So, TCS slows down the car's full potential, if your a good driver you should be able to go faster with it on 0, besides that, TCS on 1 makes very little difference.

I disagree, and 1 still makes a good differnence :), ASM proably will be a hinderence, but TCS especially on 1 will help the driver out a good deal :)

Not realy, I can drive the TVR speed 12 faster if I'm concentrating, with the TCS on 0 than on 1, 2,3 or whatever, I can drive it easiest n 4 but I can't do as fast laps. TCS on 0 gives you the most control over the car, that's a fact, that emans as long as you're good enough, you can do better.

L4S is right in my opinion. 👍
(rep points awarded for that too  )

TCS on 0 is the fastest way to run.
All of my laps are done on 0 and any time I add TCS to the mix I am thrown off by 2 things... 1) my car's inability to accelerate as I expect it too (due to the engine being slowed by the tcs). 2) my car's inability to handle as well as it should due to the lack of power-oversteer or throttle induced oversteer.

On a more important note though...

I find it very annoying to see times like the excellent lap made with the TCS on 1 shot down when there was nothing in the original post regarding a prohibition on driving aids.

Fact is, the more that sort of thing happens the more it looks like this is about stroking an ego and not seeing what other people can actually do.

And like I said...
There was nothing in the first post about driving aids (much like all other aspects of this race).

When did you guys say no AIDS? I searched the entire thread and never saw that. Are we starting to see why preperation is a good thing?

You didn't say, "The best AWD car, ~500hp, SM Tires, NO AIDS." YOu just said Best AWD car with ~500hp and SMtires. ALL cars at this level have TCS in some degree. ALL of them, in real life.

Now, I'm not a huge fan of the AIDS and I honestly don't believe that Spec needed the TCS to get the time that he did. But having TCS on doesn't make his results any less accurate. Especially since you failed to mention that earlier.

OH, why don't you put your setup and full requirements in the first post as you were asked by another member earlier, it would make it much easier for others to understand the challenge.

On page 7 none the less.
(rep points awarded to swift for that post as of now)

Also notice that on the same page (7) when MasterDriver addressed TCS there was no mention of driving aids being part of the rules.

I don't mean to pick on the creator... I just want to point out what sort of problems occur when a race is posted and not throughly thought out and organized in the first post.
(just as well, what happens when rules are added as time goes by)

Gotta be fair to everyone :) Rules cant be bent for you :(, if its so much faster do it on TCS 0, 2 cars that met all expectations were added.

Angry little friend?
(btw, nice job of editing out that comment)
