Here's one an

2014 Chevy SS

Or an 2014 Chevy Camaro Z28

Weren't those just used in a comparison?

Still Impala. They obviously don't compete with each other. They are both Chevy's...

Edit: It magically changed. Chevrolet SS now.

They still don't compete very well.

Impala. Like I mentioned before, the Malibu is awful.

EDIT: What? it changed? Camaro, I guess.

'69/'70 Dart VS '13 Dart

I find the new Dodge Dart to be a bit of a disappointment. It's not necessarily a bad car, but it didn't quite live up to all the hype. When compared to its rivals, it just comes off as overweight and ungainly in comparison. The old Dart's not a bad looking car, and if I can stomach the gas bill, it wouldn't be a bad weekend car.

911 GT3 VS SL63

I'm one of the people (of about four, I counted) that actually like the new SL. The headlights are a little odd, but the whole car looks bold and in your face. The interior's a big improvement over the boring cockpit the old one used. It's ludicrously fast and makes a great sound. The 911's starting to become boring to me with the infinite variations that each new generation spawns. If it were a Turbo or a regular Carrera I'd take it, but here I'd rather have the Mercedes.

Carrera 2.7 VS Carrera 2

Always had a thing for the 993 911, very sublime car to look at. I'll take that one.

Sky VS Solstice

The Solstice is not only fugly on the outside, but looks cheap and bland inside as well. The Sky's a much crisper, nicer looking car, and its interior is more traditional and mature. I'll take the Saturn.

MX-6 VS Prelude

I don't think I've seen a single Mazda MX-6 in my life. All I know about it is that it has four and six cylinder engines and that it shares some DNA with the Ford Probe, and that's only because I read the next few posts that came after it. Its low beltline, jelly bean esque shape looks a bit dated outside, and the interior is just bland. The Honda's not as interesting as far as the exterior goes, but it's aged better, and the interior is a much, much better place to sit. I'll take the Prelude.

Corvette VS 360

I'm a big fan of the newest Corvette, but that 360 is one sharp looking car in the silver with black wheels combo, even thirteen years later. It won't be as practical as the Corvette, but it'll be a bit more exciting to drive, and it's mid engined, which is always neat.

F-Type VS E550

Well this isn't fair at all. As much as I like the E-Class Coupe, even with that truckish interior it's got, it just doesn't stack up to an exciting V8 Jaguar that costs $40k more. The F-Type's a really nice car, the first Jaguar I've liked in a while, and the interior is one f the best designs I've seen recently. Its V8 sounds a bit weird, but I'm sure the aftermarket could remedy that. So I'll take the Jaguar.

E63 VS M5 VS CTS-V VS RS4

Well crap. I'm not a big fan of any of these. The RS4's out because it's indistinguishable from a base A4, an RS6, or an A8 Hybrid. The M5's out because the newest one's a bit of a bore, and the E63's out because the interior's too damn truckish. It's too sharp outside as well. That leaves the CTS-V, which still looks nice in its age, and still has a perfectly acceptable interior. It'll sound the nicest of the bunch, and it has the highest badass factor. Not a bad deal at all.

Falcon F6 Ute VS VE Ute SS V

For a while, GM's Australian sedans were some of the most blandly styled vehicles you could find, and the interiors were just dowdy. The Ford's no stunner, but compared to the Holden it looks miles better. I'll take that.

5th Avenue VS Concorde

The 5th Avenue's a K-Car, which is reason enough to not choose it. The Concorde's newer, more modern, looks better, and has more power. It also has an interior that isn't 70s motel red, which is reason enough to choose it.

MGB VS TR4

I'm sure both of these would be a real hoot to drive on the days they worked, so you really couldn't go wrong with either. The Triumph's a bit cooler to look at, so I'll take that. Would be very happy with either one, though.

Delta VS M3 VS 190E VS Sierra VS Celica

The Delta's out because rallying heritige aside, it is one fugly car. The Sierra's out because if we're talking about Cosworth-tuned Fords, I'd rather have the Escort. The Celica's a pretty cool car, but it's just not as cool s the Merc or the Bimmer. The 190E is out because the M3 would just be a funner car to drive.

