Would you consider paying for these features?

Won't pay a single cent for any of your mentioned options.

I wouldn't even pay for new cars unless they really bring new stuff which gives a even wider variety in handling (e.g. see thread about including old F1 cars). Otherwise the scope allready covered with 1000 cars is quite complete for me.

What I'm looking for is an extension of gameplay (new events, new tracks, ...) instead of cosmetics.

I wouldn't pay for stuff that should have been in the game at release, On the otherhand I would consider paying for a livery creator if it was implemented properly.

I would pay for a proper wheel shop with loads of wheel choice like in gt3, I don't use the interior view very much and don't have music on when driving but livery editor would be fantastic.

I wouldn't pay a cent for anything listed above either.

All that I care about paying for would be new car and track packs. I planing on getting entire DLC package on Tuesday but I could really care less about paying for the paint and race gear packs if that was all we were getting.

I would even consider buying a standard to premium car pack if it included enough quality cars, that is, car's that I would want to use and race.

A little survey I thought about doing that involves certain things that some people may or may not want to buy as a DLC. So to start things off. Would you pay cash if PD were to:

•Give you the right to finally see the interior of standard models instead of a dark silhoutte. But they have they packaged the DLC like this:

Standard car interiors from the 60's or below priced at $3.99
Oh yes!

Standard car interiors from 2000 to 2010 priced at $5.99
I'd buy this only for the 2010 Jaguar Whateveritsnameisagain.

• Gives you the DLC that allows you to changes sponsers on your racing modification cars instead of the usual Gran Turismo logo.
Yes. Although a full livery editor would be better.

Actually, about the interiors. I would only pay if they were complete upgrades to premium cars. Only interors aren't worth much.

• Give you the DLC of old songs from previous Gran Turismo games.
This is the only thing on the list I'd pay for, and I've been meaning to bring up this very thing, but have been too anxious to keep racing.

Why would you want to buy old songs when you can create a custom sound track???

Naah, not interested in any of that, just interested in more tracks really, ideally, I'd like an event creator, I may pay for that

^^^ What he said. I'd be way more interested in more tracks, maybe great tracks from previous games or real world tracks. I'd most likely pay for that

I'd pay for it all, I have too much cash and need stuff to dump it on..

Instead of giving the standard car a interior view might as well not give it but model the looks of the standard car with more details like the premium cars

Would anyone find it worth it if PD offered the "GT Remix" pack? For $19.99? (Any price?)

This would be taking 20-30 Race series/Endurances from prior GT editions and would include additional updated tracks from prior editions. These would both be added on to A-spec and B-spec with trophies for completion. Prize cars could simply be additional cars updated from past corresponding editions. A few examples:

-Reload of SS Route 11 (GT3 version) featuring a 60 lap endurance race.
-Reload of Test Track(GT3), featuring the "old" Like The Wind 30 lap endurance race. This also allows for proper drag races and 400/1000m tests.
-Reload of US vs UK, US vs Japan, Japan vs. UK championships(GT1); but tweaked to be European instead of just UK.
-Reboot of the "Normal Car" championship(GT1); but with the difficult level of the Expert Seasonal event.
-Trial Mountain 2 hour "Normal Car" event.
-78 lap event at Cote d'Azure with Ferrari F1 opponents.

no kaz said before launch the all the tracks and cars for all versions of gt would be in gt 5, so no i wont pay for something that was promised to be in the game

6-8 months before launch, maybe a year before

^^ Links sir.

I wouldnt pay for any of that.
Maybe 99 cent for " • Gives you the DLC that adds more locations for Photo Travel.""

Have expectations been that low that now we are "willing" to pay for stuff that already should be present? I don't even like how the TC starts off with: "Give you the right...."

Really the "right"? DLC for number of laps? Wow, NO to all.

PSN Exclusive: "Download now to customize tracks for more than 2 laps!!!"

there is one of them, it said they was 35 and 60 locations from gt 4

That line was referring to the track list for GTPSP, not GT5.

We briefly played a Japanese version of GT Mobile, and among its 35 tracks (60 variations), you'll find the Nurburgring Nordschleife and Laguna Seca -- and, we're told, all the other tracks from GT4.

GT5 isn't mentioned anywhere. The fact that that interview was inaccurate (because GTPSP didn't have all of the GT4 tracks) is a moot point; and that still doesn't support your claim that all tracks and cars from past GT games were promised to be in GT5.

sorry my bad it's hard to find the link sue to the original interview and link is no longer on playstation's site. but its no big deal if you dont believe me, i dont lie

I wouldn't pay for any of that. Things I would pay for:

-A completely revised and overhauled upgrade system. They can keep the package upgrades, but people who know what they're doing should be able to get a larger advantage from selecting individual parts and building properly. Also fix contradicting package upgrades like a high compression engine paired with a high-boost FI system. There are also many suspension/chassis kits that drastically reduce vehicle weight, and adding parts like turbo/supercharger should increase weight.

-Aerodynamic building should be available. Obviously you an bolt on a splitter and canards to pretty much any front bumper, but what about being able to select from high downforce, low drag, or higher power (ram air/superior cooling) options? What I'm getting at is you should be able to build the body of the car appropriate for its use, or mix and match for varied racing. More expensive=better performance in each category, lighter/more rigid materials, and adjustable like suspension packages.

-A livery system should be considered. Download the program and car templates from the GT website, work your magic on the computer, save it to a thumb drive, then upload it to the game. It wouldn't take up any more memory than a paint chip.

I'm sure a lot of people could come up with a much better list of things to be paying for, many of what you say are things that a lot of people would expect from free updates.

Those are all very weaksauce things to charge users, where they could be patched instead over updates.
