Would you like PD to defect from Sony and go multiplat with extra emphasis on PC?

I'm just guessing that the custom race tracks would be insane. And if they were to stop competing with Turn10, I'd like to see a big collaboration. Especially with other devs.

Or do you think PD is better off where they're at?

Please note that this isn't a bash towards PD. Just wondering where you think they'd be best at. You think once devs go multiplat, their freedom gives them a wider range of things to do, or it messes them up and lands them with no direction?

A: Stay as they are?

B: Go with Microsoft(XBox Live can really open a lot of possibilities)?

C: Go with PC?

D: Stand alone and make it for everyone?

E: Make Mario Kart GT for Nintendo :dopey:
 
I think it would be better if hired more people and made new games every 1-2 years.

I don't think going multiple platform would be worth it at this time. Plus I'm sure they have an interesting contract with sony.
 
A. It took 5 years for a game to come out on one platform, and you want the next one which will be bigger to be on 3 platforms?
 
Who'd want to play it o a pc?? As far as im concerned a computer is for computer stuff & ps3/ any games cosole is for gaming, in a comfy chair with a 42" screen & a fridge full of cold beers, till 3am & up at 6 to go to work

PC is the grandfather of gaming. Only flaw is that its expensive to keep up to date. But custom race tracks would be amazing. Say goodbye to the random track generator.
 
Going multiplat would only hinder further the development work

They should stay exclusive to have knowledge of only one plat and master it

A. Multi-platforming will only have a negative impact on the quality and performance of the game, with different software capable of different things...
 
Forget it taking longer because its multi platform. Letting Kaz develop for the PC would be horrible, the game would take 10 years to make and when it came out you would need to spend 10grand to get a computer that would run it at middle settings. Id rather play Ridge Racer at that point.
 
if its on PC it would be epic, we can also mod and create events instead of waiting for PD to do it. There will be enough memory for nice shadows as well.

... PC hardware dominates the capabilities of the PS3.
computer monitors are now available at a resolution of 3840x2400 (twice that of 1080p)

finally... don't place a fridge within arms reach of your gaming setup, lest ye want to become a fatass
 
I don't want to have to buy a gaming rig just to play GT5.

I've got a nice setup with the PS3, my 50" HDTV and surround sound setup.

Besides, there's no guarantee GT5 on a PC would be open for modding. What if they distribute it with Steam and lock the content down that way? The GTP forums would implode with people complaining about it.

PC also depends on your operating system, graphics card, etc. Especially complicated and can you imagine the install size?
 
If they go multi-platform, one of the consoles, and the PC won't be fully utilised. Unless they make different versions, which will take 5 years longer!
Collaboration with Turn 10? That will never happen, and I'm sure that most Forza and GT5 fans wouldn't want that. Also, PD are perfectionists... Turn 10... eh.

Oh, and there's no way that Sony would let PD go.

Stay as they are.

Well a PC packs far more punch than a PS£ but on the other point of beers and up til 3 then work at 6. Deffo!
 
GT5 on PC would be epic.
If PD actually had decent hardware to run the game on, I can imagine it being almost flawless.
 
I think the rights to the GT franchise should be gifted to a company who can actually release a game worthy of the series title.

Or when GT6 comes out we can all repeat the same complaints made about this version. PD blows.

Are you kidding me? Console is the grandfather of gaming.

PC in its current form was never possible to game on to any kind of specification as a console system until well into the 80s.


On the topic:

If GT5 goes multiplat it would serve as the rest of the reason that hurts console gaming. Exclusivity is the live and die for console gaming, and in recent years its caused far more harm then good. This same mentality (Release everything, faster, everywhere) constituted in one videogame economic crash. It would be best to avoid that.
 
I'm going to say no, even though I would love them to have the same resources a pc dev has I think being an exclusive is what makes it what it is.

GT5 is likely to be a 10m copy selling game. Not only that but it's also a console selling game. To achieve that takes a massive level of quality, far more than a multi-plat game that sells a similar amount.
 
I'd like to see it on Xbox for live, so i won't get booted offline so much. And this game can be made for the Xbox, it'll just come on 6 discs!
