7:28 in the GTR to get the trophy
7:35 in the 430 Scuderia (sport hard) - much more fun!!
I've done the ring in
7:07 in a nismo R32 skyline
7:27 in a ep3 civic type r
7:35 in a spoon civic ek9 (285hp)
Do you not know the ring that well? I'm not having ago, just I general question
I have an Excel document where I write all the fast laps I do with road cars on the ring. I use Sport Soft Tires for road cars, because I think Racing Tires are pretty unrealistic on road cars. All the cars are completely stock, and no one has done oil change. Here's the lap times =D
6:59.047 Ferrari Enzo '02
7:00.812 Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR '08
7:09.395 Ferrari 430 Scuderia '07
7:11.205 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano '06
7:17.905 Ferrari F40 '92
7:18.690 RUF RGT '00
7:21.911 Dodge Viper GTS '02
7:24.511 RUF CTR Yellowbird '87
7:53.149 Shelby GT350R '65
7:56.794 Honda Civic Type R (EP) '04
7:56.969 Honda Integra Type R (DC5) '04
8:04.271 Honda Civic Type R '08
8:04.795 Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '95
8:07.230 Mitsubishi FTO GPX '99

8:30.088 Citroen C4 Coupe 2.0 VTS '05
There is easily 20-30+ sec difference(if not a whole lot more) from Sports soft to hard, and even more on race tires. The fact that so many times quoted in this thread are on race soft on a "normal" road car just make the car not "normal" anymore...
All I'm saying is Toyo R888 tires
They are essentially slick tires they have he most minimal amount of tread cut into them and once they are warm they are practically slick tires for road cars and are road legal so until PD decide to include road legal slicks then racing slicks are as close as you'll get
Just my 2 pence
Different compounds. Different weight. Practically....completely different.
Scotty
So far I have only had one normal car with any speed out there for a run and that was in an online race. I turned a 7:03 in a 67 Cougar XR7 but it was an ugly lap. I could definitely go faster.
The Zonda R is basically a race car btw so I would not count that one nor the Stealth McLaren F1
As far as I know the R in Zonda-R stands for Race
Okay, I ran 3 cars. All were totally stock with no tuning and race soft tires. "Street legal"
What tires? He did those time on default tires which would have been Sports Hard, and its not really that bad of a laptime....

With the Zonda R I picked up around 14 seconds going from the racing softs to the sports softs.
I would guess from sports softs to sports hards would be no more than 6-8 secs. But thats with a laptime of 6:17-6:30. With a longer lap it will leave a larger diff. Perhaps with a 7:30 to an 8:00 lap car it might make up to 10-12 seconds diff. But certainly not 30 secs. So I cant agree.
Now in real life who the F knows!!! But in the game it doesnt make a huge diff.
That's a lap on the ring with a stock Subaru Impreza WRX STI on sport hard tires. I was trying to match the time done by Tommi Makinen with this car, he done a 7.55.000, but his lap finished just after the last turn, but has started at the regular start line. I've done a 7.55.002, this car is fun to drive 👍
That's on sport hards - the GTR is quicker than the Scuderia 'round there and anyone who's got the 7.28 (or quicker) time on the GTR with sport hards knows it has to be a fairly clean lap.
Yes I know the 'Ring, I've driven it for real in a Mazda 3 and done a sub 11 minute in the rain & fog which was kind scary!! Waiting to afford an E46 M3 next year and do it a little quicker!!
Awesome, that's an amazing lap!
Andy, How do you get the You Tube clip to show with the picture like that. I have a you tube account and posted a Lap I did in the Alfa 8C but it keeps coming out like this,

Nice lap in the Ruf BTW
NICE, you are very patient. Thats good quality for this game. Not sure if it can be classed as a normal road car,
Kubelwagen type 82
16.53.963
Pretty sure I can shave a few seconds here and there.
Completely stock, not even an oil change, on comfort mediums.