Camaro VS Mustang

Even with its porthole visibilty, the modern Camaro's a pretty cool car. Goes like hell, sounds great, and looks mean. If you can see over the dashboard, the interior's not half bad either. But the car in question here is the '14 Camaro, which appears to have been styled with inspiration taken from the 1999 Honda Prelude. Even with its disappointing, plastic fantastic interior, the Mustang's still a really nice car. It sounds just as good as the Camaro, goes just as fast, and will certainly outhandle it seeing as it weighs several hundred pounds less. It also has better visibility, which is always a plus.

Grand Torino VS Camaro

Both cars are pretty nicely styled, althought the Torino looks a bit fat. The Camaro's the smaller, sportier car and I'm sure it would outhandle the slightly ungainly Torino, so I'll take the Chevrolet.

A1 VS A45

The A1 is one of my favorite little hatchbacks. The interior's a little weird looking, but being an Audi, I'm sure it's well assembled. It also has the benefit of not being confused with an RS8, a Q7 or a base A6, which is always a plus as far as Audis go. This car has its own, distinct desgin. The A45 just doesn't interest me as much in comparison, partially because of its weird styling and its weird interior. Actually, I think that's completely why it doesn't interest me. I'll take the Audi, and then lament that I can only drive it 2500 miles a year under the show and display loophole.

FR-S VS 911 VS 944

This is an interesting one. The FR-S is a real winner, but it just wouldn't stack up against the prospect of owning a classic 911. The 944's a real looker too, but the 911 would be my choice pick. It's less refined, noisier, and more uncomfortable than the FR-S, things I normally want to avoid in a car, but here it's forgiveable. As an extra car, it'd be a joy to use as a weekend cruiser.

Sandman VS Panel Van

What the hell are those things? Even though the Falcon is clearly the nicer looking car of the two, you just can't pass up the opportunity to own a car called the Sandman.

Z4 VS A5

Although I confused the A5 with an RS7 for a second, it's a pretty nice design and it's one of a very small group of coupe-based convertibles that aren't completely inferior to their coupe counterpart. That said, the Bimmer would most certainly be the funner car to drive. Couple that with a more interesting interior, a sleek exterior and a true rear wheel drive platform and you've got yourself a winner. If only it weighed less...

535d VS 3.0D S VS CLS350 CDI

From the side, the 535d doesn't look too bad for a wagon. Unfortunately, it suffers from an ugly front end, and an awful rear end. I'd rather have a comparable X5 with a slight lift that I would never take offroad. Jaguar just can't get the headlights right on the XF. The first iteration had that weird blob, and now the facelift looks pinched in and weird. The rear's pretty odd looking too, so it's out. The CLS Shooting Brake, despite the Jalopnik V8 rear wheel drive manual wagon hype, isn't a bad looking car at all. In fact, I'd consider owning one, which is huge. Sure the interior has the truckish look to it, but it's not as bad as the E-Class it was taken out of. I'll happily take the CLS.

Malibu VS Fusion

There's something about the facelifted Malibu that just looks...nice. It hasn't fell prey to the four door coupe fad, which means that it's a very handsome, traditionally styled sedan. The Fusion's a nice looking car too, though I'm not a big fan of the interior. However, it's tolerable, and it's better than the Malibu's interior, so I'll take the Ford.

Cruze VS Sonic

The Chevrolet Sonic is one of my favorite subcompact cars. The Cruze is a nice car too, but there are other compacts I'd rather have first. The Sonic is one of my favorites in the class as far as exterior styling goes, and the interior is surprisingly high quality and looks good to boot. I'll take the Sonic.

GS350 VS S60 VS Senator VS XFR

I'll happily take the GS, but I think I'm biased. :dopey:

'14 Chevrolet SS vs. '14 Chevrolet Camaro Z28

I'd rather have the Z28

Nissan R90CP vs. Sauber-Mercedes C291 - Sauber, it looks better, although I obviously don't know how it performs....

