The S.Vettel X2010 is awarded at lvl 35 B-Spec.
The 24h endurances are also unlocked at 35 (24h Le Mans @ 35/ 24H Nur @ 40)
Coincidence? Or PD wanted 24h races to be possible?

I don't get it....

You think they are impossible without the X2010?

And wouldn't you still have your X2010 gained at level 35, from then on. What difference does that make on the Nurb 24/h.

Sorry I just don't get what you mean.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of "coordinated" anything in GT5.
Where the problem comes in with the X1 (original name) is that at lvl 35 it unlocks the challenge and puts it in the OCD; but you can't buy it outright until lvl 40 A or B. Yeah, you get one for free but why show it to me if I can't buy it? They should have just put it in the OCD from lvl zero.

Also not sure of the OPs point. The 24 hour races still take 24 hours no matter what car you use. If they only took 18 hours when you used the X2010 perhaps then....

The secret is out. The 24 hour races can be done in 12 hours using the X1. It's actually a time machine. Once you reach 288mph...

Haha it would to go around the track at 186000 miles per second for that to happen.

The x2010 unlocks at level 30, you win it in the Vettel special event. you then get another one free at level 35 B-spec. you can then you can buy one at level 40 b-spec.
But if you do only remote races and the special events you can use the X2010 for offline b-spec in lots of events. lots before the Ring endurance race that remained locked till level 32.
And yes remote racing was planned to be there from day 1 of release. but was not thank god, the servers had enough problems at launch.

HE's actually right, to a degree. I ran it in B-spec using the X1 and it was so far ahead it could have (I wish it were possible) gone to the pits with about 8 hrs to go and gotten some sleep; ate a good meal and not gone back out onto the track and still win the race. Same with all the Enduros it's eligible for. It doesn't have to run the whole race to win.

Yes indeed, you can far enough ahead in 12 hours (perhaps a bit more) to win. Just park it till the 24th hour, then cruise across for the win.

But somehow I don't think that's what the OP was talking about. lol

I think it's at 35 because they want you to try to Vettel challenge at level 30 before giving you the freebie. ;)

By 35 you should already have one. And by 35, you should be well past the x2010 euphoria.

If they put it in a dealership visible at Level 0, then it would likely make some players avoid buying any high-end car (Le Mans Prototype or otherwise) until they could buy the X2010 outright.

If they put it in the OCD to be purchased by anyone, it defies the point of it being such a high level car.

And they reveal it to you at Level 30 so that, now that you've got yourself a fairly decent car collection, you can have a goal to attain. After Level 30, the only races left are the 9 Hours of Tsukuba, the 24 Hours of Lemans, and the 24 Hours at the 'Ring. These races take a significant investment of time, but are likely the most efficient way to get to Level 40 in their appropriate categories. It gives you a reason to want to get to 40 and not give up at the races that are 'plausible.'
