When your response to a post such as that above is (in timid, whiny voice) 'ooooh, shut up....'. :D

it was an incomplete sentence. you did not finish you "though"(as if you can think)how the hell am i supposed to tell you what you're thinking.

"though" is supposed to be 'thought' - right?

I thought it was pretty clear - it was a jokey response, a weak 'oooh, shut up' as if the comment about the thread had hit home. Geez.

And if the 'as if you can think' comment was intended as it reads then you might do well to consider that this is a good humoured thread and tone your responses accordingly.

Now come on, vat_man. There's a thing in this world called '***** envy'. Might even go back to the cave man days. You gotta recognize when people have this and let them slide a little.:shakehead

I know this is a little off topic, but here goes:

Does anyone here remember GT1? Remember how it wouldn't automatically take you to a replay when the race is done? Instead, you had a choice of either viewing the replay or moving on. Now you're forced into the replay and have to skip it...not really a big deal, I s'pose, but it's really irritating!

Same thing with ghosts. They can be helpful, but when it's right in front of you and blocking your vision....it isn't. This is another case where in GT1 you could just turn it off, but not in either of the sequels.

You know, for all of Polyphony's attention to detail, they sure miss some obvious things.  :weird: :reallyodd:

:Poke:

Thanks, man.

Actually, you probably didn't - the manual isn't quite the comprehensive document it was in previous GT incarnations.

Fair call on the ghosts, especially if you're like me and tend to brake too late early on. You'll start to brake early and the ghost will just sail past, obstructing your view of the apex.

Whew, I don't feel so bad now...and no more ghost problems! Thanks, vat!

It is funny how any game in the GT series is full of little oversights...or maybe it just shows how anal we all are! :rotfl:

First of all WHAT DO YOU MEAN THANKS VAT. I TOLD YOU. Second, I also didn't know until I saw on another message board.

Actually, fair point - that was GT3Maniac that gave you that pointer, so kudos are his.

Maybe he was grateful for me making him feel better ;)

As in "Hey, honey, did you know that you can get that car up to 950bhp in GT3?"

My wife loves that!

My wife has about the same interest in anything automotive too:)

All she cares about is gettin her "family" car, all I want is an Impreza, with no back seats to make way for a dealy ICE set-up:p

On a slightly related note I ony managed to play through the Pro Race of Red Emblem this week due to odd hours @ work, have to make it up next week, got to due Laguna Seca and Apricot Hill enduro's, not looking forward to 40 laps in a MX-5!!

Actually......another sign ou play GT3 to much:

-You actually enjoy the endurance races, and repeat them to try and get all the prize cars! Note: Super Speedway is excluded as strictly speakig ou don't have to "drive" the car:)

Hrm, sorry about that GT3Maniac.....one of you guys needs to change his avatar.

And thx for the help. :D
I know I accidentally copied his but I'm obssessed with Lancer's and i think that's one. If anyone can prove me wrong I'll change it. I just felt the toyota gt-1 i was using was getting old.

You know you're playing GT3 too much when ...

You start to [think you] understand the program behind the game and know how to cheat the game.

You start catching the program messing up, eg: you notice that the little car icon in the time results list isn't the same color as the one you were racing against.

You think you, with no programing experience, could write a better game (:

You leave your PS2 on with GT3 running just so you don't have to wait for it to start up.

You achieve 100% completion in Simulation mode, but don't own a memory card ....

You have a folding 'umbrella chair' lounger that you use to 'race' in GT3 because it gets you in 'racing posture'. [No they're not selling them anymore and NO you can't have mine (: But I will post a picture as soon as I remember to bring home the digital camera. ]

No big, but I think that's a Skyline....I'll try to find you a nice Lancer pic and make an avatar of it. :)

It's an Nissan Skyline GT-R - R34 series. That's why I picked it.

I'll change mine back. There's a couple of Lancers in the avatars.

How about when you do a 20 lapper with your friend and all of a sudden after 15 laps his car smacks the wall at the end of the 200mph straightaway and you look over and it looks like he's sleeping but you can't tell b/c your eyes are screwed up from playing gt3 for 10 hours....then you wake him up and see that it's 3:30 in the morning........oh yah , we have school tommorrow don't we!
