Would you rather?

It's not that I don't like the Lexus, it's just that people who would choose it over a DB9 quite obviously have serious issues.

If you think the luxury of a jumped-up sales-rep's car is going to even approach that of a proper GT, then you are sadly mistaken. Oh and since when is 186mph the same as 155?

Right...do you have a newsletter I can subscribe to?

You need to back off, dude. If you can't handle other people's difference in opinion, then this forum is not an ideal place for you.

Maybach Landaulet vs Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport- Veyron cause I would rather have a sports car I could drive then a car to be chauffeured in.

This, the Maybach is a car to be driven in .not drive. And the Veyron is a luxury supercar, and can coast at 200mph without feeling like is going to rattle apart. Beautiful interior too.

Maybach Landaulet vs Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Anything but the hideous pile of 🤬 that is the Maybach. So the Veyron. And 250mph+...

Maybach, get a driver and get the girls in the back sea.....couch, seat doesn't describe it. Get into exclusive clubs and parties by being dropped off in it, door man won't even check the list. Look down at people that think they are wealthy and better than others.

the veyron is cool but there isn't really anywhere to stretch its legs and if you did get stupid and police were involved, yeah you could outrun them but how many veyrons are in the area?

The Maybach. I didn't like the Veyron when it came out and I don't like it now. I think it's a pointless, overrated car and it started this speed war which I think is even stupider than the Ring time war. Plus if I was rich enough to own either vehicle is sure as hell wouldn't want to drive, I'd want to be driven, preferably by a man named Jeeves. I'll take comfort over speed any day.

I already know I have serious issues. You don't need to remind me!

Audi R10 vs. Red Bull RB8 - Both of those would be daily drivers from hell... I'll stick to my Mondeo, thanks. :sly:

Maybach Landaulet vs. Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport - I've never ever liked the Veyron, and I doubt I ever will. I'm not a fan of the Maybach either, but I'd go with that if I had to.

@peter_vod69

Actually; no, no I don't. :sly:

It's all a matter of opinion. If you don't like someone's opinion, at least try and respect that everyone doesn't think the same or actually have a fair argument instead of mocking them.

Stop taking yourselves and your precious opinions so seriously! It's only a forum.

This guy gets it! ^^^

I chose the IS-F over the DB9 but now thinking about I would choose the DB9 then sell it and buy two IS-F, one for the streets and one for the track and still have money left over to put some racing performance parts for the one track

Why would you track an ISF? It goes against the purpose of the thing in the first place. Besides, there are about a thousand other cars that would deliver much better results on the track (and be much more satisfying) for a lot less money than a fat, automatic Lexus saloon!

(NB: I wouldn't track a DB9 either)

We need to get a new set of cars up, but I'm gonna say this. If someone asked you what kind of car you drove, would you rather be able to say, "eerrrrr, I drive a Lexus" or "I drive an Aston-Martin!"?

Veyron vs Laundaulet- No...no...not the Veyron...no. THE MAYBACH!!!!!!!!!!

I fail to see how either is stupid.. But hey.

Veyron, Old Dart

Peole who actually habe fun driving shouldn't car about badges. When asked that (if I had a Lexus) I would expect a real driver to ask which one. Badge snobs are just that, snobs.

There are only a few places on the planet the Veyron can use its speed to its full potential, other than that it's just an overweight car that looks eerily similar to a cockroach. Sure, VW did something cool by making the world's fastest production vehicle, but after that I really loose any interest in it. If I had the money to buy an ultra expensive car there is no way I'd ever consider a Veyron, the Maybach on the other hand I could probably justify.

====

Old Dart vs. New Dart, I'll have the new Dart because it isn't ancient technology and is a reincarnation of the Neon. Plus I do not really like muscle cars at all, would never want one, whereas the new Dart I could easily see myself buying at some point.

God, the ES "Glorified Camry" 350s pretty much defines Badge snobiness. At least have the decency to get a RWD Lexus.

Dodge Dart vs Dodge Dart: The new one because it'll most likely be more reliable and much safer, if I wanted a muscle car I'd get something like a Trans-Am. Plus, if I could get the R/T version then it would be all that much better. :) Oh and it looks better. IMO.

The new Dart. It actually looks like a pretty cool little car, and it would be much more practical.

I like to think of the Veyron's top speed as a side-effect of the scale of the engineering that Volkswagen put into the thing. Yes, the ultimate goal of the team was to make a car that can exceed 400kph, but you can easily do that with something like the SSC Ultimate Aero, where you take a light tub, put a great socking V8 into it, and mess around with the aerodynamics. What Volkswagen pulled off is, in my opinion, like a hypercar version of the Phaeton. Incredibly over-engineered, a general feel of the highest possible German quality and luxury, but again with that small side-effect of being ridiculously quick. It's usable on any road and is incredibly easy to drive no matter what pace you're setting off at.

There are cars that I would easily take over a Veyron but a Maybach is not one of them.

Also I would take the old Dart, because to hell with practicality, that's what I've got my Accord for. Not to mention it isn't a small FWD sedan based on an Alfa Giulietta that's taken steroids.

Audi R18 vs. RBR: Tough choice, but I'll go with the R18. LeMans built for the road.

Bugatti Veryon vs. Maybach: I'll take the Veryon, even though it's a overrated car.

But if anyone said the SSC Aero, TVR Speed 12 or even a Skyline GTR R34 or a Viper GTS. I'll take those either one out of the four cars instead of the Veryon. Because the first two are all about speed and are lighter than a heavy VW supercar, and the other two I can build the RB or the 8L V10 into a Veryon killer and still have money left.

Old Dart vs. New Dart: Old school all the way, espically if it's the RT '69-'70 Demon with a 426ci painted in black and red. ;)

I do agree the early ES line up were just slightly different looking Camrys. Then the Camry interior went down hill a bit, and the ES stood out a bit. They should have at least made the ES from the late 90s come with the TRD Supercharger as stock. I was really confused on why Toyota carried tape players for so long but oh well. If you have a fun car, no mater what the badge, or model is, you have a fun car.

have you seen the people rigging up the R154 (or something like that) trans to the LS400. Now that would be a fun Lexus!

We actually did that one on page three.

To which my reply was:
I'll take the new Dart. The old one would be cool to have. But I seriously doubt I could afford the gas. Though, if I could choose, I wouldn't have the new Dart either. Purely because of the badge. To me, Dodge stands for mediocrity. But that is just pure bias on my part. It may very well be a fantastic little car.
Do l really have to say? Old Dart of course.
