No it didn't slash, I know for a fact that 87 was the first year for the l98 there were none in 86 and none with the t5. Check thirdgen.org for production numbers if you don't believe me, it's a complete record.
Edit: and I'd take the sti, I love the boxer 4 cylinder sound.

You sure? I did say it was a late model '86. Not that it really matters. You owned one lol

Yea, it's actually a common rumor still because gm build a couple l98 irocs and trans ams in 86 to be used for testing but none were ever actually produced or allowed to end up in public hands. Even in 87 you couldnt get a 350 with the ttops for structural concerns. There are a lot of weird things that gm did with them that makes things get really confusing for everyone. I'm kind of a nerd with the third gens because of that car.

911 vs STI vs S550

S550, for sure. There aren't many curvy roads around here to utilize the other two on, so it'd just be unnecessarily punishing to drive a 911 or an STI around all the time.

Interesting. Wonder if the previous owner swapped a 350 in then. Said it was original.

Anyways I'll take the a team van. Love that thing.

Mustang vs Camaro: Camaro is my choice.

Small premium sedans: A4 all day everyday.

Race cars + van: Fun Cup car so I can go racing for 25 hours.

911 vs STI vs S550: Merc is out since it's not a sporty car. STI is great but the 911 is my choice.

Vans; A-Team every time.

I love this comparo idea, keep it going! I don't even need to think about it, I pick the Merc. Of course, the Porsche is very nice and I definitely respect it, but when it comes to my personal choice, the luxury of the Merc wins every time. I mean come on, it's an S Class! I'm willing to bet a modern S Class can compete with a Bentley or Rolls Royce! This is just my opinion, though

Also, I can't stand most JDM cars, so the Subaru is my last choice.

Ram 1500 I guess.

I'm sorry, but you didn't include the C 63 AMG in this category? I get that not everyone loves the C 63 as much as I do, but it definitely fits under the "cool looking v8 powered sedans" category!

Anyway, I'll take the XFR-S, because it's the most civilised. The Ford's paint scheme just shouts "look at me!" and the HSV reminds me of a Kia, which is not a good thing. In the XFR-S, you can shred tyres as well as cruise (in a civilised manner) to wherever you need to go. I would also prefer the XFR, though; the XFR-S looks too childish with that massive rear wing and I just can't take it as seriously as the XFR, despite it being a better track car.

You're right, it does. I just didn't choose it though, because I was thinking of the more "look at me" type of cars in this comparo. Plus, I've included Mercs in at least 3 of my WYRs so far as well as BMWs. I wanted to choose something different.

Also noticed that all 3 just so happen to be large sedans with supercharged v8s.

In any case I'll have the FPV with a cloth interior and a manual. Just for the crazy factor.

I'd take the Falcon and repaint it. The c stripe is for a Mustang and only a mustang.
