X540 or Altezza Race Car?

Should I try to get the Altezza LM Race Car or the Tom's X540 in the Altezza race in ameteur?

i'm quite a fan of the BMW M3 GTR and, because it was left out of GT3, i think the Altezza LM Race Car makes for a worthy substitute. my reasoning for this is that the Lexus IS 300 (or Toyota Altezza) was meant to compete with BMW's 3 Series; so it's about as close as you'll get. also, i'd have trouble complaining about the Altezza LM's almost 100 hp over the M3 GTR. to answer your question, the Altezza LM, by all means.

Even though I have a biased opinion because I own a IS300 in real life, the Altezza LM is by far the best choice. I have both cars and the Tom's is just a handfull to controll at full power.

What everybody else said. The Altezza LM is not pretty. But it's very, very fast. It will win you many races.

Upon what car is the Tom's X540 Chaser based? I assume one of the large Toyota products. I haven't really paid attention to the car, I've just seen the name listed.

Is it the Toyota equivalent of the Nismo 400 GT?

I was recently excited to win the X540, as it's a car I'd never driven or played with.

Disappointed comes close. It is overly heavy, and much has to be done to make it competitive. The Altezza on the other hand, right out of the shop is a fast, tight and responsive car.

My vote for the Altezza.

My Altezza LM has over 1,000 miles on it and a ton of trophies in the back seat.

I put around 50 miles on my 540 Chaser. Then I promptly took off the steering wheel and locked it in the trunk.

I think it is based on a Toyota model called the Chaser. I have yet to play GT2, but I checked out the car list and it has three Chasers: Chaser Tourer S '96, Chaser Tourer V '96, and Chaser Sports TRD X30. Any of you GT2 veterans know of these?

If you don't like the x540, remember teh chaser LM from GT. you got the chser LM by sleeping through the second cup series. The chaser LM was sad until you learned how to tune.....

chaser equals camry? no! even without knowledge of these cars you should know thats not true by just looking at them. they look way different. and ofcourse, the chaser is rear drive.

If you want a race car get the race car, if you want a fun car to play with get the chaser. tha altezza is obviously faster. why not get both?

The main appeal to the chaser in japan is that its badass. a big 4door car like that with a big turbo engine and RWD is just sweet. im pretty sure its the same twin turbo motor that the supras have. its very tunable. but it can never compare to a real race car for racing. its too heavy. its just a badass street car and maybe drifter.

Yea it would be nice if they could get more european cars in the next GT. besides all of the street M cars, the M# GTR would be great. I consider it cooler than the altezza LM because its NA. And of course BMW.

your right advanR, more european cars would be nice. here's how i'll do the race- i'll do it once with the altezza, get the LM Race Car, then go back and get the X540. It'll be good to have it even if it isn't great, but it's a unique car in the game.
