The Holden Commodore apparently an Opel based model, tweaked for the Australian market and they use the Corvette V8's and some of their models as you say have been rebadged Pontiacs.

Errrr....no.

If you really want mad, try 565Nm of twist (417lb-ft) at just 1950rpm going through a ute with a live rear axle compared to the Holden's IRS. The L98 V8 in the SS-V produces a comparatively limp-wristed 391lb-ft at 4000rpm; it's very peaky for a V8.

The F6 is much more mad than the SS-V. And I maintain it's one of the best things to come out of Australia; the bang for buck is absolutely immense.

To be quite honest the wrong utes are being compared though. The SS-V is more of a match for the XR6 Turbo or XR8 whereas the F6 is more of a match for the HSV Maloo R8, both on price and performance.

FPV F6 easily. Monstrous engine that responds ridiculously well to mods, better interior and nicer looks both in and out are acceptable trade off for a slightly less capable chassis.

It's a class up too, the FPVs are supposed to go with the HSVs.

Plus I just prefer the Ford. It's even more bat**** insane than the Holden with this motor.

May be a straight-6 rather than a V8 but when you have a circa-AU$60k Ford that can compete with/outrun an AU$250,000 Audi RS6 or BMW M5 in a mid-range rolling sprint, you know you're dealing with a top-notch engine. Plus the ZF 6-speed auto is a transmission that can and will convert manual lovers. It's a seriously, seriously good drivetrain.
 
I think I'd have the Ford, by what the Aussies in this thread are saying. But i don't really know.
 
Ford for me, obviously but I don't care for them as they are like a modern Ranchero and El Camino. I prefer the older ones.

F40. It may be terrible as a daily driver, but on a twisty road It probalby would be worth it in sheer awesoemness.

The Concorde just so I can say "I own a Concorde" and have people thinking of the plane ;)
 
Surprisingly I'd rather have the 5th Avenue. Now keep in mind, if I were getting a car like this it wouldn't be stock for long. The exterior may look the same but same can't be said for the interior. Like many of you guys on here I like horsepower and with that being said, this car would be a great sleeper.

Porsche 959 v Ferrari F40: The 959. The F40 looks great as a bedroom poster, but I don't know how nice it would be to live with. The 959 on the other hand looks like it would be at least livable with, plus it's cool.

5th Avenue v. Concorde:: 80's American cars are pretty horrible, especially pseudo-luxury cars from the 80's that are now ghetto fabulous. I'll take the Concorde, although I don't really think it's a good car either, the design is oddly intriguing though.
