I'd really like to see some European Ford and Vauxhall love.

It's crazy that Forza and GT are without probably europes main everyday cars like Escort, Astra, Sierra, Fiesta, Cavalier, Mondeo, Capri, Cortina, Vectra.

There's so many every day cars from asia in both game but europes main cars for the last 30-40 years are much better have street and rally cred to use on. Such a missed opportunity. Understandable as the devs are US and Japanese and already have euro exotics or the usual German makes.

EDIT: no need to join but I've missed some polls. Hope at least the Sierra Cossie got some votes.

I don't know if you noticed, but a few of those were on the polls already.

That's what I'm saying, finally some of the those are mentioned but I've not seen the results so doesn't matter if they're all there. When I say I hope to see some euro love I mean votes. Do you know the results? Just hope its not all American voters.

The results for the first three rounds are up above. It's the current understanding that T10 will get as many of the winning choices into the game as possible. Their partnership with Jalopnik is going to span across three different DLC packs; the classic (or legends, if you will) pack might not contain the usual 10 cars...it might be 16 or so.

I've no idea. Yet.

Thanks. Just reading the OP now. Looks like my Escort and Sierra Cossies are in with a shout.

Edit: Fan:censored:tastic.

Sorry that I've been at work all day guys, but I have updated the OP with the different grouped cars. In the morning, I'll post the winners again. I reeeeealy want that BMW M635CSi from Group Five as well as that Dodge Omni GLHS from Group Six. They've got totally random, yet awesome picks that everyone will love/enjoy.

Problem is, when it really gets down to the nitty-gritty voting, its going to be very hard to pick the cars.

for those who struggle with math, Group VI closes out Round 1 voting. (6 groups x 20 cars in each = 120 cars) That means we'll be voting amongst the 10 winners in each group. I would assume that we'll be choosing 5 from each which will take the number down from 60 to 30. The last step will either be choosing the final 15 from one group, or 3 cars from 5 groups of 6. Then we have the final 15 cars that will be in the User Choice Car Pack....Although, perhaps "User Choice" isn't the term for it, considering Turn 10 chose the cars and all we did was vote. So maybe it should be "Voter's Choice Pack" Although, I wouldn't be surprised if most of the cars listed will be in FM3 or FM4 anyway, but still...Anyways, happy voting.

My picks for the 5.
1. Delorean
2. 89' Torous
3. Hemi 'Cuda (warning: the sounds and model for this car will most likely be based off a replica...although, maybe Turn 10 was watching where the authentic Hemi 'Cuda went at the Barrett-Jackson auction last week)
4. GMC Typhoon (I'm surprised the Cyclone didn't make it)
5. De Tomaso Pantera

New winners are up. I'm noticing a trend where there aren't very strong showings for the popular, but a bit "askew" choices. Still, the Alfa Montreal made it. I'm surprised, I thought I was one of only a few people that knew about it.

EDIT:

Round two has begun, so we're picking packs of ten from the winners, plus additional "golden ticket" choices from the comments section. Link is in the OP...

I am glad that the '89 Tourus is still there. I don't know why, but I think that would be a fun car to drive around in a racing game.

You know, this DLC pack better be free. It would be rather ironic and stupid if they let us vote for the cars we want and then charge us money for it. Then again, I guess I'd be more willing to pay for it then, but I also wouldn't want to pay for it. I mean, it's like writing a book and then having to pay for your copies...or making a movie or piece of art and having to pay for it. Just doesn't feel right.

I highly doubt it will be free. If it is I will be shocked. Keep in mind they still have to do all the hard work to get the cars in there that we want. Which means finding these cars, and modeling each one into the game. Its one thing if they are picking the cars but these are the cars the community picked.

actually, from what it sounds like, Turn 10 already had the rights to, and access to the vehicles on the list. I would assume that all that has to be done is the modeling. If they had to do all the information gathering, I would assume that let us choose what cars we wanted instead of simply letting us vote. And yes, I do believe it would take a few months to simply model the cars. It takes PD a couple months to make a single one of their cars, and I would assume Turn10's cars take a similar time to model. And then they have to submit their models to MS for approval, and that takes a month or two, as well as was discovered with Test Drive Unlimited. (TDU promised a Car pack every month, but because MS's approval time took so long, they were limited to a pack every other month or so.

With that in mind, the cars might already be modeled, but I doubt it.

This was voted out:

1993 Renault Clio Williams

WHAT? :( 👎

If at least one of them doesn't then someone needs a good kicking.

I'm under the assumption that if you are not a Jalop yourself, you probably aren't going to like the cars that have been piled together by Jalopnik. Their website is known for quirky, sarcastic, abstract and downright odd views, opinions, reviews and discussions about automobiles. Unless you're an avid reader, I'm not sure how I can easily explain it.

Lets put it this way, if there were five pillars in the Jalopnik automotive world, they would be:

1) Chevrolet El Camino
2) Ford Crown Victoria P71
3) Volvo 240
4) Zombiepocalypse Survival Vehicles
5) Vintage British - everything

Don't try to think about the connections too long or your head might explode. With Jalopnik, you're either in or you're out. I get the feeling that these car list(s) are going to be exactly the same way.

As long as the 70 Cuda makes it to the end I will be happy. So far I think the lists are excellent. Very wide variety of cars. 👍

The biggest surprise: The Hemi 'Cuda didn't make it. But maybe it'll live on in a golden ticket.

One more voting round today. I suspect it'll be a vote of 15 in the last group of 30. And it almost sounds like there will be two DLC packs: the Official Winners Pack and then the Golden Ticket Pack. One will have the top 15, and the second will have the 5 runners up. but I could be wrong.

There's supposed to be two pack anyways right? One we've voted for and then one the Jalopnik guys picked

And I imagine the Jalop-chosen pack will probably be "leftovers" from what we had left. Or totally awesome, random other new vehicles. Somehow, the inclusion of the KTM X-Bow seems likely. Or the Holden Ute SS.

Anyway, I'm going to update the OP with the FINAL choices. You have to pick five from the 15, and oh-my-freakin'-god is it hard.

1965 Fiat Abarth 1000 TCR (Commenter Golden Ticket), 3500

The M5 got through but this didn't? Good work voters, more German saloons is definitely what we need! I can only assume the people of Jalopnik are inbred morons.

The OP has been updated with the winners, chosen by the fans. I'll be honest, there were a lot of upset choices in that mix. If you're like me and love late '70s and '80s performance cars... This list is for you.

Hmm ... I can't see myself getting this pack despite the two bmws. I wonder how much they'll cost in game?

How the hell did any of the Trans Ams or the Cuda NOT make it in?

Booo! :p

No, seriously, that sucks.

for those who can't count. that's only 14 cars. The 15th is the 1970 Chevy El Camino 454 SS which is the Jalponik Editor's pick.

The El Camino is a nice touch. The DeLorean, Cyclone, Lancia and Pantera are among my favorites along side the AMC Javeline.
