I miss the Supra vs Camaro. Ill take the Camaro but they aren't exactly fast.

Supra. I still haven't warmed up to the new Camaro body style. I just think it was cheaply/poorly designed re-make. All of the re-makes that came out from the Big Three, the challenger beats them all in body style.

Really? I thought the 1LE was a bit quick didn't motor trend compare it against the mustang gt track pack and it ran a quicker laptime around the track?

I'd rather have the Celica because im a big Celica fan hence the username

OK For a Classic Car chase film in the 70s

what would you rather have as a Getway vehicle

Infiniti - The front end of the Acura just looks wrong.

Supra - Opposite to US, the Celica is more common in UK, & a mint MkIII Supra looks awesome.

Caprice - Only if I had to, and I'd change the colour.

Maybe in laptimes but they get repeatedly spanked on stock car class drag nights are the local 1/4 and 1/8 tracks. Bolt ons will speed them up a bit but they are pigs in every sense of the word.

Oh, that's what you meant. That wouldn't apply to me, I'm more for track racing than drag racing tbh.

Even still they are supposed to have decent 0-60 speeds but I watch stock 40 year old cars eat them.

True and I think the Camaro was only faster due to the better tires.

They run 9.8s-10s in the 1/8th stock. Couple bolt ones and they will touch 8s. But even still a 9.9 is like a 15 in the 1/4. I rode in a 40 year old 1970 Mach 1 with a tired 351C and it ran 9.2, and that wasn't even a big block car. It was totally stock on street radials. 9.2 is a 14.4, which IIRC is similar to what they were clocked at new This one was tired, so high 13s when new isn't out of the question. Makes you wonder what big blocks really do.

Neither. If I'm going to have a Beetle, I'd take an old '60s or '70s one and shove a big block in it. At least then it would have some kind of performance where my ATV wouldn't beat it in a race.

The thing about the latest Beetle I've found is that it looks horrible in photos and one has no idea what VW were thinking...

...until one parks next to one and one suddenly wishes one could afford one.

Neither new Beatles have a girl car stigma here in the US plus not a fan of VWs.

I agree with Slashfan the new Camaros are pigs and slow. Plus the owners are "interesting" dont go to Camaro5.com and talk about any other car (IE GT500) because they will BAN you, SERIOUSLY.

That's a load of horse puckey

I'm going out on a limb here.

All are 2 strokes.

You guys are going to hate me for this; I like the look of the current beetle. I don't know why, I just do, there's just something appealing about it to me.

Personally I'll go for the RSi, at it is more appealing to me, but I still love both and think that both are very photogenic.

They look a lot better than the previous gen but not a fan. I hear both the old and current turbo ones are pretty quick but meh if I had to I would just get GTI and call it a day.

I road in one once as my neighbor had one. Stupidly cramped inside and very slow. Not even remotely appealing, at least to me. The newest is a bit of a throw back, it's ok, but looks a bit odd.

If performance isn't an issue, and you find the car decent to look at, and care about MPG, then it's definitely a contender in your market. I will say that.

Why would we hate you? There's no reason to be ashamed of liking a Beetle.

As for the trikes, Tecate, hands down.

None of the above, as all are illegal, last time I checked.

Wrongo bud. In 1987 an agreement was made to stop selling them for 10 years. This agreement was called the "ATV Consent Decree". That expired in 1997. This agreement was made by each brand though was NOT required. They did not have to sign it, but they did anyways. They could put them back in production today and sell them, but there is not much demand for them, so they don't. There is a LARGE restoration and aftermarket following for them though.

These trikes were deemed just as safe as all 4 wheeled ATVs and all deaths recorded were deemed operator error, which is why when you buy one, it has a safety information in the manual. In fact, research has proven that there are more deaths on 4 wheel quads than trikes. Basically, what it all boils down to is that this was when ATVs really started to take off and get fast and the death toll rose sharply. The numbers have since increased over the past 20 years as power output and top speed continues to rise with idiot drivers.

People that think they are illegal need to do some research because they clearly don't know what they are talking about. That is a myth that's been around for years. I've had 2 of these things. in fact still have one, friends that have them, and see them all over.

You can read about the decree here:

Perhaps they're perfectly legal in America, but last time I checked someone around where I used to live got arrested recently for using an old one on their farmland.
