Before I start, this is NOT a thread to flame GT5, I have backed the game up on many occasions but will comment on it's shortcomings (every game has them) I have named this GT:Game, as it is like the T500RS, for sim users..... This

Although I love GT5, here is what I'd like to see.

1. I'd like the game to clarify it's meanings (is it a racing game or is it a CAR racing game?). What I mean is that it has Super-GT cars, LMP's, Normal cars, Rally cars... the lot!
Although this can be good, sometimes defining one thing is better than stuffing the game. To improve this, I personally would like classes (GT1, Formula class, Super GT, Karting and Rally) So you would have to choose your path.

2. More real life tracks.

3. The cars should be some past and present like the 2010, 2009, 2011, 2008 ect. Class cars... Totaling about 100 in each (bar karts).

4. Fully working penalty system with safety cars ect.

5. NO SRF, Traction control... meh, put it in as you would find it in cars...

...That is pretty much it...

I'm keeping it real:
-The addition of all prior GT tracks plus some notables like Spa.
-Addition of Porche.
-More focus on individual racing leagues and classes, like maybe having a whole career for Super GT, NASCAR, WRC etc.
-More realistic racing rules with qualifying, flags etc
-The ability to race mod all cars, and maybe have already established versions of race mod for certain cars (ex, maybe have a Super GT race mod for the NSX and a FIA GT)
-Livery editor
-Way better and more customization options

Well I think what I said was real and could be made... oops! I forgot damage!:O
But as long as PD are under Sony, they will always make GT like how it is to appeal to more people... However, I hope Sony can give them the go-ahead to produce games like we've mentioned.

If I were making it, I'd make a separate GT game just for race cars and their respective series. Pescarolos and Audis? Why not have the ALMS, or ILMC? Or at least replicate it.

1) Porsche (GT2, GT3, 997, Carrera GT, Cayman, Cayman S/R, at least)
2) All cars with changable rims, GT4 style with plus sizing possible
3) More specialized tuning with aftermarket and name brands. Mugen, Spoon, HKS, Nismo, Mopar, SVT, Kenne Bell, TRD, Tokico, Koni, etc etc
4) Online Racing League management (set point totals, tuning restrictions, leaderboard tracking, schedule planning, demerit system, rules, etc)
5) Team/Clan/Guild online support with logos, colors, etc
6) Drag Strip (Vegas, Denver, San Diego)
7) Livery editor, including interiors.
8) Brake tuning (lines, pads, rotors, plus-sized rotors (requiring plus sized rims), caliper upgrades to 4-pot and 6-pot) and modeling (fade! pit call requirements or uneven/no braking!)
9) Better tire modeling allowing better widths... increased camber causing uneven wear to offset the better traction, pressure monitoring? Run flats? Road hazards?
10) realistic damage including debris and destructible terrain/obstacles (someones hood flies off and jagged pieces of fender in the road making you avoid it or risk getting flats and/or damage of your own).

Good luck dude...

The Mod's just closed another thread about what people wanted to see in the game, just a few minutes ago, there're so many threads on this subject already..

But anyway, I wish you all the best....

They closed that because they saw it as a dig on GT5... this is what would you would want in your dream GT game.

-Porsche, if possible. Given PD's passion for cars, I think they'd do a great job showcasing a marque with such a rich history.
-More premiums
-More cars with race modification available
-Free paint shop with a modest livery editor
-More detailed tuning with respect to parts and options, as well as the ability to return a car to stock condition

Otherwise, PD has done a great job and I'm really enjoying the game.

Actually, this is yet another wish list. Wording it a different way doesn't change that. And we've had plenty of those already.

Test Drive unlimited world to drive around in, GT5 premium cars and physics with the brakes/tyre model and setup options from iRacing. More real life tracks, a drag strip, more alloy wheels, more bodykit/aerodynamic parts, more cars with race car mods.

- Better ai
- More cars in a race at the same time
- A lot more racing content (races, events, specials, time trials, drift events, missions)
- more unlockables (cars, special events, items)
- each race and championship has specific requirements for the type of car and driver experience (not levels)
- no experience levels
- cars and parts can break down if repairs are not done properly

- you need to build your career. Start doing time trials in sweaty civic and end up in 666bhp lancer. Then start doing single seater racing and because of the earlier TT experience you can make it quicker (or skip) the early or mid levels o the way to the top. Some things coincide better than others.
- career branches. ^
- paid rides (no need to buy the car but you need to achieve certain goals to be eligible for this. Like winning in f1, nascar, lemans, jgtc or dtm championships)
- you can rent cars or teams for races or championships

- More tracks
- In a way I like the idea of adding test drive unlimited type of free driving mode.
- Better tuning where you can focus on different areas. Like on engine tuning focus on more torque or high rpms. Or focus on chassis rigidity or low center of gravity.
- Not all prizes are money or cars. Sometimes you can win a drive in some new series (paid drive) or some other items

- No b-spec
- ability to save between races and during races

- friends could do endurance races together with you (driver changes)
- add some basic team management. Basically buying stuff to be able to do things (garage slots, tools, crews, technical persons, paint booths. No micromanagement stuff like paying rent, travel expenses or hiring individuals or paying salaries though. Each of these "upgrades" allows you to do different things cheaper, efficiently or allow to do totally new things. Basically you buy new ways to make better stuff that is otherwise sick expensive or not available.)
- add rpg type of element to the car tuning. By spending money into research you can focus on few things on the car to make it better (aerodynamics, tire wear, grip, power, room for bigger engine or bigger tires, better suspension.)
- cars can be made heavier (ballasts) and lose power (intake restrictions)

- scrapyard where you can buy used parts like engines and drivetrains and partial cars. Also a hi-tech version exists where you can have custom stuff made for you. At a price.
- a system to rate cars' competitivenesses
- a system to rate drivers' competitivenes
- system to reward from not using driving aids and generally having more difficult races. Using the driver rating and the car rating you can get bigger rewards from doing harder races by being the underdog.

