Not sure if it can be classed as a normal road car,

Kubelwagen type 82

16.53.963

Pretty sure I can shave a few seconds here and there.

Completely stock, not even an oil change, on comfort mediums.

:)

That is epic. I have run in an old fiat 500 and got a 20.01.xxx (I think). it was on race softs.

The Zonda R holds the record for fastest lap around the ring in a production car. 6:47.

Production car, yes, road car, no. It is more of a track day car. Clarkson went through the ins and outs of the car in his DVD "The Italian Job," explaining that it's not road legal because of noise, tires, etc, and it doesn't qualify for any existing race series, either. A mad car

there are a few zondas in the game, is the one in the used car section the road version and obviously the r and lm beinr the race ones
therefore the one from the used car section should be legit for this event, but i think most are using the one from the new dealer

Nissan R390 must have a good stab at this?

I'm no pro and hate the ring but one of you lot must have one of these tucked away.

Also Mclaren F1 with 800+ bhp and 920kg must be devastating on a good lap.

Got the spoon civic (284hp) down to 7:27 with one off and a couple of misjudged corners
That's the same time I've done in my 408hp ep3 civic so I'm pretty chuffed with the little 284hp warrior

I can't believe the zonda debate is still happening.
Zonda R is ****! It's not a road car it's a rich mans private race car! Simple. Even then why buy a car you don't technically own if you can only drive it on certain tracks at certain times, totally a road car that... Not

Get a road car and stop being batty boys!

Did a 7:59 in a Vauxhall Corsa 1.4.

Sadly I beat a couple of Zonda's and a Jaguar XJR-LM... Over 4 laps... :odd:

I watched that last night on Blu Ray.

Damn, the Zonda sounds amazing, even my labrador dog looked up from his slumber to see what it was!

Just to clarify the Zonda R situation:

"The Zonda R first surfaced in 2007, but only in July this year did Horacio casually announce that the car had popped over to the Nürburgring Nordschleife and clocked a lap time of 6:47. While the Pagani Zonda R is not street legal, Horacio Pagani claims it is based on a production car and thus eligible for setting the very unofficial record for production cars around the Nordschleife." - InsideLine mag

I'd really like to see the paperwork involved to get the Zonda R on the Nordschleife. It's Germany, after all! :dunce::scared::sly:

I can do 6:24 in the 390 Road Car. Race Car is a bit faster

I'm lapped a stock 2006 S2000 (on sport medium tires) in 8:26.xxx with all aids turned off (but ABS=1). That was just the best I managed after 3 laps. With practice I think I could get it down to 8:15 or less. I put sport medium tires on it b/c that's more or less how I have my car (2007 S2000) configured in real life (dunlop direzza Z1 star specs) and I was impressed in how similar the car handled.

I haven't fooled around on the Nurburgring a lot in practice mode so I don't have any impressive times to report. I think my best time is around an 8:05.xxx in a C63 AMG with all exhaust mods (507hp or so) on sport hard tires and all aids turned off. I had to be really gentle with the throttle on that car, lol.

7:54.906 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible (C3) '69

That's my last laps done in the last hour, all cars driven with no aids except abs=1 on sport soft tires. The cars are stock.

Do you use a wheel in the game?

Did a 7:18 in a Viper ACR, no assists, and I made a ton of mistakes. I could easily get it down to 6:50 ish, but I haven't yet, need to set the car up better as it understeers horribly.

Sport Soft Tires for all cars that are stock, all off except abs=1, manual shifting with a DFGT

I've raced a few stock cars at the ring. Using a DS3 though :(

Lambo Murci LP670 SV - 7.51 (spun once)
Audi R8 v10 - 7.50

TC 5, abs 1 everything else off. Using whatever tires comes on them from the dealer, I think Sport Hards on both.

Fully tuned with top speed set to 300 kph. No other changes in settings.
No assists except ABS=1. Racing soft tires.

7:56.xxx

I drove very safe, so that I wouldn't get off the road, therefore I'm not surprised if many people in this forum does it >30 seconds faster.

Also Mclaren F1 with 42345+ bhp and 920kg must be devastating on a good lap.

Would a xxx bhp 920kg's Mclaren with slicks be classified as a normal roadcar?
No.

This thread =
Normal roadcar... Let me see. Ah, that would be my 23442 BHP+ Veyron with racing slicks going around in 6.xx.xxx
