It's working.... but whenever I try and start just plain XMB with wavy line.

Furi, switch off, then hold button until you hear a triple beep, then let go... then check database and file system...

All is. Now the wavy lines have froze and stopped.

Downloading update data to try fix from US PS website.

EDIT: It's now randomly restoring file system.
 
While we await today's fate, who here besides me wish the online lobbies had the added capabilities of timed races and/or time or distacne whichever came first? The former would come in handy for a race like today where you could do a 2 hour 24 minute race i.e. 2.4 hours. :)
