Hey somebodysb2, can mic and I use the golf gti 05. It meets the weight and power regulations. Its getting hard to find a suitable car.

Just to clarify, or add confusion - this wasn't our final choice, we were still in the testing process. But we named that car as a way of putting our name to it early.

But we have done more testing and our final choice is:

Citroen C4 coupe 2.0VTS '05

Colour: Lime Green Metallic

Hope that's okay that we've sort of changed our minds.

As for the car, there was a post earlier that you'd like us to not use turbo where possible. With the engine tuned up to Stage3 and all the Intake and Exhaust top end stuff, it came to 278BHP - Fresh from the dealership with an oil change

So then we'd be using a low RPM turbo and 'un-click' some of the exhaust or intake features to come in under the req HP.

Also aero items are allowed, we saw that mentioned by other posters. We'd like to use aero as there's a crazy looking big rear wing for the C4. It makes it look like a Pikes Peak racer, or some special stage Rally car. We'll use it for the looks, for all we know it's no more than a big airbrake :scared:

HK psn is STILL down, so in desperation, I started a new account and hopefully by next week I can have enough credits to tune my car and start the series.

No testing yet, still grinding the cup races for $, if any of you can add: GTP_Bertram and gift me some cars for credits for tuning the cars, I will be more than welcome to accept them :), I made this new account that is UK based so I can race because my I3ertram account is HK based.

If your rules says no 2 door sports cars, then why you permit BMW 135I? It's 2 door car. So you permit car like Nismo 270R? Or maybe Toyota Supra, it's 3 doors and FR?

Sent FR to I3ertram a whiles back, but no acceptance - probably due to PSN down? Anyways will add GTP_Bertram

*BTW all the posts re 6 cyl. Did you realise that the 320i Touring Car is based on the 3 Series E46 2.2 straight 6

Me and my team-mate were thinking about that too.

My suggestion is: we could look at doing it on the race day and time listed in the OP.

Do a 1/2 race distance event (or full :) )to test tyre wear.

TBH, I don't see PSN in HK returning in a couple weeks, so I might appoint a "emergency" host.

^^^ That's great news, for us the PSN shutdown was like a bad memory. Didn't think there were guys waiting for it to clear

If I limit it to only 4 cylinders, there will be A LOT of cars that will be knocked off the championship.

I believe the Volvo is a 5 cylinder? besides, FIA regs state only 4 cylinder, BMW could have easily taken another powerplant.
 
e.sport - thats the new ST, which uses a 2.0 4cyl 'ecoboost' engine

The old ST (as in the game) is a 2.5 5cyl engine found in T5 Volvo's - albeit slightly retuned.

Has there been any movement on start dates?
 
To all competitors:

Series start will be delayed for 3 weeks due to work. Mid July will be the start of the pre-season test/race.
