Help

The x2010 seasonal has broken my ironing board. I'll have to blame it on my wife's over vigorous ironing technique.

Any suggestions on a temporary replacement to rest my dfgt on?:guilty:

A table would be the best idea IMO.

I had a similar problem; you probably want to check out the "wheelstand pro" (google it) - I like it very much and it is quite affordable.

Cheers,
eK

Depends how much room you have to work with. For under $20 you can go to your local hardware store and build to suit your needs.:sly:

Plywood, then you can blame the cat for sitting on it.

You can build something very cheap,

Think of a right angled triangular prism.

Build something like this(ignore WxDxH) out of pine but make it to suit your height, width and make it have a sharp angel at the back so it is not that long.

I couldn't stop laughing when I read this thread, it's really funny.
Anyway just get a wheelstandpro it can be folded away when not in use to keep your wife happy

It's a miracle you survived that!

Next time use a very manly table.

Looking at that and your avatar made me lol!
I just use a craft table for my GT5 needs. It hasn't failed me so far. :)

Well, on the bright side, that's the wife's christmas present sorted. :)

Just make sure its a quality, sturdy one.

Pictures, or it never happened!

I've heard of that car burning up a few steering wheels, but never an ironing board, thats a new one, lol. You what they say, duct tape can fix anything. Long live the ironing board, lmao.

I've managed to resurrect an ikea set of shelves that were in the garden ready to take to the tip. More stable than the ironing board. Will post a pic later. The Misses could even iron my smalls on it!

Build a racing cockpit. It cost me less than a Wheel Stand Pro to build.

I use an ikea table, so I guess anything ikea would not break! :dopey:

Well, my G27 has always been on my ironing board and I'm yet to find something better to fit it on.

The thing is, when driving the X2010, if you so much as let go of the wheel, you might get the board broken (mine is bent because of my first time driving it).

Shoes? Heck how about his wrinkly shirt?
Badum-tish.

I've been thinking of building a cockpit for some time now. I even had a rough sketching drawn up and everything... looked a lot like your's Eric, just enclosed a little bit more. I think this may end up being my project over vaycay from work in a few weeks.

The plans I used were designed to minimize costs. MDF isn't cheap.

Is this english?

No, you broke your ironing board.

Is this english?

It's English English

I've translated any possible colloquialisms below

ikea - swedish company who sell reasonably priced all over Europe
garden - back yard
tip - place where you take rubbish for disposal.
pic - picture
The Misses - Her indoors (my wife)
smalls - underpants (underware)

tbc21
Is that you, John?

Awesome. The only thing that would make this better is if his wife were ironing at the same time.

Edit: ugh phone cant quote pictures.

I wouldn't want to be in your shoes now.

Just shoes? How is HR going to get his long johns ironed now that winter is upon us?
On topic, get the wheel stand pro. I have that and its affordable and sturdy.