The Nissan.

Even though the Sauber looks more insane, the Nissan has nicer lines.

And am I the only one who is getting annoyed at people choosing both cars?

Or

2014 Chevy Camaro Z28
^ Even if the Camaro has a 6M/T, it doesn't justify my want factor. I'm a Commodore fan, so the SS it is!

It's like comparing a Ford Fusion with a Ford Taurus...
^ The Fusion is a Global car, so it will be always better than the SUV-sedan. :indiff:

Dataun 240Z S130 vs. Nissan 300ZX Z32: Ugh, tough one here........ I'll take BOTH!!! :D
Nissan GTR CBAR35 vs. Ferrari 512: Ugh, another one?! Ummm.... Give me both! :D
FR-S vs. 330i vs. M3: I don't care for the 330i, but it's a tight choice between two of the best companies that still work on inline engines........ I'll take both FRS and M3, because M and 86! :D
SRT GTS vs. Nissan GTR: Ugh, tough choice...... I'll take them both! :D
Audi TT vs. Porsche Cayman: Tough choice, I'll take them both. ;)
You guys are lucky that I didn't add a 993 911 GT2 or a M3 in this. :sly:

I'll take both cars. Can't go wrong with RR design and flat 6. :D
F1 vs. 599 GTO: Hmmm... Tough, but I'll take BOTH. If not F1 all the way, because race car for the roads, ultimate driver's car and childhood car. :D

I'll take both. :D
I'll take the Porsche and the BMW.
Give me the Agera R and "the Ferrari"!! :D
FIA GT3 Spec Cars: Ugh, tough choice here. Hmmm.... If I was rolling in the money, I'll get them all and test them out between my top drivers and see what they prefer.

But it's between the GTR GT3 Nismo and the GT3 R 911, since I'm a Porsche and Nissan fan.

Go Nissan and Porsche!!!
Passat vs. Fusion: I have heard good things about the cars, I'll take both though.

Volvo 850R vs. M3 E36: Tough choice here, I like them both....... I'll take them both. :D
TT vs. RCZ vs. Scirocco vs. GT86: Easy as cake, I'll take the 86 and the Scirocco, because RWD and AE86's descendent and Scirocco's descendant and a cool Hot Hatch from VW.

Even though I like the TT and the RCZ is ugly :yuck:. It's Toyota and VW all the way for me! :D
Supra vs. Silvia S15: Ummmm..... I'll take both, because 2JZ and SR20DET. :D
CRX Si vs. CR-Z: Tough choice here. The classic pocket rocket or the golden child of hybrid tuning, hmmmmm...... Heck give me both cars. And include a K24Z engine, Hondata or a HKS ECU system and a supercharger for the CRX. 👍

Shelby Daytona Coupe vs. Cobra SC 427: Ugh, this one a hair puller here! Heck, I'll take them BOTH :D!
VW Golf R Mk6 vs. Mazda 3 MS3: Tough one here, ummmm.... I'll take BOTH! Because Sport Compacts or Hot Hatches. 👍

BMW 850ci vs. Infiniti G37: Hmmmm.... They are good cars and are completely versatile. Ugh, I'll take both... G37 for daily driving and for the track/weekends and the BMW for only the weekends and even once in a while, a car perfect for that business meeting or proposal and for pop up lights. 👍

FR-S vs. S2000 vs. RX-8 R3: Tough one here again! Just give me them all here. Because RWD, high revving, lightweight, and rotary engine. :D

Alpina E28 vs. 2002: Toughie here, oh heck, give me BOTH Bimmers! :D

E39 M5 vs. E60 M5: This one is pulling my hairs out, I'll take them both. But I'll get the E39 some aftermarket parts first, and sitting on some HRE 549s.

Why? Because ///M, Alpina, AC-Scinzer and HRE. ;)
GTR R35 with AMS mods vs. 911 Turbo 997 with AMS mods vs. 991 Turbo: Ugh, tough one here, but I'll take BOTH the R35 and the 997 with AMS mods!

