Hi all,

I've been playing and really enjoying the WRC 3 demo, but I have one quibble - the pedal and steering wheel settings are not customisable enough. I really want the wheel to be able to turn at least 360 degrees, if not more, but it's locked at 180 at the moment. And the pedals seem to almost work like an on/off switch - no gentle breaking or slowly opening the throttle. Does anyone know if this is how it will be in the final game or will there be more options than there are in the demo? I think this game has the potential to be incredible, but I'm a bit worried that the handling will be too "arcade" if the wheel/pedal settings are locked at the demo's settings.

It's only a Demo so we all have wait for final version to customize wheel options. I'm not intend to wait ill buy it after enjoy it demo so much.

What wheel are you using, my G27 works great. Both brakes and throttle are fantastic.

I fully agree on the wheel rotation but the pedals are fine.

Go into the advanced wheel options and see for yourself.

Accel/Brake linearity work as it should.
Default for pedals is a 1:1 setting. Ex throttle at 50% = 50% pedal travel.

Seems ok. Would like more wheel rotation though.

To see what I mean on the pedals, when the countdown is going on before the stage starts, try pressing the throttle gently - nothing happens until the throttle is at least half way down. I know in the wheel settings bit it looks as if it is working, but try at the start of the stage and you'll see what I mean. I'm using dfgt by the way.

You can use the R2/L2 triggers on a controller for accelerate/brake, so I would imagine that the various wheel options can do this incrementally too.

WRC 1 had options to adjust pedal saturation etc. Not too sure about steering lock but there was an option to change the linearity for steering.

Oh right I hadn't noticed that.
TBH I was a bit annoyed they don't put you into the cockpit until the last moment.
I know they have been working on the car models bless em but all that panoramic view before the start is annoying.

Still leaps and bounds over previous efforts and streets ahead of dirt.

Yeah I've been playing the demo loads, it's hard, but so satisfying when you get it right. And yeah, loads better than Dirt 3 from first impressions. The stages in Dirt were just too short and not nearly technical enough. I will still be playing WRC3 to death, even with this slight quibble, I'm still loving it. I just don't get why they would put that (steering) limitation in the game, I bet the PC version won't have it!
