Have you used RSRBR before? Cause if you did and you like Rally you would be in the RBR Fanboys club too...

Played Richard Burns Rally for over 5 years and yes I have used RSRBR up to the latest iteration. It is enjoyable yes, is it the best rally game evar? No, as I have repeatedly said, RSRBR is a cool mod but it has no single player susbtance, there is no point, it is not a game. Just a time trial thing.

I personally can't stand the term fan-boy, I think its very juvenile term and mostly found between Xbox/PS who can agree on what's best in their opinion...

Well as your refusing the give WRC a chance and have sung the praises of RBR continuously throughout this thread, the term fan-boy is deservedly used on yourself.

ya? well keep your observations to yourself in future.

Really? If we did that we wouldn't have any opinion and wouldn't have a forum. I realise you only consider one persons opinion but the rest of us enjoy discussing the opinions of others.

How can I be refusing to give WRC 3 a chance when its not even released yet? Just because I voiced my opinion about how unhappy I was with 1 & 2 doesn't mean I won't be getting the 3rd one, I, like the majority of Rally fans will purchase this regardless of the finished product. At the end of the day, we, the rally fans are the ones who should be giving our opinions. Just seems like anyone who disagrees nowadays on any forum is classed as a "Fan-boy". Also voicing my positive opinions about RBR doesn't me a fan-boy, it means I like and enjoy the title and that's it. Now if you leave the personal Fan-boy attacks out of it, that would be great, I don't recall attacking anyone personally

Let it go man, will ya?

No no, you were not just disagreeing, you were ramming home the point that you hated the WRC games and RSRBR was/is the best thing around. The not listening to anyone reasoning.

You haven't given WRC3 a chance purely because you have already mocked it and Milestone for attempting to knock RBR off its little branch.

You done? Rant over? can we please change the topic?

I am perfectly on topic thank you. This is a WRC 3 discussion thread and WRC 3 is involved in my discussion.

listen man, can we agree to disagree on WRC? jeez....

Instead if posting negative opinions, just don't post them, and none of these silly arguments happen :)

This game looks promising. I haven't played any real Rally games before, but this looks like it might be my first major rally game :)

If anyone is expecting a sim then you're going to be disappointed. It will be around the 7 mark on the sim scale and considering its an official licensed game that's not too bad. Im just glad that you actually have to brake and that it has narrow stages. Unlike the dirt series with its full throttle 2 minute sprints.

I wonder what 7 countries have been re-done. Spain looks like one obviously.

in an italian interview they've said that they've redone all the stages.. till now all the stages they've shown have been redone: portugal, spain, montecarlo, germany, france, argentina, greece, wales.. and they are already more than 7..

Official Website
Brand new routes for 7 Rallyes

Says 7 there. Don't know if its been updated or not.

Gota say this is looking great!

The demo for WRC 1 put me off when i heard the second was near enough the same i didn't bother but this one lookes miles better.

I hated DIRT 3's two minute stages and the overall feel of it, so i'm hopeful that this will be my first truly enjoyable rally game since the colin mcrae games on the ps2.

Graphics and stages looks good so far, just need to hear more on the physics and sound and i'll buy it on release.

In your eyes perhaps. RBR is very very outdated these days you know.

RSRBR 2012

WRC3 (early build)

WRC2 for comparison

At first I thought that RBR footage was of WRC 3. I was not impressed. Then I realised it was of RBR, and I was confused, because RBR generally has better graphics than that. WRC 3 looks like an early PS3 game, which is a damn slight better than WRC 2 looking like a late PS1 game!

What PS1 did you have? Because mine didn't produce graphics anything like WRC2.

I'm liking what I'm seeing from WRC 2012 so far, but I think the game will be seriously let down by the current state of the series.

Ooh sexy voice...
I read this comment before I started watching the video. When I watched the video, the first voice I heard was the guy with the nasally-sounding voice, and I wondered what the hell you were talking about.

This ain't a RBR vs WRC topic in most respects. RBR is an old PC and PS2 game. Comparing it to WRC should not even happen really, at least on PS2 as WRC 3 is on PS3

easy lads, I only posted this because a member posted a RBR comparison video that wasn't really a good comparison video. This WRC game has a lot of people touchy... Relax

How ironic! Have a look back at your own posts. You are the guy in this thread using multiple question marks at once, ranting and banging your head against a wall several times.

Smile, it'll make your day a little better, I hope

Looking more and more into WRC 3 I am liking what I am seeing but I am still concerned with the physics, I guess there isnt word on a demo yet?

Not yet, Check out the VVV videos earlier in the thread though, he seemed pretty impressed with the physics, as did ISR.
