I didn't see a thread like this, so I'll start it.

I personally like some classic rock playing when I race, especially when I have a muscle car out.
=)

agreed, nothing like some acdc, alice cooper, ozzy osbourne or metallica cranked in the background while turning laps in my 454 chevelle, 69 dodge charger or even a nascar,

however, im more a road course pp/ F1/ racer/shuffle racer, and in the heat of a close battle, i cant go past some RAMMSTEIN or STATIC-X

The Wipeout HD soundtrack- a bunch of unusual DJ mixes, mostly to keep me "fast paced".

For drifting i listen to M.O.V.E. (Initial D band) when i drift my FC RX-7. But when i'm racing i listen to 80's thrash metal band Carnivore, which brings relief on my raging once in a while!

There's a few a search for "music" turned up. I'm not sure if there is a right one or not.

I usually listen to nothing but my car and tires and the other cars. Otherwise, I'll listen to whatever I feel like. It's not like there is a particular style of music suited to driving fast. If you like metal, you'll like driving fast to metal. If you like classical, you may well enjoy racing with classical. If you like bouncy pop songs, they'll likely help get you in the mood for racing. If you like listening to robot noises, you'll probably think robot noises are appropriate for driving fast. And so on.

Molly Hatchet Flirtin' with Disaster when I'm racing at Daytona in my Superbird. Sorry to all those that I crashed but I go ape **** to this song.

Personally I don't like any of the music in GT5. Had way too much grief trying to get my own music to work so I just have it turned off. Not sure you can really turn it off so sound all the way down to zero.

This is a racing game so let the racing sounds resound & rejoice! Though back in the early 70's I did listen to Jimi Hendrix's Electric Ladyland when I was street racing my 64 1/2 Mustang though it was kinda hard when running open headers. LMAO! It is a miracle that I survived those days.

rascal flatts=red camaro & life is a highway
van halen=panama
crush 40=revvin'up & into the wind
sons of angels=on the road again, in the lead, fuel me, all the way, fill it up, dangerous grounds, watch me fly, & the star spangled banner
foo fighter=hero

Mix of Depeche Mode, Guns N Roses and The Cure.

Not allowed to put Slipknot, Cannibal Corpse or Marilyn Manson in the personal BGM though, since my little brother plays GT5 on my account...

Band of Skulls - Patterns from the default playlists.

You're from Hampshire, you're bound to say that! lol, good to see support for local decent blues rock bands. Being from Sheffield, Wet Nuns get my vote...
For BGM on GT I prefer spaced-out fuzzy stoner jams, like TAB or Radar Men From The Moon, 35007, The Machine, Samsara Blues Experiment, Kyuss, you get the idea.

I like a good mix of music so my bgm is full of metal punk dubstep and drum and bass, usually I start with machinehead hellalive album and then as the night progresses play some blink 182 and then a bit of shuffling the bgm usually end the game session listening too skrillex bangarang album :-)
