Your 10 Personal Effects?

Out of necessity or luxury you have to chose 10 of your own personal items to keep while the rest are scraped.

Whatever the basis for it; saving for that mid-life crisis DB5, needing a kidney transplant, upping a finger to consumerism, it doesn't matter. It's all theoretic. (Don't worry, no zombies here)

A few simple rules to go with:

Disposables/ consumables don't count. Razor blades, soap, smokes, train tickets, gum...

Clothes don't count. Let's assume you have a good pair of Levi's, a nice set of loafers and a lovely Parker jacket. Same goes for pants and socks.

Standard house hold items don't count. Don't waste you 10 spaces with a bed, AC, wardrobe, sofa, toothbrush, china ware/ silverware, towel...

Vehicles count as an item. Bank cards & passports etc. are not considered personal property for this.

Some exceptions: If you have a chronic medical condition that has to be medicated constantly the meds should go on the list. A watch is not to be counted as clothing.

Collections should be thought about wisely. Saying "My racing rig." doesn't count. You can have your PS3/ Xbox with games and controllers but the TV/ Projector and/or wheel are an item themselves. Same with a PC; come with cables, keyboard, mouse but not the 5.1 Dolby system hooked up to it.

Take some time, it's not something I could do in one sitting so see what others have and choose wisely. Everything must go but these ten things.

Had to do this what with moving away and coming back from the university.

1. Skillet (his name is Ferris and he makes a mean steak)
2. Hard drives with my creative library (writing, art, etc. Stuff that can't be replaced)

Yes but my point is that Photonrider is a premium member and in the screenshot, he still has text ads.

Maybe he wasn't logged in when he took the screen shot? You only lose the ads when you're logged in.

First of all, props to "At 1" for the Dreamcast. That is gutsy, and just too cool. 👍 Secondly, I want to see Omnis in Kendo gear, holding a long gun. That. Would be money.

I would take my bogu, but not my gi and hakama. Hakama is all salty and the pleats came out of it. And the gi is way too hot for FL and weighs like 25 pounds after practice from all the sweat. Would be great for a harsh winter though. Throw it over my waterproof winter stuff to protect against thorns and bamboo splinters while running through a forest. :lol:
