I'd be more interested in the AMG than the Audi. Partly because of what I don't know about the AMG, partly because of what I know about the Audi.

Can anyone tell me what sort of 4wd system the AMG uses?

AMG uses the 4Matic 4WD system on the A45 as well as the E63 AMG S.

hold on. I understand your point for sure. this is about which would you rather. they're both roadsters with similar performance(2012 Ferrari 458 Spider 0-60 mph 3.3 Quarter mile 11.3; Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster. 0-60 Time: 3.4. just because one is in the stratosphere with price/exclusivity doesn't mean it can't to be compared to another supercar of lesser monetary value. if the question was about an FXX or Cinque? then, what?

The whole point in this thread is to compare cars of similar value.
I will take the Mercedes because of Chris Harris's review.
 
I'd go with the Mercedes, mostly because I could take more than one friend somewhere, but I'd only want to drive it in the snow (which happens a lot where I live).

How about one I'm actually, can't believe it myself, considering?

They are about the same price and have about the same hp.

OR, a Porsche 944 with about $19K left over for maintenance (which could get a new Mazda 3 for everyday driving and going to get parts for the Porsche).

911 Carrera; doesn't matter if it has turbo or not, you could easily install one as well.

Thanks. I prefer NA engines, though, and especially would not want a turbo in a 25 year old car. Anyway, it's freaky how well maintained old Porsches tend to be, especially compared to classics that were originally even more expensive.
 
Ferrari 458 Spider vs. Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster - I'll take the 458, the Zonda is ugly. If it was a Huayra I'd take it.

Chrysler ME Four-Twelve Concept vs. Ford GT90 - GT90. No explanation needed.

Ford Gran Torino Sport 429 SCJ vs. Chevrolet Camaro - Old American cars with huge grilles. I'll take the Camaro.

Audi A1 Clubsport quattro vs. Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG - The Merc. :drool:

Scion FR-S vs. Porsche 911 Carrera vs. Porsche 944 - A 944. It's rarer than both of those.

No way I'd consider an old porsche simply due to concerns for reliability (if it wasn't a daily driver then I'd reconsider).

As for the Merc A45 amg with the 4matic... Did some research and it looks like the 4matic is an honest 4wd instead of the typical VW/Audi Quasi-4wd. From what I can tell, 4matic uses the rear wheels until they slip and then engages the front (or at the least uses all 4 all the time but never uses just the front until slip is detected). On the other hand I understand the Audi system is the opposite using FWD until slip is detected and then engaging the rear... On that premise alone I'd be inclined to select the MB 👍 (though it wouldn't be the final issue of concern if I was actually buying one of those two).

This is by far one of the most impressive group of cars we've had to choose from. Although I'd be happy with any car from this group, I'd rather have the Lancia.

Definitely the Carrera, it just beats the Enzo on so many key aspects. Here is the wiki page for the Enzo and here is the Carrera's wiki page. The Carrera has a 6-speed manual, which is better than the Enzo's 6-speed semi-auto. The Enzo does, however, have a bigger engine (6.0 litre V12, compared to the Carrera's 5.7 litre V10), so it has more horsepower, albeit not much more.
I also think that the Carrera looks better and is easier to live with. Finally, it is also a Porsche, meaning that it will be more reliable and better built than the Italian Ferrari. This is just my opinion.

Carrera GT over Enzo, I like the style of the Carrera more though I have no doubt the Enzo is probably the superior car technically.

Camaro over Mustang, I've always been more a GM guy than Ford. Simple bias I know but a bias I've always had none the less.

I'm sure that someone has asked about this comparo by now but...

Mustang, simply because it looks a hella lot more badass and has way more power. Not really a fair comparison though....300 horsepower vs 500+? Yeah um no lol

Monaro v. Mustang: Easily the Mustang.

Well, the Boss 429 runs about $350,000 so the Holden would probably much more practical in that sense but I'd still rather have the Boss. That model is one of the most aggressive Mustang designs ever and I absolutely love it.
 
I'd go with the Holden in the battle of awesomeness, because it's more uniquely awesome.

And I'll go with the Falcon in the battle of dorkiness, because the HQ's windowless box looks kind of creepy.

I've heard they're actually using a Haldex system now which is similar to the Audi.

I'd have the Benz easily, it's a cross country weapon and properly nice inside.
