I just read the release date is October 12th so I thought I would check with local retailers (online) and I can't find it listed anywhere, any idea where it is available? Even the WRC website hasn't got any "where to buy" listings yet.

I know that 1 and 2 didn't get release dates in the US. Did you get them in Australia? If not, then ordering from an EU online retailer is what a few US players did, maybe you'll need to do the same.

This time around though, I can't imagine they'd miss out on those markets - so maybe they haven't got around to arranging that part of it yet...

The first two WRC games were available over here, the first being quite easy to find around release date, the second... not so much, heck I couldn't even find it and I live less than 100km from where Rally Australia was held last year. I'd have a guess that this was due to low sales of the first WRC game by Milestone. I ended up importing WRC2 a month or two after release date, and I still didn't see in it any stores here for at least a month after ordering it (with the added bonus that it only cost half the price that it would have been had I bought it from EB).
 
Looks pretty decent to me. The menus seem a lot more interesting this time. Looking forward to downloading the demo on Thursday. 👍
 
Menus seem a bit old fashioned with the art style on those drivers but other than that it looks very promising.
 
I've tried browsing this thread for any info regarding the ability of importing a copy of WRC 2 for an North American XBOX 360 ?? Obviosly I will do this w/WRC 3 if possible!
Any and all info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance....... I'm fairly new to this site so be kind please

I'm fairly new here too, so hello.

I'm sure once it's released it will be fairly easy to pick one up online even if (and I hope it isn't the case) they don't release it in the the states. I'm fairly confident it will be available on Amazon and Ebay. If you still can't get hold of a copy let me know and I'll buy one for you (I'm in the UK) and put it on Ebay for you at no extra cost other than retail and the cheapest delivery. I'll stick the receipt in the package too. I don't think that will be the case though, they'll be missing a beat by not hitting the states. The more people playing the merrier.

My main concern is the disk an all region(play on all xbox360's) or do I need a modded 360(not going to happen) I really doubt the game will be released in the states as most blackbean/ Milestone games don't see the light of day overhere.(I know there are exceptions SBK etc...) anyway I'm looking for confirmation that an imported game will play on a North american console. Thanks alot for the offer though !!!!!

No problem. Sadly, I couldn't help when it comes to compatibility regarding regions on the xbox. Besides, personally I'll be getting it on the PS3 cause that's the only console I own and my laptop is 4 years old that barely works. Perhaps a quick email to the games manufacturer might help. Ask them if it's gonna be released in the states and if not will it be compatible if you import.

Keep us updated on how you get on. I think others are in the same boat as you. Also there's mention of a demo being released, I don't know how xbox accounts work but if it appears in the online store then I'm sure it'll be released there, if not try opening a European account like us PS3 users and see if you can down it that way.

Good to know a demo is on the way. I'll be sure to download it when it arrives in the Store. I loved the first two games, so I can't see why I won't like this one. I'm easily pleased. :D

Have to see how it goes as release gets closer, I can find WRC 2 at retailers but I'm not sure if they were available at release.

Extra frustrating because after this last video by inside sim racing it is looking extra good.

I find it quite nostalgic, and since the model rendering itself isn't spectacular, I'm very much okay with using portrait illustrations than photographs or 3d models of humans.

Game looks fun. I wish they spent some more time making the camera angles have more variety.
 
I've just seen Xbox Live on September 21st and PSN on September 22nd announced - as it's not an official Milestone or Black Bean site I'll wait until tomorrow for confirmation.
 
Demo is supposed to be live today, off topic, F1 2012 demo is live. I'll keep a eye on the UK store for the WRC3 demo...

It's got nothing to do with which console people own, it's just people. All very childish I'm sure you'll agree?

I'll check the UK PSN here in NYC at 7pm(12GMT) to see if the Demo is live. Anyone know what time the store updates in the UK?

It varies but it's usually between 1 and 4pm I believe, they do occasionally have delays and such though. It wouldn't be too unlike them to miss the actual release date, plenty of things have been late or missing lately... Just check the comments of any store update blog post and see for yourself!

Ya, I had a look there, it seems to vary throughout threads, I guess the 24hr timeline will have to do us for now. If I see it appear, I'll let you guys know. :)
 
I can't find anything about F1 2012 anywhere on Steam let alone the demo...

New details from WRCTHEGAME Facebook though.

EDIT: F1 2012 just popped up on Steam. Still no WRC on PSN. (I'm home ill btw)