Now, I need a modified ZR1 or a ACR for the R35 and 997 T. :mischievous:👍
BAC vs. Lotus Eleven vs. KTM vs. Atom 500: Tough one here, the BAC I don't like it at all, looks ugly to me. Give me the other three and a 2.4L K24 with Turbo for the KTM and the V8 LSx engine for the Atom, with a supercharger. ;)

F430 Spyder vs. R8 GT Spyder: Tough one, heck, I'll take both cars! :)

My answer is simple...... All three, because Nismo, Mopar and GT3 997. ;)
Luxury Cars: Hmmmm..... I'll take the XF and the A6.

V8 Vantage vs. Z06 Z06 aka "mini ZR1" vs. 991 Carerra S vs. C6 ZR1 vs. Audi R8 4.2L vs. Viper GTS VX: Ugh, you guys must be getting me back from my recent choice :lol:.

Well, I don't like the V8 Vantage that much, so he's off the list. Even though the power isn't there, but the 991's handling and power to weight ratio is impressive and can keep up with the powerhouses on a track with a expert driver... I'll take the Carerra and modify it into a modern Yellowbird. :mischievous:👍

Next I'll take the Baby ZR1, the Z07 Z06, even with the ZR1, this will be my daily Vette and can trick people to believe it's a real ZR1.

Then I'll take the R8 FSI and twin turbo it and get a stroker kit to push it to a 4.5L FSI.

Then I'll take the last two instantly. The ZR1 and GTS, make the Viper blue and white stripes with a TT setup. :mischievous:👍

TC vs. Volester: Tough choice here. I'll go for both cars and TRD the TC with a supercharger and TT and even do a AWD conversion with the Hyundai. ;)
Audi S6 vs. Lexus IS-F: Ugh, toughie eh? Ummmm.... I'll take them BOTH! :D

Audi for daily and fitted with light mods and the IS will be either a supercharged or TT system, a advanced ECU system, grippier tires and a lowered and a performance tuned suspension. Good for daily and the track. Can't go wrong ;).
Civic Type R EP3 vs. Focus RS MK1 vs. Golf R32 MkIV: Tough one here.... Heck, give me all three of them and some mods. ;)
Lambo LP570 Superleggra vs. SRT GTS TA vs. Lexus LFA: Ugh, tough one... I'll take them all! :D
You got me here Van! Ummmm.... The Hot Hatches is a tough one, but I'll take the ST and the Volester this time. Those two are the coolest Hatches out there, next to the VW Golf GTis and R32s.

Then I'll take C209, W204 and C209 DTM. Because =AMG. :sly:👍
BMW SUVs vs. Mini Countryman: Hmmmm..... I'll take the Mini and the X5.

Dodge Durango vs. Ford Explorer Sport: Tough one here.... Since I like them both, I'll take both. :)
Hmmmm... I'll take them all, since I like them, especially the Vette and Z4. ;)

The 370Z is in a different league, but I'll take them all though. :)

Ugh, tough one here...... Heck, I'll take them all! :D

Easy, the Turbo 5 and Clio V6, because old school Euro and MR V6 NA and Turbo sport compact. ;)

Compact EV: I'll take the Leaf, 500 and the Fit. :)
Vauxhall vs. VW vs. Renault: Ugh, tough one again huh? After reading about these cars and watching some vids on them, can't just choose one. So I'll take them all! :D
Stinger 911 vs. RWB 911: Ugh, tough one! Well the Stinger reminds me of the earlier 964s and earlier 930s, but with a better build and with modern parts. The RWB gives me that feeling about driving a 930/934/935/later 964s in their race car forms and/or the 993 GT2 (which is a rarer 993) and having a modified classic 911 which go with show and go.

I'll take them both! :D
Vette ZR1 vs. Vette Z06 TT: Hmmmm, I'll go for both. ZR1 for daily and Z06 for the track. But it won't stop me from doing some upgrades to the ZR1 though.
Sport Sedans: Hmmmm..... I'll take the ATS and the 300 SRT-8 @ $48,495. Can't lose with both cars. ;)
Ford Torino 429 vs. Pontiac Trans-Am 455: Hmmm, tough choice here, but I'll take them both.

