Oh well, seems like you hate my car. (my particular GLI isn't on that list though) But, I suppose many others hate Jettas too. Mr. Regular sure hates the A3 Jetta. And boys who view a Jetta as a girl's car probably look down on it as well.

Anyway, you didn't mention that you hate the A3-generation GLX VR6, the only one that is not a GLI on the list, so I'll take it as your pick. :D

Can I ask why?

Sniff...sniff... *sits on the divan* :(

Thing is, in Bogota, every damn rich kid with Fast & Furious pretentions asks daddy to buy a Jetta MkIV GLI for him. I kid you not, the things are damn everywhere and they're driven by the obnoxious of the obnoxious, the creme de la douchyness. I actually think they're damn good cars and are a pretty good bang for your buck, but even when they aren't driven by a spoiled brat I still dislike them because of how unoriginal a choice they are (You had 60 million pesos and wanted a turbo car? Oh, you got a Jetta...oh how original...you must be so interesting). Mind you, we even joke that the local track isn't called "Tocancipa" but is called "Jettancipa" because of the sheer number of people that attend thursday night drag races with a Jetta...and as you can imagine, most of them are lovely chaps...

I know, it may be coming off a bit pathetic, or resentful, or whatever. But point is I hate them because I'll forever associate them with such traumatic memories...:(:(:(

I see...that's some interesting info, thanks for sharing. :) Always good to hear about the varying reputations of certain cars from one country to another.

Honda Insight vs. Toyota Prius - Insight, because it actually looks nice.

Ford Capri 3.0S vs. Saleen Mercury Capri 5.0 - Capri. I'll take the decals off.

Ford Mustang Boss 302 vs. Chevrolet Corvette Stingray - Stingray. That Boss is ugly.

Volkswagen Jetta GLI (A1) vs. Volkswagen Jetta GLI 16V vs. Volkswagen Jetta GLX VR6 vs. Volkswagen Jetta GLI (A4) vs. Volkswagen Jetta GLI (A5) vs. Volkswagen Jetta GLI Autobahn - A4, it's just .

Results:
1. Volkswagen Jetta GLI (A4)
2. Volkswagen Jetta GLI 16V
3. Volkswagen Jetta GLI Autobahn
4. Volkswagen Jetta GLX VR6
5. Volkswagen Jetta GLI (A1)
6. Volkswagen Jetta GLI (A5)

This WYR is based on price and the fact that they're both SUV's. Don't yell at me because one of them is significantly faster than the other.

Definitely will take the Grand Cherokee SRT8.

Yes, I'm one of those people that can't get over the fact that Porsche made and sold SUVs for the masses under its own name, deviating from the company's soul. I don't mind their efforts in simply messing around and coming up with things like the B32 van, but seriously creating a cash cow and putting it in their product lineup for years? No, no, no... Yes, it's a good car, it's very well-built and it handles nicely. Maybe the second row seating area could have been bigger, and the sporty driving position is kind of an unnecessary gimmick, but I'll admit it's not bad. I quite appreciate how they successfully pulled off a styling that still retained some of the 911's design language, and I personally think it looks much better than the Panamera, but...still...Porsche SUV? No. Just no.

Anyway, the Grand Cherokee SRT8 will probably excite me more, after all.

Maserati Granturismo assuming they still come with that glorious 4.7L V8.

I'd rather walk than own one of those SUVs.
Audi R8 GT. It's a hard pick between it and the Maserati. Don't really like the California, and I think the M6 GranCoupe is one of the most stupid things ever made.