- proper wheel settings
- lots of options to set up different things well (microphones, in-car view settings, fov...)

Gt5 graphics and physics + GRID damage system + Forza 3 customization system + Driver roaming system

that would be the perfect car game

place a "city" in the game (eg. Tokyo or NYC) and allow us to "just drive"

you know, just drive for the pleasure of it. allow us to go where we want. maybe hook into google street-view for realism.

My ideal game is GT5 plus:

- Ability to change wheels on standard cars
- Visual peformance mods for standard cars (e.g. exhaust & carbon hood)
- Cockpit view for standards (I'd be happy if the quality of interior cams were the same as they are in GRID)
- Racing mods avaliable for At least 50 premium cars/200 Standards
- 20 new A spec events each month (or 2 weeks if possible)
- B spec mode axed
- Open world avaliable for city tracks and the nurgburgring online
- Interior tuning without the need to RM a car
- Standard cars with hi-res textures
- Standard cars in Photo mode
- Big cities (New York, Tokyo, London, Paris etc.) for Photo Travel

No lie, this is exactly the combination I was thinking about the other day! Combining those three games, you could make THE PERFECT racing game... as long as they leave the "rewind" button out!

- Wheels on standards
- Standards in photo travel
- No camera proximity limit on standards
- Every car from the previous games plus more
- In fact, just no standards at all.
- Menu screens and music the exact same as GT2
- RM on ALL cars.
- All tracks and rally tracks from previous games

That would be.. Heaven.

ALL CARS PREMIUM

ALL CLASSIC GT TRACKS

MORE VISUAL TUNING

POLISHED CAR SOUNDS

ALL CARS FROM LAST GT`S

RACING MODIFICATION IN MORE CARS

BETTER BREAKING SYSTEM

NIGHT AND DAY IN ALL TRACKS

PORSCHE CARS AND MORE FERRARIS AND LAMBOS, OH!, AND MORE EXOTIC CARS LIKE KOENIGSEGG, ETC..

POLISHED PHYSICS A BIT, I MEAN, LIKE IN "LIFE FOR SPEED"

THIS WOULD BE "THE REAL DRIVING SIMULATOR".

as you can see, this isnt impossible for PD:sly:

someday...

1.NO MORE B-SPEC!
2. more tracks
3. touge tracks
4. freestyle/gymkhana tracks
5. official drift tracks.
6. pikes peak
7. all previous gt tracks
8 did I say more tracks?
9. more race mods
10. more events... but with more tracks that would be too easy
11. more in depth tuning.
12. tuning saves.
13. more visual tuning and livery editor.

I'm gonna stop right here so I don't write a book.

Simple, GT5s driving and car selection with Forza 3s tuning and car customization. Oh and a Escort Cosworth please.

- Bringing back old GT menu themes to menus.
- Race modifications on all PREMIUMS (including multiple choice liveries). Standard RM's probably wouldn't fit on the disc.
- More old Group C's, particularly the Porsche 962 and Lancia LC2.
- Less Skylines.
- A more simple B-Spec WITH THE ADDITION TO SPEED UP PLEASE.
- Up to 24 cars in a race (same as F1 Races)
- Actual NASCAR, WRC, Super GT and DTM series with F1 included as well.
- Every other GT track back. Except SSR11. That track was impossible to get around in GT1.

+1

I have no idea why GT5 and even Forza didn't copy TDU. Instead of buying from a dealership menu, you actually drive to the dealership and test drive cars. Instead of a menu garage, you have multiple garages in your luxurious homes.

Would also love to see Codemaster's quality damage to cars and environment.

Also Forza livery editor and painting.

GT5 physics and car models + TDU open world + FM3 customization + Dirt 2 damage = Dream GT game

Kaz even said that one day he would love free roaming in GT. It would end up killing TDU (which seems to be going in a Sims direction) but I'd like driving around in my tuned samba bus. Plus the obvious rim size changes and a livery editor...

That would just make too much sense.

Real world aftermarket part companies, their parts and real world results with those parts. Instead of getting a "Stage 2" turbo, you'll have to choose between Blitz, HKS ect.

Garage Races. You pick a couple of cars from your garage and battle them for comparison. Too bad they don't have a TV show PD could get the formula from...oh wait!:dopey:

The option to play A-spec completely online. Basically each event is a lobby, that way, when you do the Lupo Cup(first one that came to mind) you race against a field of other players online.*

*Of course, with more restrictions.

Stereos. Yes, stereos, so when your playing your custom music and you get close enough to another racer playing their custom music, you can hear it.

4. Fully working penalty system with safety cars ect.

There are players that would like a safety car, but there are far more players that would hate it. With real life races, the safety car period is a boring point when you go do something else until actual racing resumes, and it would be at least as boring in a game and only appealing to a minority. Then there's the fact that at least most of the races in the game are just a handful of laps, which don't need safety car periods thrown in there. Who wants a five-minute race with three minutes of safety car in the middle of it?

I'm fine with penalties, but not a safety car, except possibly for long races. If a race is ten minutes or less, keep the safety cars out.
