You are Given $55,000....

My dream is to get one of these cars, and take a month-long tour of the US tracks and time it out so I can hit up the open track days. So Hopefully I can find a deal with the $55,000 allotment and have money leftover for tires.

I ride a KTM, so I am biased:

Any one of these Catterham's would suite just fine:

I decided to check craigslist to see what I could get locally, I found an Ariel Atom:

I am also a fan of the new pony's, so I am very, very torn on what direction to go...
Boss 302 laguna Seca:

or the RTR:

So there you go, I'm torn, but the us highway system is vast, so I would probably need something very comfortable with a radio and a trunk.

Full restore on my beetle

Then find myself a 23 window Barndoor Bus With 1/4 Times of 13's :D

This could put me over Budget.....

I would buy this :

1953 Hudson Hornet.

And then fill it up with this :

Good sir, You have an undeniably awesome sense of style. However I must call blasphemy on your engine choice. No H-Power?

I would get a Lincoln Town Car with the extra 6 inches of legroom addition. That comes out to $52,895. The rest would be for maintenance.

At first I was wondering why a used Town Car would be 50k.

I didn't realize they were still making that even though they stopped building the Crown Vic. I also didn't realize they were so damned expensive. What the heck.

Well they last 400,000 miles and up because they are built for commercial use like taxies or limos. And I added all of the optional features in that price.
Also, did you know they are 18.5 feet long? That's longer than an Escalade.

If I had 55K to spend on a car, I would buy a decent used car (A Corolla perhaps) for under 10K, perhaps 15. And I would set the rest aside for something else.

Against the rules, read dat OP.

I would find the newest, nicest, low milage Acura NSX I could find.

There are a few out there for under $55k still in really good shape.

..

I can and have found Z06s for around $35k, with that I'd do some tasteful mods, maybe a Procharger and still have plenty enought left to do a whole 2JZGTE swap on my daily GS300.

Or perhaps a used M60 M5, RS4 with an MTM S/C or 335i with Stage 2 turbos. For that much money why not have a 500rwhp car that can be daily driven.

i would buy the fully restored 1969 dodge charger or super yenko camaro from the local Rare&Classic cars dealer. then fork out the rest to buy my sister her dream car. A 1952 HUDSON HORNET!

I would make my perfect budget three car garage:

993 Porsche Carrera RS:

Off road modified 80 Series Toyota Landcruiser:

That should be about 50k or so.

Can't make a decision, but it would definitely be one of the following:
-R32 GTR
-Z32 Fairlady Z 300ZX TT 2 Seater
-GTi-R Pulsar
-TA22 Celica with 13B Rotary
-VL Calais Turbo with RB26
-VK Calais 308 5.0
-VH SL/E 308 5.0

And if I could find one for a decent price:
-HDT VH Group II
-HDT VK SS Group A
-HDT VL SS Group A

I think that would be enough to get you to the 50k mark, if you want a pristine e28 m5 it will probably cost like 10-15k and for the truck if you count the modifications you're looking at probably another 10-15 grand