LFA vs. Gallardo vs. F430 vs. GT3 RS 4.0: Hmmmm... I'll take the GT3 RS and the LFA, because technology of the LFA and racecar for the RS 4.0. ;)
VW Passat vs. Subie Legacy vs. Mazda 6: Tough choice here..... But I'll go with the VW and Legacy.
Lancer Evolution X MR CZ vs. Lancer Evolution VI T.M.E. CP: Ummmm.... I'll take both cars easily!

Toyota Mark Tourer JZX vs. Mitsubishi Lan Evolution III CP: Ugh..... Hell, I'll take them both ;).

Audi vs. Fiat vs. Citroën vs. Vauxhall: Hmmm... I'll take the DS3 and the A1. because TP3 Race DS3 and A1 Quartto. ;)

Holden Commodore vs. Renault Mengane: Ugh! I'll have them both. The Holden pushing 550hp with a supercharger and and a twin turbo setup on the Megane RS at 400hp. Can't go wrong. ;)
Xb vs. Soul vs. Cube vs. Volester vs. CR-Z vs. Fiat 500 vs. Mini Cooper vs. VW Beetle:

Hmmmmm..... The Cube is off since the new one is down right ugly and hideous. The Xb and Soul have better looks and better performance than that junk. I like the older Cubes more.

The XB and Soul are amazing boxy cars and they have grown on me a lot ever since they came out. But if I could chose more than one these two would been mine, but there's better choices....

This Fiat Pop 500 sounds like a Barbie car, I'll gladly take the base 500, turbo version or even better... Abriath 500. ;)

Mini Cooper is a good one, but the Beetle, cR-Z and Volester is here....

CR-Z, Volester and Beetle. Ugh I can't chose between these three cars!!!.... I'll go with the Volester on this one here. Turbocharged Volester on the rocks. :)
SVT Raptor vs. SRT-10: Ugh, this one is tough... I'll take both trucks. Raptor for DD and off road action @600hp and Ram for the track @800+HP with twin turbos and better handling. :mischievous:👍

Supra Mk4 vs. RX7 FD: I'll take them both, hands down! And hello 2JZ @1000hp with T51 and 4-rotor R26B TT @650hp. ;)
Tesla S vs. A7 Quattro vs. BMW Gran Coupe: I'm stuck between the Audi and The Tesla. But I'll take them both!
E34 5 Series vs. C4 A6 vs. Benz W124 E vs. Legend vs. GS300 aka Astro: Ugh, well I'll go with the E34 and GS300, because BMW and Lexus. 👍
Evora vs. Exige vs. BRZ vs. Weismann: Ugh, tough choice here..... I'll have the BRZ and the Exige. BRZ for daily driving and track, the the Lotus for a track warrior. Can't go wrong. ;)
The CLS63 AMG and S2000 easily. Because AMG and VTEC. ;)
Compact Hot Hatches: Hmmmm.... A tough choice between the Fiesta, Fit and the Hyundai.

If the Elantra isn't the GT version, I'll pass on it. So I'll take the Fit and the Fiesta ST.
Ford Ute F6 vs. Holden Ute SS V: Ummm... I like them both, but I'll have the Holden SS.
959 vs. F40: Ugh, tough one here. These cars are some of my favorites back from the '80s. Kinda tough choosing one, so I'll take both! ;)
F7 vs. MT-900: Ugh, tough one here, I'll take them both! And gut them, but I'll raise the Falcon F7's power to be a fierce track and drag racer. ;)👍
Lancia Delta Evo II vs. BMW M3 Evo E30 vs. Benz 190E Evo II vs. Ford Sierra R500 vs. Toyota Celica GT-Four: Ugh tough choice here since I like them all........ Heck, I'll take the Delta, M3 and the 190E, because '90s cars and my some of my favorite cars. :D
Camaro Z28 vs. '14 Mustang GT: Ugh, I'll take both, since I'm a 'Stang and Camaro fan. Z28 in yellow and a 5.0 GT in blue with white stripes. Next is a supercharger for both.
Gran Torino vs. 2g Camaro: Ugh, can't decide, just give me both cars! ;)
FR-S vs. 930 911 Carrera vs. 944: Tough choice here, since all three are great cars. It's between the 911 and the FR-S for me since the FR-S is a perfect balance for a daily and a fun car while the 911 is perfect for canyon roads and/or the track on the weekends. For me I'll take both. But I would take the FR-S since it's versatile. 👍
ME-412 vs. C-X75: Ugh, two of my favorite working concepts..... I'll take them BOTH! :D
Tough one again?! Since these two are my favorite GM compacts... I'll take both.

