i wos just wondering how you connect the ps2 mem card up 2 my pc with the xport (havent got one will do soon!) is the xport like a mem card slot attached to a usb cable?

While this may be the wrong forum, it's simple enough to say that the X-port does not connect to your Memory card. It connects to the PS2.

If your computer is not within 6 feet, you'll need extension cables.

By now, you would have figured that Sony would have developed an adapter and software that would allow you to connect your Memory card to your computer...

ph **** i thought it would be nice an simple! my ps2 and pc are in different rooms where do you think i could get extension usb cable then?

I carry my PS/2 over to the PC,.............. yeah, pain in the ass,... but it's worth it.

You dont need a TV to run the shark/X-port,..... you only need to tune your ear to listen if the PS/2 booted the cd correctly ;) 👍

extensino cables are easily available at most Computer stores. I think a 25 foot cable will cost you about $35 (US). If you're running a long distance, RER's idea is pretty much right. Although for your first few times, you may want to set the PC up next to your PS2 so that you can note how to set it up, and how it works.

Good Luck

i find nothing wrong with just unhooking my PS2, bringing t down 2 flights of stairs (my room on 2nd floor, comp n basement), then wireing it back up.;) :p

i think id rather buy an extension cable than try 2 move my ps2 because the plugs for it are hidden away behind a big unit and the only plugholes in my pc room are taken up by my pc, the speakers, printer, and even broadband needs a plug!:) ive already thought of a few things i could create but i dont want anyone nicking my ideas so i wont post thm til i get it which will b my b-day:p

If you have a PS/1,.... use the old power cable as your "temperery power" at your PC station. That way,. you never have to unplug it from "way back in there" ;)
