Just got ylod!!!!!
This is bad luck first router then my ps3 wtf!!!!
Can any one help me!!
Pease help first my router now this!!!! Is there anything i can do to keep my things for the ps3?
It work for a few min then shuts off

Mine got YLOD about 8 months ago. I fixed it with the heat gun trick and it would work for about 30 days, I did that about 3 times before I got enough cash to buy a new slim. Just make sure you back up your game saves often.

I need a permanent fix, I can fix it my self for about 25$ but I risk ruining it or spend a 100$ and let sony do it. Should I do it myself and what if I mess up will sony still fix it?

Im not really shure whats up with mine, it over heated like 8 times since march and still works great. i get hours of play out of GT5 with no problems but it only overheats when i play BF3 and its very inconsistent somtimes ill get a few hours somtimes or a few minutes before and without warning it shuts off.
And get this on one occasion it shut off after a few minutes of being in the BF3 menu after i started it up then it shuts off so i turned it on again and got a few hours of play with no problem? it cant make up its mind.
I recently cut a hole in the top for extra ventilation and its seemed to help

Sorry im not helping much i have a thread around somwhere myself in the console 7 gaming but since this one was fresh i felt like chiming in.

I dont know my one work a few minutes and shuts off I really cant get a new one my dad will get pissed because I should be focusing on school more than video games so I need a long-term cheap solution.
