full realism options in A-Spec/Seasonals and with the option to fill out a thin field with said fast AI cars online.

?

I'd buy that for a dollar.

i would pay ...

$10.00 - replay to avi video converter.
$15,00 - for all tracks in GT4, updated to current standards.
$25.00 - for 2010/2011 WRC rally tracks, at least 6 locations, 36 stages
$5.00 - proper drag racing.
$20.00 - skin creator, where you can export current car skin to gif/jpeg modify it with photoshop then import it with options for the finish, eg. matt, gloss etc. Something like this ...