The Aston isn't the V12 Vanquish nor the sleek DBS, so he's out. I'll have the BMW and 911 Turbo and some mods. ;)👍

Ugh, another toughie. Ummmm, I'll the the Holden Gen-F and the Polestar S60.

Hmmm... I'll take them both. SS for daily and weekend and Z28 for the track.

I'm not trying to make you feel bad, but multiple people have told you time and time again that you shouldn't choose multiple cars in a comparison. The title is Would You Rather, which implies that you need to make a decision between the cars specified. Clearly it hasn't sunk in, so perhaps a definition of the word rather would be of help to you.

rath·er
/ˈraT͟Hər/
Adverb
Used to indicate one's preference in a particular matter: "would you like some wine, or would you rather stick to sherry?".
Exclamation
Used to express emphatic affirmation, agreement, or acceptance: "“You are glad to be home, aren't you?” “Rather!”".
Synonyms
quite - pretty - somewhat - preferably

So, whenever you reply to this thread again, be sure to keep the definition of rather in your mind, and know that you need to narrow your choice down to one, and only one car. Thanks.

Ouch on Vspec right about now. I get that some of you find this annoying, but this entire thread is all about fun and messing around with hypothetical situations, not settling life-or-death arguments. Please, people, let's keep bashing at a minimum if possible. Thanks.
Anyway:

Merc Sauber vs Nissan R90 -
Sauber, it just seems so much more insane. Also, I'm a big Merc fan. One last thing, isn't the Sauber a famous race car, whereas the Nissan just another generic race car? I may be wrong, so please correct me if I am, this was just a hunch.

My turn. Would you rather have a:

I realise that these cars may not be similar in terms of price, but I thought that they would make a good comparo because of their similar performance figures.

^ The two Lotus' are nice and all, but their engine doesn't sing as much as I like to (driven an Exige S2 S/C), hence diluting the driving experience. I'm afraid that I won't fit in the Catherham; just look at Richard Hammond, he looks like Clarkson in it! And the XBow is just no, it looks too bulky and heavy! :indiff:

-> My obvious choice would be the Atom 3 300, it's not too serious as the Caterham, that VTEC sound is better than any Lotus', and will give you more smiles than that KTM! Its a total no brainer for me!!! Whenever I get one, it would be (very) similar to this spec:

^ Just a different color thou.

:D

The Lotus 2-11 is my favourite. Dont know much about these lightweight racers though. :)
Anyone care to fill me in?

Lotus 2-Eleven vs. Lotus 340R vs. Ariel Atom vs. Caterham Superlight R500 vs. KTM X-Bow - The Caterham, my favoite there (although I'm in the same situation as Phil.)

The 340R is a bespoke street legal road racer based on the Elise. The 2-Eleven is like a hardcore speedster Exige with the same Toyota powerplant.

The Atom is a bare bones, bare knuckle track toy for the street with performance to embarrass most supercars (0-60 in 2.9 secs) coupled with a whining supercharged VTEC.

The R500 was the fastest Caterham in the range before the new 620R came along. With 520hp-per-tonne, the power-to-weight ratio is equal to a Veyron, making for savage track performance.

The X-Bow is made by a motorbike manufacturer, it's the heaviest and slowest of the bunch and has a turbocharged Audi engine.

End James May lecture.

The 7 and @-Eleven look the best, but looks aren't what matters in these cars.

I would have an Atom, because of the extra power.
