X1 makes every other car feel rubbish

So I have been using the X1 alot since I hit level 30

Now every other car just feels so slow, even some of my LMP/ group C cars feel like they have no downforce and are really slow. I know performance isn't everything but every other car feels undrivable

Looks like I'm going to be steering clear of the X1 for awhile (sorry for pun) until I have gotten used to the other cars again

My question is:
Does this happen to you? Do you still think all of the other cars now suck after driving the X1?

Yep, took me two days of driving normal cars to get good with them again.
I drove the X1 11 hours to Gold the challenges and then another 6 to finish Suzuka 1000KM.
I'm not driving it ever again, seriously.
Bob will though, but not me.

Doesn't happen to me, not at all. Dunno why, though. I can switch from an LMP1 car to a GT300 or even some midrange street car and feel decently fast; I have absolutely no idea how that's happening.
I appreciate it, though.

I don't like to drive the X2010 either, though. I always have an imaginary sign flashing up repeadedly when driving it. It reads: "Real Driving SImulator, yeah right."
It's useful for grinding the 30'000+ XP at Dream Car Championship Indy, though.
Averaging 450km/h at Indy makes it a cake walk :D

I think OP meant from an X1 to an LMP car, or from an X1 to a Nissan Micra for example.
An LMP car to a Nissan Micra is normal :)

First car i took out after the X2010, I put straight into the kitty litter on the first corner :dopey:

Certainly takes a little bit of re-adjustment back to 'real' cars after driving it.

Yeah, sure, I got that :)
It was just another example. I can go from the X2010 to, dunno, a Suzuki Cappuccino and I feel fine... I actually have more trouble getting my head around the X2010, no matter how long I've been driving it for.
It feels so... Cartoonish.

Yeah, you expect understeer so turn in slightly early.
Then next corner you learnt from the previous corner and turn in slightly later and still get it wrong.
I just hate the X1.

I haven't driven the X2010 for any extended periods of time because it's really boring. It's like, oh good, there's nothing here that can come close to challenging me, I can take almost every corner flat out and yeah, it's just a grinding fast forward button as far as I'm concerned. So I can't really comment on this, but I will say if you feel like you can't drive anything else now, you'd definitely enjoy the game far more if you did stop using the X2010 for a while.

I mean why buy a game with over 1,000 cars if you only ever use the one that's fastest by quite a big margin and ruin your perception of speed and normal handling? That's not a criticism directed at anyone, it's a genuine question, the X2010 is not a fun car once you get past the novelty. In my opinion, of course.

I personally enjoy driving the X1 and for me it doesn't take too long to get used to a normal car again.

I too used to drive the X1 a lot when I first got it. Truth is, the fun wears off pretty quick and I was back to driving road cars and occasionally my favourite race car, the Sauber Mercedes C9.

I got the X2010 yesterday. I'm still in chock after 500km/h on Indianapolis (with slipstream of course). I need some Fiat 500 and that Eiger K trail hill to get back to earth again.

Fiat 500 > X1 :D[/QUOTE]

Fine then. I'll trade you a fiat 500 for your X1(s)

Yup, it's kinda ironic. I fly out of the X2010 quite a lot. But, with every other car, I do it to the itside. With the X2010... To the inside.

"Okay, I'm apporaching this corner at 220mph, careful there... Dang, should've taken it at full throttle!"

Fiat 500 > X1 :D
As far as fun goes, definitely 👍

I havent driven the X2010 in ages. Only Bob does, he loves it. Makes my b-spec process dead easy and leaves me with having fun in my other rides.

Already got it :D

I love doing the Fiat 500 at Eiger Nordwand K Trial :D

Already got it :D

Lol

Hey, still collecting every car in the game, got 17 left to collect :D
Unfortunately, still can't get the American DLC car though...

The X2010 is a special car. I don't particularly like driving it (though my Bobs do). It's a challenge in itself though and sometimes I enjoy taking out one of the fancy colored ones to La Sarthe and see how fast I can lap it.

Drivingwise I really enjoy the LM Race cars much more. They're the sweetspot for me in terms of speed, handling and being suitable for a wide array of track types.

I actually enjoy driving the X1, especially with its cockpit view. If you really wanna try to challenge the **** out of you, drive the x1 at the 'Ring, FLAWLESSLY.

I try to drive it as little as possible as I do find this happening also. If I race the x2010 alot I end up forgetting that in other cars you have to take appropriate lines and brake every now and then!

Nope, dont really like driving the car, feels really arcadish. Lets just say I enjoy driving a Civic more than the X1. Love its looks though, especially in midnight blue .

Hasnt happened to me,I still love my LP640...but to my friends its the same reaction :p

I refuse from doing the challenge because I can. It's a cheater car, just like the Formulas. Also, they're utterly pointless. :indiff:

Nope, and I use the X1 a lot. (in fact I'm using it for the 24h Le Mans right now). Even though the performance of every other car obviously can't hold a torch to the x1, they are still fun to drive for their own unique handling capabilities. I like testing out and driving cars. The process of learning the ins and outs of em and tuning is enjoyable.
