Any 70's event MarcoM, plus the WRC Experience. I did find that trying to change the livery froze the game on me, twice.

OK thanks.

Still waiting for Milestone to release the 3 lacking countries for the Vita version. The game totally rocks on the Vita, but with only 6 countries on the retail disk, it can use the 3 promissed countries.

Mini DLC freezes up my PS3 every time I go and try and adjust vinyls

EDIT: Reckon its glitched. Shows up multi coloured on car selection, plain black when on stage, and lime green in showroom 👎

Look what I found on the EC Sim hardware FB page :gtpflag:

It's only a preview of their upcoming advanced plugin for wrc 3 pc 👍

I had exactly the same problem, same colours and everything. Only way to solve it was to delete my save data. I got it as preorder so I only lost 10 minutes of messing about. I tried deleting just the dlc and re downing it, but that didn't work. Save data, I'm afraid.

Test it by backing up the data on a usb first, if you doubt me.

thats awesome, it comes to something when someone else has to step up and finish for them (ec sim hardwares) milestone you need to send these guys a cheaque im getting feedback on there progress of fixing most your problems and adding new fetures on there facebook page you have your own website that i pop on most days looking for some news of an update (no one wants to see new videos on your site) they want there broken game fixed!!!!!!!

👎 not doing all my Road to Glory again no way. Anyone have a save game or no where a save is downloadable?

Broken? Really? That's comment is so overused...

YES Really and if milestone fixed it with a patch inside a week or two the comment BROKEN would then not get over used !! (definition of BROKEN :- not functioning properly. to quote from dictionary.com) with all its bugs and faults i think broken is a fair description

Thank you Cliffo_83 that is one points that makes the game/sim broken

'Broken' and 'incomplete', 'unsatisfactory' or 'inadequate' are different things, by your logic Dirt 3 is also broken even though it does what it set out to do perfectly. The only things you could call 'broken' in WRC 3 is the manual transmission launch bug and the repeatable crashes.

If you consider it to be broken because it doesn't do what you want it to doesn't mean it IS broken, you're just trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. WRC 3 is great as a half-serious rally game, but if it's modded to become more hardcore then that's great too. I for one will be installing everything I can to improve it as a sim but I've had a lot of fun with it in its vanilla state.

I'm not saying the game isn't broken, but this mod doesn't appear to be fixing anything, just adding H-shifter and clutch support.

Let me re-phrase that, it's not broken it's lacking special features for hardcore sim racers:odd:

Which are being addressed by EC Sim Hardware

ok guys as i said above definition of BROKEN :- not functioning properly. its just a word that i used to discribe the games condition it was released (most games need patches right out the box and indeed get them quick ) i also said i have enjoyed this game very much, why someone dont like the word broken coz its over used is beyond me. its just a word !!!!

Anyway in a nut shell im angry that milstone has not sorted the bugs out and its been over a month now and theres nothing on there website to at least keep us posted as to whats going on

They got their money mate, now they dont give a toss!!!!

Most devs are the same....

Oh man just had a go in a fully upgraded Peugeot 205 and the results wasn't good. That thing has so much power and is so twitchy was down by 9 seconds after 3 sectors lol. I don't think it helped that the race before that was done in a Peugeot 504 lol

Milestone have patched the previous two games so a patch will come, I think. It just might take longer than with other games as they are a small studio.

As for the 'broken' debate - true, broken means it does not work. Sorry but the game does work, ergo: not broken. It's almost a cliche-level comment now for dissatisfaction, rather than for what the word actually means - that's my objection.

Okay, maybe the game does not work as a sim; there are other options than the H shifter though and I don't recall the game ever being touted as a true sim. Also you are talking about PC gaming. There are almost as many system set-ups out there on PC as there are PC gamers. It is always a difficult thing to get right for all systems running all of the extra programmes they have onboard, plus requirements. Not an excuse, just an observation.

Working in software support I know how many people get problems running software on their particular system, whilst others do not have any problems at all. It's the nature of this particular beast.

Now it's all good that another bunch of people are working toward making the game better suited to a sim-style game - that is also the nature of game modding, putting lots of hours of work in ontop of others work.

Frankly I'm glad that the game is a step closer to a sim than has been on offer recently - but I doubt you'll get a full blown rally sim just yet. Maybe next time.

I've not got as far as the 205 yet - it was absolutely nuts in WRC 2 though, so I feel your pain.

damn you Milestone. Ok I will not buy the Mini.
Might be different on the Vita.

no matter what any one says the dictionary says

definition of BROKEN :- not functioning properly

so i can use broken to discribe this game if i want so there

It's perfectly fine, your opinion is after all your opinion.

I just feel that the phrase is overused, and not always correctly...which is just my opinion.

Does anyone using the PC version feel that the frame rate looks bad? I'm getting 70fps but it does not look smooth. It's noticeable when I switch from iRacing to WRC 3, iRacing I get 80 fps but it looks so much smoother than WRC 3. After a while I don't notice it but yeah it looks really bad at first.

I noticed that too, I was getting a steady 80fps and it looked weirdly choppy, but not in a screen tearing sort of way. Turn on V-sync, it fixed it for me, if you get over 60fps at all times (and have a 60hz monitor) there's no reason to not turn it on.

I have managed to get a decent way into the game now, just starting on Monte Carlo which is great. I like the way that the Finland stages are now almost unrecognisable from the first two games and far tougher. That first Group B two stage rally was a real challenge.

It's odd how the German stages, although similarly improved, have been made easier with removal of the roadside stones on the Panzerplatte stage. The Alsace few stages I've tried seem far better too.

The thing though that gives me the most trouble so far is the gatecrasher events, where the blocks change colour. Sometimes they are so unpredictable.

Im having problems with the gatecrasher events as well!, i cant change direction in time to hit the green ones!!

Yup, irritating as hell. I'm not 100% sure but the pattern also seems to shift randomly. I'd get through four or five attempts and then the pattern seems to change.

Like I say, not fully sure that's the case though. Still, I suppose this does get us to come back and try a few times. I did do better after leaving it for a few days.

Bedankt MarcoM - I wasn't sure if I was just imagining it :)

I know the screenies aren't the prettiest amongst current games. I do like taking them though; they manage to capure a lot of the atmosphere felt during the various stages. I also think they are a big improvement on pics taken in the second game.

You went very wide in that last screenshot. :D

It's a great game with some flaws. Like the sound not being present at the start of a race. But I still keep playing it because of the physics and stages. Vita version is lovely too.

yes I have noticed this and I'm running an XFX 7970 XXX B.E

Well that was interesting... I race with rewinds turned off (because pro sim rally driver), so imagine my horror when I got to the very last turn of the stage I was on - One of the ones in Greece, i.e. very twisty and hard to keep up with - and very gently clipped a bank on the outside of the very last turn. My car, a Skoda Fabia S2000, proceeded to attempt to get inside the bank, at the very last moment the game thought 'hang on a second, that's physically impossible' and ejected the car, which then basically self destructed and I had to either quit or restart. I quit because my arms are tired.
