You'd have to do it without penalties, and only allow passing if it doesnt take anybody out. The ballast thing is ridiculous.

Yeah, I'm not putting penalties on for the championship. Accidents are all too hard to avoid in X2010's sometimes. :boggled:
 
I would like to host X2010 racing most every evening (US time). I would start around 7 PM EST and race till around 1 AM EST. Its just that I have trouble PMing people, and the obvious lack of popularity in these races.

Leybob used to host all the racing but he's gone and I suspect forever?

Most likely, I noticed it started to slowly die after I stopped showing up. Also, what is your PSN by the way? We may have raced before.

Ahh, jawsome. Some good races were had between us. I'm gonna go mess around with the Ballast in a bit, I highly doubt it'll make much of a difference.

I also do the "Ferrari F1 championship". There's a slot open if you want to give that a whirl on Sunday around noon mountain time.
 
I did a Full 200 KG of ballast at Nurburgring GP/F. My lap time went from 1:00 to 1:06. The main diff is the car wants to "catch air" off of little dips and kerbs.

Did a similar test at Trial Mountain, time went from 38.4 to 41.7. The weight really cuts into it's cornering ability. In a sense it'd make a more balanced series, given all the drivers were within 4-6 seconds of each other.

I am not staying up till midnight here just to do some racing. :sly: Although the popularity hasn't been terrible at this point. Although what do you mean by trouble PMing people.

That's a pretty good reduction. Again though you don't really need to run all the ballast.
 
There used to be 10-15 of us that would race the Red Bull X2010 until 1 AM or so. Hasnt happend in a couple weeks. It seems to have dis-banded.
 
Well, all this PSN downtime had me grinding away for a new X1. Bought a Matt Black and put my favorite number on it. Calling dibs:

My satin blue X2010 is currently stuck online from the PSN outage. Still have two 0 mile S.Vettels but I'm not willing to use either of them.

racerboy94 used to race with us using a controller. He wasnt much slower, he even beat me a few times when I spun, went off, or didnt know a track. With the new controller sensitivity its closer I think.

My blue X2010 has 3,000 miles on it and goes faster than a new one. No point in holding back.
 
Im interested. I'm a DS3 user, but dont mind getting last. (though surely I'll beat someone) Were it not for controller Sensitivity, my X1s would never leave the garage though.

My Controller time is about 1.5 seconds off my Wheel time at Trial Mountain (39.8 compared to the wheel time of 38.4). So it is close, it just comes down to knowing the track and having the skill to drive it flat out.
 
I think we should try a test race if PSN comes back on, maybe with racerboy94 & Artmann in there too.

Probably should set the distance around 300 KM> thats about an hour in these cars. 52 laps of Suzuka would be good.
 
OK...I have another series that I've planned out. I don't know if this series will come through, but I might return to it eventually. You'll see what it is probably, and I'm hoping, hoping that it will actually get some good interest. Sorry for those who were actually interested in this, but I have another idea for a series that, as I've said, should be good. Or at least I hope it will... :)
