I believe the MS wheel is discontinued (cheapest, but also not very good compared to others)

Check out this site, the best available for xbox http://www.fanatec.de/html/index.php?id=200&lang=en

Fanatec wheels are on the pricey side but most here who use them can vouch, don't forget to order pedals too.

I agree. Fanatec would be a great choice.

I am currently running the Logitech DFGT ($125-150, I got it for $6 lol) on PS3 but unfortunately I am stuck using a controller for 360. I have been doing my research over the past few months and determined the best wheel for XBOX/PS3/PC cross-platforming was the Fanatec. If you have or are looking to buy a cross-platforming wheel Fanatec, arguably, has the best wheel: "Porsche 911 GT2." This runs at $249.99 with no pedals. Pedals will run you $49.99-199.99 depending on how bad ass you want to go, you will want to spring for the later. You then have the option to upgrade various parts of the wheel and pedals including shift pedals, pedal faces, etc. So, this will run you $450.00 for a wheel and pedals (add in upgrades if applicable). Also, throw in shipping from their warehouse, I believe it is in Germany. They used to sale a Clubsport edition which included the wheel and pricier pedals, which was later no longer offered. The package deal cut $50.00 off the price, previously put back on the market from time to time, there has been no update on a future package. Also, if you have any hiccups along the way you will have to deal with their customer support team which has a questionable reputation. I suggest you forum search here or at the official Fanatec wheel owner's forum and look for yourself.

Unfortunately, if you're looking for a wheel strictly for XBOX, Fanatec no longer offers one.

Also a few IMPORTANT things to consider:

1- Next-gen consoles are right around the corner.

With the full reveal of the Wii's successor at E3 in days and recent deals from Microsoft including a free XBOX, the next generation in console gaming is almost here. Students who purchased a PC or laptop (running Windows) greater than $599 were offered a free XBOX360. Product dump?

2- Forza 4 is, obviously, a Microsoft exclusive.

With that comes the possibility of introducing a new wheel along with the launch of the game. It would be ill-wise for Microsoft not to capitalize on this. Keep in mind the E3 demonstration of Forza 4 is currently scheduled for 4 hours. Typical presentations usually run from 4-40 minutes.

Overall, be concerned with next-gen compatibility.
