Milestone have patched the previous two games so a patch will come, I think. It just might take longer than with other games as they are a small studio.
As for the 'broken' debate - true, broken means it does not work. Sorry but the game does work, ergo: not broken. It's almost a cliche-level comment now for dissatisfaction, rather than for what the word actually means - that's my objection.
Okay, maybe the game does not work as a sim; there are other options than the H shifter though and I don't recall the game ever being touted as a true sim. Also you are talking about PC gaming. There are almost as many system set-ups out there on PC as there are PC gamers. It is always a difficult thing to get right for all systems running all of the extra programmes they have onboard, plus requirements. Not an excuse, just an observation.
Working in software support I know how many people get problems running software on their particular system, whilst others do not have any problems at all. It's the nature of this particular beast.
Now it's all good that another bunch of people are working toward making the game better suited to a sim-style game - that is also the nature of game modding, putting lots of hours of work in ontop of others work.
Frankly I'm glad that the game is a step closer to a sim than has been on offer recently - but I doubt you'll get a full blown rally sim just yet. Maybe next time.
Oh man just had a go in a fully upgraded Peugeot 205 and the results wasn't good. That thing has so much power and is so twitchy was down by 9 seconds after 3 sectors lol. I don't think it helped that the race before that was done in a Peugeot 504 lol
I've not got as far as the 205 yet - it was absolutely nuts in WRC 2 though, so I feel your pain.
damn you Milestone. Ok I will not buy the Mini.
Might be different on the Vita.
