New one:
Tesla model S or BMW M5
^ Easy, the F10 M5. Especially with this:

105K Mile Mazda RX-8

vs.

70K Mile Mazda MX-5
^ The NB MX-5, even if I barely fit in it. :indiff:

D: An RX-8 isn't girly, it's a pretty quick car.

If by quick, you mean a 15 second or so 1/4 mile, then yes. And it loses to the MazdaSpeed 3 in that category as well. They handle fairly well, but so does the Miata, which is also vastly more fuel friendly.

So the Miata it is for me.

^ Even you lower the bar a bit to compare it to the S2000, its still slower on the straights and on the track (stock-to-stock). Just ask Gan-san.

It does have almost double the power of the Miata, plus a rotary is badass.

It also makes more power than my near 20 year old M3 and has more ratios, but it is still slower. Power isn't everything, and I'd much rather have a broad range of available torque compared to numbers on paper.

Pretty much.

Call me old, but I'm a bit over the cars you have to rev to space to get power over. Broad, smooth power is much more useful than peaky top end. Maybe less fun to rap out from time to time, but more fun to be able to pass without down shifting

Messed this up about fifty pages ago, so re-trying it now.

Maybe the Lower power one. My PZ gives some of the fast ones a run for there money. Even on track, Handles great and keeps up with some pretty quick cars. Not everything is a Drag (unless in america)

Rx-8.

But there both girlie cars

Really isn't girlie, ive made some girls Grab My Arm and say STOP. Ended up not saying that later though :sly:

My Mates s2k with spoon parts couldnt keep up with me at 1am on the motorway.

So yes RX8 for me (high mileage so want full service history), MK3 MX5 though would be closer competition.

Yay, stereotypes!

The RX-8 is consistently tested in the high 14s to low 15s range for drag strips, typical 0-60mph, and generally horrible fuel economy. I've driven them and been in them at tracks, the gearing is just too tall for the most part with how the power develops.

The S2000 is typically a bit faster in a drag race, but top end it is pretty bad because it is relying on moderately tight ratios for those figures. Which why you likely pulled away from your buddy.

The chassis on the RX-8 is quite good, and you can fit some pretty large tires in those arches, so one would expect decent lapping out of it. But I just find the motor far too much of a novelty in such a chassis - would much rather have the 2.3L turbo in there instead. I think it is more telling that the Miata is almost as fast in a straight line, while having a more usable powerband, and the MS3 flatout smokes the RX-8 in this category. Realistically, it would just be down to the drivers for tracking I feel.

As for your PZ, the US never had that option so kind of a mute point here.

Fact is the Renesis holds back the RX-8 so much it hurts.

True to a point, drags are for power, Rx8 is for handling. but I find standard the power curve is smooth and little lag (ask the guys in the Evos and Scoobies with the turbo lag that i pull away from). RX7 is another matter, same price for 8 year old model with same mileage and more power....... just wish insurance wasnt sky high atm. btw not really a stereotype just UK mags/shows/sites use the 0-60 times and thats it (drag has variables) plus we have little to no drag stripes.

AMG, because I got to ride around in an AMG C63 at Mosport. :D

It was quick for a big car, but it didn't feel like I thought it would have.

Chevelle because that gto looks ridicolous with that supercharger and you would struggle to see out the windscreen of it.
E63 because I've always loved the looks of them.
