You can still send >1m cars between accounts on the same PS3

As in title - just to clarify for people who are still repeating that you can't. Seen lots of complaints that their cars are trapped in sub-accounts etc.

Send to friend's PS3 - Blocked.
Send to sub account on same PS3 - Still works.
 
ahah so now its the opposite of what people were saying? ANd that sending to ANOTHER ps3 is blocked but on the same its ok. LOL. Every scenario possible has both been confirmed and denied up until now.

So this lends credibility to ebay being the issue and not duping.
 
Yeah, I just sent a Zonda F to my GTP account. So nobody's cars are stuck in sub accounts, that's good.
 
sorry to ask what is probably obvious, but I'm at work and unable to access my PS3 - is "send to sub account" on the drop down list if you triangle the vehicle you wish to send?

Exactly. I've been trying to say this from shortly after the patch went up. Been having arguments across threads with others that just put up pet theories or just plain untruths without testing anything for themselves. It's simple!
 
I cant get home to try myself, but is there any possibility of just not updating?

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic here, but in case it's an honest question - a sub account will just be one of your 'friends' obviously (but in reality a fake friend on your PS3).

Did I say you couldn't? Maybe they did lift the block temporarily then. Yours is the first evidence I've seen if you're telling the truth. Cool.

I was just pointing out that 1.07 never stopped >1m cars between sub accounts when most assumed it did and still do.
 
So some people appear to be trading as before from their primary account to a sub-account on the same PS3.

Is there a difference in having a 2nd sub account compared to a 2nd primary account? In other words, does trading >$1,000,000 cars still work from the primary account to a 2nd primary account on the same PS3?

And why would i not be telling the truth? Do you think i just want to wind people up and waste their time? No. Just trying to state a point. And yes, you did say we couldn't; "SEND TO FRIENDS PS3 - BLOCKED" Line 2 of your 1st post.

Chill out, didn't mean it to come across like that. It was blocked that's why I wrote it. Anyone claiming it wasn't was actually sending between personal accounts and was just surprised by that. You're the first person that is sure they've sent one across PS3 boundaries - I don't doubt you mate.

Just semantics. No such thing as 'sub' really, they're all just personal accounts.
 
Cool, i can assure you all that i did indeed send an X2010 prototype to a friend in Oz. Checked my times and it was actualy over 4 hours ago. Since then within the last hour someone else has started a thread about doing the exact same thing. I don't have multiple accounts so can't confirm anything from that front but between seperate PS3's it would seem all is normal! Fingers crossed.
 
About 14hrs ago, after the patch, I tried to send a 1.5m car to my second master account on my PS3.
No way.
So I was wondering: is thia sub account everyone is talking a proper sub account (an account of a minor/child) o just a master (I mean normal) account?
Does it mean the limit was gone a few hours after the patch?

not being my usual sarcastic self at all, it is an honest question...I tried "gift to a friend" to another account I have on my PS3, and it wouldn't let me...that's why I'm asking if there is a different method to send the virtual vehicle.

lol, no probs. Didn't want to be caught out by someone fishing so was wary! Strange it didn't work for you though?

No it's not strange, a sub account is completely different from another primary account. You can send these cars from sub account to primary account.... but you cannot send from one primary to anothers

I don't understand what you mean? What really is a 'sub' account anyway - they're just seperate accounts on 1 PS3. I don't have one primary and one sub, I just have 2 accounts - semantics. If you mean you can't send from PS3 to another PS3, of course I know that.
 
How can there be such a thing called a "sub" account. When I set up my "sub" account I don't remember any questions asking if this was primary or sub or whatever. As far as I am aware all a "sub" account is, is just another account that we all call a sub. Am I wrong?

You're absolutely right. Some people have some strange ideas and throw them around as facts.
 
I sent X2010 to my other account last night to try to see if you couldnt send them anymore. Account is on the same system. Did Not Work. This car could not be gifted it said or something like that.
 
So many mixed opinions I don't know what to believe. All I know is 3 hours ago I sent a lvl24 ticket to my "main" account. I thought I would try and send an x1 to the account I had the lvl24 ticket in and I couldn't as daily limit was reached. I guess I will see in a couple of hours when it resets.

Have you tried it since? I had 1.07 as soon as it was out and I could send a 20m car straight away.

That's right. It worked for you, what's strange? It's one transaction per day per console (no matter how many personal accounts you have). Forget the confusion between subs and primaries, they're constructs of GTP language!
