Something funny just happened to me and I had never seen it before.

I was doing the Circuit de la Sarthe race in the French Championship under the European Hall.

I accidentally ran off course bc I wasnt paying attention at the very beginning and so I fell back about 7 secs of the pack. As I went through the S curve I saw that I was approaching everyone very quickly and thought that it was quite odd... :odd:

So I exit the S and see cars EVERYWHERE. They were all over the place. To the left, to the right, sideways, backwards... complete chaos for the 5 AI drivers... They basically had a 5 car wreck somehow... so i dodged through them and rode away in the lead... and its quite funny to watch on replay lol.

Has anyone else seen this happen?

that is well funny like some one alse said that the formula 1 cars all crashed at once think this is a bug in the game go to the forums and fine a post that says some thing like formula 1 keeps crashing

It's a common thing thing at that circuit. Happened to me a couple of times... I think I might have saved 1 of the replays! Will post some pics later perhaps :)

I remember one race on Suzuka, a car would ALWAYS go off into the dirt on one particular turn, every single lap, good times.

This happened to me on the Ring. I have the replay and will take pictures of it. It was the end of the fourth lap and all the cars were hauling down the long straight at top speed. I was down by a good 20 to 30 seconds but noticed none of their dots were moving on the map. When I got to the bends at the end of the straight they were all in the sand spinning their tires trying to get back on the course.

How do I take a picture of that? Is it possible to do in Photo Mode or do I have to use my digital camera and take a picture of the TV?

When you watch the reply you can take pictures of it, if I'm not mistaken.

Ok, SOMEONE has to post pics of one of these. I personally haven't seen this happen before (hopefully it does), but I'd like to see some pics, or better yet, a video clip!

Seriously, we need a pic. That kind of stuff is great.

I dont have a digital camera... and I dont have a way of loading it any other way.

I have a feeling that youd be most likely to see this happen in a manufacturers race or in a race that requires road/sport tires bc it make the AI more likely to run slightly out of control.

sorry I cant get a pic though :ouch:

Yeah, if you did i'd love ya <3.
Don't you have a USB Stick or anything which can connect your Ps2 to your Pc?

This is true since it also happened to me!
I was just practicing at La Sarthe Un chicianed and I was reaching the end of the long straight and braked and made the turn easily and then in my rear view mirror I saw something zoom past and just ram into the wall! After that I swicthed to my other view to look behind and saw a cloud of dust! It was pretty damn funny to me.

Yea it happened to me at the driving park I think. The first place guy was about 1 sec. in front of me and coming of the turn he slid through the dirt and slid into the pit. I know he didn't mean to do it because it was the first lap.

I'm gonna get a memory stick this week. It's almost a requirement if you want to have any fun in Photo mode, and so far all of my amusing moments are on videotape. When I get GT4 mostly done and am goofing around, my goal is to knock at least one car into pit lane per race. So far in GT3 I've only been able to do it once, but the cars have more mass in 4 so maybe I'll have better luck.

I did notice something funny. I was having a rough time in one of the GT Championship races, so between feeling frustrated and experimental, I decided to try some bumper car. I recalled being banged into really hard by a bot in one race, and it seemed more like retaliation or something.

I was being dogged by the Mazda 737 Renown LeMans, so I slowed down and let it pass me, and then rammed him off the course. I had too much momentum so I went with him. Then to see how it would react, I tried to pin him against the rock wall. He pushed me out of the way and took off. And I mean OFF! I couldn't catch him after that. :sly:

Yes this thread sucks with out pictures. Damn I wish I could find that simily!

I've NEVER had 5 AI cars crash at once. I've had 3 on Nurburgring right in front of me go at it. (4 of us in a pack at the beginning) The front car lost control and the two behind them slammed into that car causing all the cars to spin out of control and one went into the air. I wish I saved the replay. It was in the very beginning of my GT4 experience and I wasn't familiar with it yet.

This one?

the crashing of AI cars was rather common in GT3 for me. But i've noticed in GT4 with the while racing through Italy there are some rather nasty spots that i've been wondering about. I wonder if i can cause my own pile up of AI cars. If keeping to the right hand side of the lead car of the AI pack, since they tend to play follow the the leader. keep him from being able to clear the walls and buildings of the course and run him straight into the wall. will they continue to follow until it is to late? :scared:

Formula GT experience at La Sarthe.
I was bombing down the straight after the Mulsanne.
About half way to the Indianapolis corner (at that slight jog to the right) was a mess of F1's.
My Minolta had no chance in threading the needle....I SMOKED an F1 that was trying to back out of the grass and onto the track.
Jeebus....and Steve McQueen thought his crash there was bad.....

P.S. the AI for the F1's is a mess at Laguna in that series.
Constant spin-outs anywhere between the bottom of the corkscrew and the pit entrance.

What compells someone to call this a bug? It's not a bug. Are you telling me you've never watched a 5 car crash before in real-life? I've seen worse.

This happens a lot. It happened to me. I guess it's a common thing to happen. Why am I not surprised.
